Thanks for having a look, Frog. The original Queen was an American made brand that many wish had stuck around. SMKW is making them out of China now, but Tobias has heard some things about them coming back home. Dunno anything about that, but let's hope.
Despite the fact that the proud tangs negate the purpose of the canoe pattern, it's still a really good looking knife. Especially considering the price! Cheers, buddy!
Yes, I'd be much more critical if it were more expensive. As it is not going to win my favorite Canoe award, but a solid knife with some excellent blade types.
I like the Canoe pattern and I love the Queen Canoe in sawcut bone. That one looks good except the way the blades stick over the bolsters. You said it right the design of my the Canoe is to blend them in so the tang doesn't stick up. So that part is weird but the rest of the knife looks good. Thanks for reviewing it.
One of my criteria for a good knife is: can it do a good job peeling and cutting an apple? "Modern" knives can be like using a little hatchet. They do a bad job. A traditional pocket knife has thin, short blades that are more like a scalpel than a little hatchet.
Thanks for the quality response, Jeroen. I too would like to see the bolsters cover the tangs for a smooth spine profile. The 440C blade steel is a nice upgrade over previous Queen offerings from SMKW.
Nice looking Canoe, but I think they did a better job on the saw cut bone series. I'm waiting to see reviews on the Moose, hopefully it's without issues. Thanks for the review TK.
Hey TK 👊 Clearly, a classy series & a nice model, which I like 👌 Agree with you, it's a shame that the tang shoulders, don't sit below the eye-line... Cool video buddy, Atb Gus👍
Oh, yeah, RJ noticed those proud tangs, too. Weird. I’m not excited about the covers - starting to remind me of old Parker Frost burnt yellowy covers from the ‘90s. I like the slightly better steel, tho. I think RR has spoiled me for choices.
I love Canoes, but if the bolsters do not cover the blade end, its an absolute no go, thats the main feature of a Canoe & design purpose of a Canoe, personally I would return such a knife. I am not picky about other things like centeering or some blade scratches but that here is just not ok, because here they superesede both ends significantly... ufff
Canoe is a real.practical pattern & attractive
The bone is well done. It is a handsome piece.
I like the color of the scales, pleasant yellowish hue and the dark color in the grooves, nice price, thanks for showing it, TK.
I like the Winterbottom bone. The quality of the material and coloring they used is too be admired.
Boy TK you do a Nice Job on polishing those Scales! Good looking canoe.
Thanks, Tim. Just a light polish/buffing with Flitz.
I have never heard of queen knives. Nice looking knife there. Thank you for the look.

Really like the Queen box
440c moves up a tad.
Super review.
Thanks. Have a great Weekend.
Enjoy you week FB! Their packaging is attractive for such a simple design. Thanks buddy.
Nice looking knife! Great price! One of my favorite patterns!!
The bone is great. A handsome knife. Thanks, Mike.
Thanks Thrifty, I love canoe patterns. Will try a few from Queen.
It's a pattern I enjoy as well. Let us know how they work out for you, Marc.
I bought a red composit canoe, trapper and stockman. Like the canow so much just ordered the winterbottom canoe.
Great video! I like the Winterbottom bone series, really nice looking knives.
I think the bone is a nice look. I've been pretty happy with the series.
Despite the fact that the proud tangs negate the purpose of the canoe pattern, it's still a really good looking knife. Especially considering the price! Cheers, buddy!

Attractive knife at a very attractive price. Thanks for sharing.
You certainly can't complain about the price. Thanks, TKCO.

Yes, it just lacks the one characteristic those most like about a Canoe. Strange indeed.
You have the best intro bar none TK 12:39 $ thumbs up.👍
Thanks, James. Glad you like it. 👍
Beautiful bone scales on that one!!
Absolutely. They scales polish up nice.
I’m kinda burnt out on modern folders. Classic slip joints may scratch that itch. Thanks for the video.
Come on over Alan, glad to have you.

@@meaninglessname123 Great analysis.
Pretty nice one, i would like to see a bit larger bolster, but not a big issue. The bone looks really nice and the steel isn't bad. Thank you John.

I ignored the Canoe pattern for years, after I bought one I think they are great, the proud tangs would put me off this one though.
It's definitely not something a Canoe should have IMO.
Great review! I was also surprised that the tangs were not covered by the bolsters. I hope this doesn’t continue in the future.
Kinda weird like that, isn't it? Thanks for having a look, RJ.
I gotta tell ya that winterbottom bone is beautiful…… thrifty stop wiping the covers with oil to make it extra shiny 😂 great piece buddy!!!
Gotta makem purdy, Pete. The bone is really nice. 13 bucks? get outta here!
@@ThriftyKaniffy I hear ya my man I hear ya loud and clear over here 😀
Thanks West. 👍
Nice looking Canoe, but I think they did a better job on the saw cut bone series. I'm waiting to see reviews on the Moose, hopefully it's without issues. Thanks for the review TK.
The Queen sawcut bone is gonna be tough to top. Thanks for watching, Steve.

Cool video buddy,
Atb Gus👍
I found that odd. Kinda the point of the canoe design. Thanks Gus.
Very nice!
Thanks Randy, glad you liked the video. Canoes are a great a pattern.
Pretty knife
That bone!! Thanks KJ! 👍

Nice worker .👍
Indeed. Slender, good blade action, and the versatile blade shapes work well for all kinds of tasks.

Spoliled by RRs LOL. They do a give us plenty of good stuff.
Mr. Tobias said Queen steel is coming back home to the USA 🇺🇸 🦉
Would love to see it. Thanks, Owls.
What do you put on your knives to give them that polished look and does it work as a protectant as well
Flitz is my go to polish, Edward.
@@ThriftyKaniffy thanks Thrifty 👍
Nice Canoe 🛶
Pretty nice looking knife, Prop.

Yep, I understand. Can't be denied.
Not real impressed with this series. I really liked the sawcut bone one from 2 years ago but this doesn’t do it for me.
OK, thanks for the feedback Stuart.
