Slice off the bottom. Turn it back over and slice the top half. Now keep that for later. Slice that in half. Lay down flat, and just slice that core off.
chef ramsay's way of mesuring things: a sprinkle = a lot a little = a lot too just a touch = probobly a lot a small amount = way too much to be considered ''small'' a pinch = well...you guessed it a few tablespoons = make sure you put at least 10 tablespoons, make it salty as fuck ...... hey i could go on and on
Hey Chef Ramsay, if it's not too much to ask could you start put your written instructions to make something in the description with all the ingredients I would need to try and make some of your dishes? If that's too much work I understand. Any ways thank you for another great video!
I'm also a bit dismayed when he says some of the quantities, but then says "add the rest of your sugar". It makes it difficult to guess the amounts needed to make these gorgeous dishes.
Gunnar Molstad Sometimes exact amounts are not really all that important. Give it a go, experiment, and play around with it. You do not have to be beholden to exact recipes.
Little tip: Variant on a stromboli recipe: take the filling for your stromboli with all that wonderful seasoning, take your meat and a bit of the vegetables and put it into a tortilla with your cheese and fold it over then cook for 10 minutes in an oven at 350F(175C) The spicy meaty filling comes in with a lot more impact than it does when it is tamed by the bread. It ALMOST overpowers your mouth, but in a good way. I did that with some left over meat from a stromboli on new years and a left over tortilla for my chicken quesadillas and wow that was great. I'm glad I had it as a left over when the strombolis were finally gone. The bread almost holds it back and the tortilla seems to not really nullify the flavors as much making it a powerfully bold dish when I had it.
@@youngomniverse35 Yep, but not all viewers use metric. As an American myself, I wish the US used the metric system instead of our shitty imperial measurements.
UnknownXV It's not that, it's just I think pineapple taste great on it's own.. and if we're talking sweets I'd rather have a cake or a pastry not a grilled fruit Lol.
Sigrafix Why bake a chocolate cake, when chocolate on it's own is already delicious? Because you can almost always improve ingredients. Try it, before you say it's not worth the effort.
***** Because chocolate is chocolate and a cake is a cake? what kind of stupid ass comparison is that?.. p.s. If I had chocolate I probably wouldn't bake a cake.. if I had cake batter, it probably wouldn't be chocolate.
I feel like if this were in a kitchen nightmares menu he would've been pissed off that the fact they were cooking fresh fruit and that they had placed the inedible pineapple stall on the plate
Always use serrated edge, pick top of leaves off of pineapple to test ripeness. slice to the point where you can use skin as the handle. Really hot griddle!! Start with hot pan. Caramel is about color...last 2 finish touches butter and cream. Simple but elegant and impressive, it's best shared.
Gordon can you do a more... Cooking showy type of video. Where the camera shows your whole kitchen and you tell exact measurements and show more hands-on cooking. I really love your work and I'd like to see it in more depth please!
It was browned by then, and since more ingredients were added, it had become a more complex concoction by the time he briefly whisked. He just meant not to stir it as it’s initially caramelizing.
Slice bottom and top of the pineapple, quarter it slice. Griddle pan as hot as you can. Push down to really grill mark on both sides 2 mins, sprinkle them with a touch of sugar to glaze light layer. Sprinkle sugar on pan, then fresh seeds from a pallilapod, and chinese (?) what spice, never stir caramel let it bubble transform to perfect color in with butter, cream, drizzle spicy caramel over your pineapple.

