I like that you mentioned LG is the first to put wide angled camera in phones.
Lg is underrated. My LG v30 was one of my favorite devises ever. I had newer phones but chose to stick with it until the s10 plus. The audio on the v30 is still better than anything other than LG flagships
Any Microsoft stylus should work. Also swiping with three fingers moves apps from screen to screen. Double tab to wake/sleep also works on the second screen. Just a few more tips.
To activate the dual screen you can also just double tap on the second screen and it will turn it on and off

LG has superior audio. I've had two. This may be my third. They sound incredible.
I have had mine since may 6th, i love it would recommend to anyone who has an LG or anyone who just likes android. Pics and videos are super crisp and clear. music and videos have great audio and can also be very loud towards max volume. love the option to use the dual screen also keeps the headphone jack and flat display instead of curved, I like either or not picky, i get a lot less accidental touches with this phone
there is another benefit of having same screen layout on case you can apply same screen protectors to both not many people use those but for consumer its very handy
Also LG gives us spare screen when you purchase the phone so you can easily replace in the future without extra money
After 3 years and it's still my dream phone 😢❤
You can still find these new unopened or open boxes never used, occasionally. And they are cheap nowadays.
Thank you for mentioning the pen cause it seems like most reviewers have missed it and a cheaper note device with dual screen capabilities makes this the closest thing to a Galaxy Fold Note as we're gonna get (until it comes out and IF they can reinforce the screen enough add a S-Pen).

TBH even LG forgot to mention Pen support. They suck at marketing. Also with their smart implementation of a telephoto lens that they also fail to mention

I'd rather have a phone like this V 40 that device has everything in it why it is a little more expensive, just wait a little bit you get great deals I got my v40 3 months after it came out for half price

Great overview on the LG V60
Your back to basics overview was a refreshing return to how phones used to be reviewed on RUclips, before Apple and Samsung strong armed reviewers into giving their phones outstanding reviews if you wanted to keep being put on the P.R list.
So I thank you for just stating the facts and letting the consumers decide for themselves the way it should be.
I know that Samsung and Apple bring in the views that get the revenue... But it was nice to hear someone not bashing it for once because it not a Samsung.
Well Apple purchase phones and pay the viewers to criticize opponents phones. Noway, NO WAY will some one hash out a grand to buy a phone then trash the phone's image. Apple purchase about 23 phones, set a side a budget then pay grands to people sometimes their own people to say how bad other brands phones are. It's a marketing scheme LG, Sony and others don't utilize.
A person who doesn't know would actually think an iPhone could compete just from their ignorance and being misinformed by paid reviewers. It pays to know for yourself. That's how I found out about the LG V50. I usually go for the G series but that V50 is a damn good phone. I generally don't even watch reviews but do hands on examinations like any LOGICAL person would do.

I am surprised this device's product page didn't mention its audio capabilities, considering that that's always been a thing with LG V-series phones.

Everyone's focused on Huawei's new P40, but I like how other RUclipsrs like you are focused on more important phones like the V60.

Curved screens suck. Thats one of the many reasons im gladly dumping my note 8 and getting this.
No kidding. My brother has the curved s10 screen and got unlucky enough to get hit in that general area. Curved screens pose more of a target so I know what you mean.
I hear ya, I just got this phone coming from the note 9, curved screen was one of the only things I hated about the phone. Not sure why they think it's a good thing to have.
Same situation with me. I upgraded from a Note 8 to the V60 and the curved screen on the Note had a lot to do with it.
Reason why I stopped buying Samsung. And after buying the v30 I never looked back. My v60 is on its way , and I'm typing this with my problem free v30 .

@@CallMeRabbitzUSVI If you look up LG's "LG at CES 2018" video, the speaker pronounces it Thin Q. So I don't think even they know how they want you to say it.
I researched how it is supposed to be pronounced and it is supposed to be think (thinq) technology.
Either way it's still a bad name. These comments prove it.
This device is great and as Juan Bagnell said LG could have easily made 2 6.8 in Quad HD displays with 120 hertz refresh rates and charge $2,000 for it and people would throw a f****** fit so it seems like they dropped out of the Quad HD game and went to 1080 like everyone else is and with a 6.8 inch screens well two of them I don't really think it's that big of a deal but to keep the price low they definitely had to stay full HD I would just like a single V60 with Quad HD or maybe they'll make the G9 that I don't know but I'm not downgrading my display Quad HD is f****** beautiful on my v40
Hey Kevin, I agree about LG saving money by their display, BUT.....the V60 display is fantastic. I upgrsded from the v40 for the V60 and absolutely love it. Having both side by side is what ultimately sold me! I hope you have a chance to compare them yourself, because I believe 100% that you would love the V60. If you like the 40, then you will LOVE the 60. Take care friend!
It's more than cost savings, remember, it's running two screens so higher resolution and refresh rates would drain battery much faster.
Good review. The display spread across both screens is useful if you turned the phone in landscape mode (duh). You could have also shown dual screen for the gallery app. You didn't mention the FM radio which is like having another gadget built in (and more responsive than online stations). You made a good brief demo of the ASMR mode.
Just got this phone, been rocking the V series since the V10, then 20, 40 and now 60. Thanks for the crash course on the phone, I didnt know what was new compared to my V40.
I am definitely switching to LG for my next phone :)

