      So I’ve had the car 7 months and haven’t driven it 100miles because I tore everything apart from interior to engine bay and did all new gaskets and every bit I could without pulling the engine and now I’m finally on the home stretch bc I wanted a new lightweight flywheel and unsprung clutch also replaced every part involved and new solid diff bushings. We’re also doing full header back exhaust z1 single exit. (Best sounding besides high dollar exhaust systems) the list we did and are doing, videos to come, is pretty long!! Should end up around 300 wheel hp after a good tune. Likely going to do a plug and play computer upgrade as well soon… so lots to come and some drifting videos coming soon. Thinking of doing tutorials on how to drift and teach drifting through video..

    why did my plenum spacer only come with bolts and washers hardware no metal spacers like yours did

    • @Stature17
      @Stature17  Год назад

      That’s odd. You need them for the middle of the plenum. On the top part is has the long tubes where the bolts run through and the metal pcs are to space the 6 of those and seal around so if you don’t have them you’ll need 6 that are the same thickness as the spacer itself.

    I've seen in some other videos that the two studs that you put the nuts on are too short for a plenum spacer and they have to be removed. Did you have to do that with yours?

    • @Stature17
      @Stature17  Год назад +1

      The studs are short yes but there are plenty of them to where it made no difference after two years of hard driving not a single issue.

    I wouldn’t buy plastic for my car don’t cheap out on your vehicle it won’t be good

    • @Stature17
      @Stature17  2 года назад +4

      One it’s not plastic and 2 it’s actually better at doing it’s job which most people think is adding space in the plenum.. it’s a thermal spacer which means it reduces heat transfer.. you know what transfers a ton of heat? Aluminum… you know what doesn’t… composite. That’s why I went composite because it’s better at doing what it’s supposed to.

      @@Stature17 I just bought the same and i am about to install it today. Have you had any issues with it since you installed it?.

    • @Stature17
      @Stature17  2 года назад +2

      @@turboskywalker9108 none at all! And when the car is hot you touch the plastic and it’s not nearly the same temp! So if I had a choice id still run the same one. Only thing is I found the correct second gasket for the top of the plenum when I did it I couldn’t find one but z1 sells it so gna order that this week and re do the top. I have gasket maker for the top gasket rn. Works perfect just wanna do it right 1000%!

      @@Stature17 sweet bro! I was just worried about melting and the manufacturer sent me a message back saying that won't be an issue at all. I went and bought the maker seal after I watched this. Because I didn't get a gasket either. But one more question....have you found any increase in power? Some say it's a placebo effect after installing them 😅

    • @Stature17
      @Stature17  2 года назад +1

      I did a ton all at once I’ve never driven the car in stock form so I don’t have a reference accept other cars w same engine. But it depends. If you do just that and nothing else it probably won’t get to full potential I did the cold air intake ported and polished the plenum and lower manifold and polished the tb. I also did headers and full exhaust and this car has variable exhaust timing not all do. Headers made everything intake related get to full potential because it had somewhere to go…. You get what I mean. In my opinion it helps low end torque that immediate throttle response having more volume but technically it’s for heat transfer it’s called a thermal spacer.