Nice to see ...wanted to know what's the chinese powder or something that you put ..it would be great if u can write down the recipe or put in blog :) An Indian version of this is to cut pineapple ..put some red chilli powder and salt a little n munch on Second recipe is called pineapple bhel ..where u cut pineapple thin slices n put chilli chutney n tamarind chutney ..and cover this with a heap of puffed rice n lemon juice ...n finally some om pudi( an Indian snack ).hope I try it .
The color and smell are a much better way to tell if a pineapple is sweet and ripe. The leaves will come out regardless if the pineapple has been sitting around long enough.
Woo ~! I did not know that cutting pineapple with a serrated knife makes my life much easier. In addition chef Ramsay's voice tone in recent videos sounds rather TOO calm. I miss his super enthusiastic performances from previous vids~.
What does "As hot as you can" mean? If I put my stove top at max setting it'll immediately start burning anything I put on it. It be char if I put it 2 min per side.
@ Gordon Ramsey, why Should i only ever use a serrated knife? also, why are you sprinkling sugar over the pineapple? when i throw them on my grill they caramelize from the sugar they naturally contain, so how big of a difference will it make? Also, can i replace the caramel with pulled pork?
I use Stellar pans. They have no problems with metal utensils at all. It's like new after heavy use. However my Tefal pans used to be essentially disposable.
Is there any other types of pineapple Recipes That i can try Because I really want to try them to wow my mom and my baby sister because I really want to try something really special to get they're attention
Last time I checked we don't share taste buds with other people, so it really won't taste better shared. I'm happy to announce that this means more sweets for you. Go Go diabetus!
All in moderation. The sort of chef Ramsay is, the kind who own and work at absurdly expensive restaurants, they don't cook for health. Nobody, not even the wealthy socialite class, is going to be eating at a multi-Michelin Star establishment on a regular everyday basis! These kinds of places serve indulgences that cost hundreds of dollars per head, not daily fare. :)
bertsimpsan Try put a brick in there, the pot probably melt faster than the brick. I want constructive feedbacks, why would you come out here and talk shit?
Jiuling Li 'It melts on its own. Things melt when you heat them' then you say 'Try put a brick in there, the pot probably melt faster than the brick. I want constructive feedbacks, why would you come out here and talk shit?'. He answered your question you should be happy.
ILoveBurgerzz You see, i did that before, and it didn't work. The sugar didn't liquidize! And a ton of smoke from it. Unless I put salt there, which I doubt it cuz I tasted it afterwards.
Slice off the bottom. Turn it back over and slice the top half. Now keep that for later. Slice that in half. Lay down flat, and just slice that core off.
Chetz genius

hahahaha i can't stop laughing at this

Ye, she tried :)
@@bodychoke 🤦
Lmfao was thinking the same. Biggest tablespoons I’ve ever seen
chef ramsay's way of mesuring things:

a little = a lot too
just a touch = probobly a lot
a small amount = way too much to be considered ''small''
a pinch = well...you guessed it
a few tablespoons = make sure you put at least 10 tablespoons, make it salty as fuck
......
hey i could go on and on
But everything he cooks looks so delicious, even a fking slice of pineapple
A touch of olive oil, half the bottle
a knob of butter, half a stick. agreed tho it’s all the best looking stuff and i’m sure the taste is just as amazing
Just a ladle full = a concrete lorry just turned up at my house to deliver some olive oil! 😳
Mesuring? Probobly? You're so superior to Ramsay, wow.
When he said the pineapples smells incredible, I was like that's one thing that I know what it smells like.
4 fucking tablespoons eh? more like 4 cups.
+pRoxi more like 4 fucking cups
4 cups would be a few grams shorrt of 1 kg .... it's indeed 4 spoons
It's quite literally 60ml (4 tablespoons) of sugar. Your exaggeration would mean a liter of sugar. Quite a major difference.
Good god you fuckers are really focusing on his comedic exaggeration

Wow, no olive oil in the pan ? LOL
Do you normally put olive oil on your fruit?
Didnt have to look for long for this comment
10 months to do a wooooooooosh
Never oil in a grill-pan for fruits or vegetables.
How big is an imperial tablespoon?
DopeKevin I wanna say 3 teaspoons
Tablespoon = 15ml, teaspoon = 5ml. Wyvern there got it right.
Metric cup is 250ml.
Doesn't Ramsay use the metric system ? He is British
@@youngomniverse35 Yep, but not all viewers use metric. As an American myself, I wish the US used the metric system instead of our shitty imperial measurements.

This looks so elegant, for being simple ingredients. I always fail at caramel. Gordon makes it all look so easy.
Very simple, super flavors, excellent for breakfast, brunch or dessert. The perfect combination of the spiced vanilla caramel.