The content was great! It seemed like it was the perfect length of time. "Just RUclips ASMR, and see how ridiculous it can be!" - classic!
I have been using a V30 since it came out, amazing phone. Only issue is it got crunched in an electric movie theater seat so the screen is pretty much toasted. I love the idea of the v60 the only issue was the camera quality isnt as good as the competition (same was true with the v30). If I were paying full retail I would probably look closer at the competition, however T-mobile and other carriers are having a buy one, get one offer on the v60, essentially make it a $400 phone. Now if you look at other $400 phones in the market, this ones a hands down winner. It even makes it a MUCH more viable option that the other flagships due to how much you are now getting for the money.
Edit: Most of the camera issues have to do with color balance and over-exposure. On my v30 i had the same issues and installed a modified google camera app that came from the pixel. This made photos next level with the color balance, exposure, and the HDR was insane. I am sure installing this on the v60 should bring the photo quality to that of the other flagships if not better, making it that much more enticing for the price.
The camera's are actually BETTER than the competition right now!!! The issue is that LG's auto mode doesn't over sharpen the image and make it all SUPER BRIGHT AND VIVID AND COLORFUL CRAZINESS!!! It tries to take a picture MUCH closer to how it actually appears. But it has easily the most extensive and capable "Pro mode" out of all the flagship phones.... You just have to take the time to learn all the tools and use them the take the EXACT picture you envision or want!!!....

Wall papers on the dual screens on this phone will take a lot of thought, and will be amazing, I would love to see some interesting ones, as no other flagship can boast 2 6.8" Oled screens.

Good review.I do have one question though is anybody else thinking about the possibility of using a male to female USB c cable to separate the two screens?
It looks to me like with a 3-foot cable you could actually get a multi user experience which would be just weird but cool for some things.

So I just bought this phone through T-mobile last week (for $700, 6 months after release). Upgraded from the G5 after it started failing on me. This phone is great, massive battery, great DAC, dual screen is a big plus. My biggest gripe is that some headphones won't plug in through the dual screen case. I have a pair of everyday skullcandy (the cheap $10 pair), a pair of AKGs K240s, and an aux cable in my car. I can only plug the skullcandys in through the dual screen case. The case opening is so small. You would think LG would think ahead and widen the headphone jack opening on the dual screen case, seeing that the DAC and dual screen are big selling points. Would highly recommend, just get some headphone extensions too!

Very good video, most talk about the specs in every review and that's it, you actually went indepth (somewhat) into some of the features and functions if this phone.
This is quality content. Since the channel name is the unlocker" it would be nice if you tell how to unlock bootloader of each and every phone, nowadays it is getting more and more difficult

It would be cool if you had a webpage opened up on both screens, but instead of it spanning across the screen, the right screen would just be a continuation of the vertical scrolling of the left screen like the how reading a book, the right page is a continuation of the left page. I think this would be a simple implementation that would be used. For example, it would be great to read a long article in this format.
Another thing that would be cool, and maybe this is already available, is if you had a webpage or some sort of text on one side, and then a notetaking app on the other side that would automatically be embedded with actions on the text side. For example, if you were reading a webpage, and then you highlight a portion, that highlighted text would automatically show up as a bullet point on the notetaking app. I could see this note taking app being useful in conjunction with other heavy text apps like Twitter for example.
If they had Red like the g8 and had the Wide Angle Selfie Cam, this would of been the PERFECT Phone for me!
If it's a Samsung or an Apple then it's freaking awesome? This phone is a damn beast and let's be honest most people never use anything pass auto. I would get this phone instead of the S20 Ultra.

You can use 3 fingers to swipe Content from one screen to the other.
Also you can double tap the 2nd screen to turn it on and off, can also slide three fingers and switch the apps from one screen to another.
11:49 You can download split screen LG from play store and have ALL apps using both screens. Also, the hole for the speaker in the dual screen case is for the sound to go through when making a call. You don't need to open the case.
An audiophile's dream phone. The 32bit DAC. A monster 5ooomamp 🔋 with a 1080p P-OLED display. LG offers a single or duel screen. Another great phone that will be seriously underrated? LG'S best offering to date. Very good review!

I think its a very solid phone that do basics very well. Lg has priced it reasonably.. I have used 90 hz refresh.. And 60 hz phones dosent bother me at all. I will take a better battery any day.. Photo and video quality isn't ground breaking but hey most ppl wont even notice.. In a whole i think its a very good phone and thanks man for this in depth review.. Cheers..
There is no groundbreaking feature in the camera but you can take groundbreaking pictures and videos if you learn to master the manual mode. This is a DIY phone

I really want this phone but I’m still feeling the burn from LG’s poor support during the boot loop issues with the G4 and V10 back in the day. They make really pretty phones but yeah..... I’ll have to research what their support is these days.

Less than a minute in, I would just like to say, THANK YOU for pronouncing it "THINK". I don't know why everyone else, since the V30 refresh, has been pronouncing it as "thin-cue". Seriously, this is the absolute first time I've heard anyone else besides myself say "think".

I used a G3, and G5 back in the day but I've been using a Pixel recently and I had forgotten about some of the little LG android quirks like the cleaning tool. Nobody spends any time on the software anymore, they just want to talk about the screens and cameras. Thanks for the details!
