That guy distracting almost the entire enemy team single handedly while his team chokes is too relatable
Something else to add: when a mud mouth is KO, there is a salmonid getting launched in the air and landing in the mud pile. In the manual, it says that mud mouths are salmonids that got stuck in a pipe or something. So COOL!
Apparently, the wristbands on the splatfest tee doesn't link with the color of the shirt, instead it is correlated with your ink color. It's probably hard to tell during the splatfest but before a splatfest it is easy to tell.
In the main waiting lobby, if you go upstairs and look to the right of the big wall with letters in it, you can find a table turf secret in inkling/octoling language. Have fun with your lore!
Right outside the locker room, there is a sliding door that opens when you get near it. If you throw a sprinkler on the door, it moves with it! I was messing around and actually figured it out while I was watching this video! Keep up the great work!
Fun Fact if you splat an inkling or octoling right after they throw an ultra stamp, the ultra stamp will be thrown and be seen in their little pile of clothing and weapons as well.
Fun fact: a few days before the splatfest, you can see the city slightly changing into the splatfest city.

You can’t skip the announcements during Splatfests because DeepCut can’t be in the studio and on their floats at the same time.
This is probably common sense but this only JUST occurred to me ^^;
Here's a cool Fact: Most People will see the Giant TV in the Lobby for the Splatfest and never think about it again but a closer look will reveal it's actually a giant Nintendo Switch just without Joycons! Like at the bottom is the hole for the charger, those little square like speakers near the bottom and the sides of the screen have the slots for sliding in the Joycons!

Did you know you can find small fry around the city? Like behind you at spawn or like this wall that has plants. he’s just chillin

Here is a splatfest detail: when you do a tricolour turf war you can tell if it’s an actual one without looking. First, when it comes listen to the opening music and if it have a sort of different chime that means it’s tricolour.

Relating to splatfests: There are 3 jellies you can fight in tableturf, and you may know that jellyfish change colors for their team, but it seems that each specific jelly goes on a different team during a splatfest.

What strikes me the most about the glitch in Rainmaker Museum is that it even ignores the checkpoint!!!!!
3:08 the card is actually one of several referencing artwork from splatoon 1 of inklings posing with each weapon! others included are the splattershot jr, sploosh-o-matic, n-zap, e-liter 4k scope, and rapid blaster. its a really cool throwback

In the Story Mode, if you look right underneath Cuttlefish, you'll find some squid phones that Callie and Marie used to talk to Cuttlefish throughout the campaign.
In the lobby during this splatfest I noticed that the dummy’s are actually the team that your type beats
I really like how we immediately got the cannon appearance of New Agent 3 because of the table turf cards.
fun fact, the first time you go through the crater, all the zapfish, however when you interact with the zapfish plush to g back to the crater, all the zapfish get replaced with zapfish plushies

Fun fact: I don’t know if this is common knowledge or not, but the music in the lobby has a sort of echo to it. I didn’t realize this until yesterday, but if you go into the cylinder near the shell out machine that you can use to go into a match, when it goes into the menu you can hear the music unechoed in its full glory!

when you win a salmon run before defeating mr grizz, you hear his laughter from the game over screen, but in the end of a won round
When you attack the Scrapper, you can see the glass cracks. Also, in the lobby, you can walk away with the charger pointed at the lockers and they will slowly despawn.

3:36 you can definitely tell this person plays A LOT of salmon run, like- that's one of the core abilities you gotta have to dodge all those bosses and ink constantly flying everywhere.
or maybe they just practice a lot normally, who knows.
Not sure if this counts but in alterna before you find captain cuttlefish if you listen closely you hear a slowed down version of the salmon run music

Ok I just found a really cool detail you can't table turf Battle deep cut during a splatfest
This is a very simple secret and probably everyone knows it, but on Relic Restoration, if you go on the top of the statue, you get some power eggs

You know if you hit an inkling or a octoling in the square there is an animation of the inkling "falling" but you need to be a little bit accurate and even only at the inklings are walking

Hi idk if you did this already or know about it but in story mode if you go back to the first area again and complete a level there is a new cutscene of collecting the small zapfish and also a new look at the zapfish it turns into a plushie. and also in the lobby there is like secret messages or something on the ground and on the walls. And one more thing the fish stick thing that it breaks when it hit on that players head wasn't a glitch the fish stick tower breaks if you get all of the small Frys killed before the tower lands it would break it happened once to me that i killed all of the tiny salmon before it landed the tower.
Sorry, but the octopus is not a Squidward reference. It is the basic generic shape of an octopus with its blowhole facing out in the shape of a mouth that you see a lot in Japan.

fact: when you beat story mode the rocket is still on his place, but the boosters are blue. while the rocket boosters before you beat the game is orange.

Fun fact: during Pokémon splatfest (at least, not sure if this applies to the others) the dummy color in the lobby is always the same, and is the color of the team that you have the type advantage to (ex: team fire has green dummies because fire is good against grass)
Another reason the inklings can step in snow. They drown. Them exploding is just how they die

The Wild Card Weekend for grisco is one weekend earlier I think that that actually is announcing that either it's because of Thanksgiving (which I doubt) or it could be that that weekend is the first big run. that's some food for thought
Fun Fact, and please add this to the next episode: in the Shoal in SPlatoon 2 and in the food service in platoon 3, you can see 3 stickers that highly resemble MasterCard, Visa, and American Express next to the credit card thingy
so, most people know by now that squiding into ink leaves a small circle, but I found a way to get rid of that
if you jump, then transform midair, no mark is left
the jump leaves a mark, then the squid erases it

I’ve got 2:
The Pokémon Splatfest’s shirts have an ink splat on them. For grass, it’s red due to grass and fire not going good together. For fire, it’s blue due to water and fire not going good, either. For water, it’s green due to grass standing well against water.
(This one is from Splatoon 2, but it’s cool) On Captain cuttlefish’s walki talki, whatever it is, you can see his wallpaper is young Callie And Marie from a sunken scroll in Splatoon 1!
In the lobby (in the area where you can practice), behind the first ramp, there seems to be a drawing of a map and some kind of strategy being developed around it! It's written in chalk I believe, and I think it's a really nice detail
I don't know if this has been said but Fun fact: the colour outline of hologram inklings and octolings imply what is going to be said. Orange is they are in a battle and blue is that they ranked up

Not sure if anyone else has said this but, during a splatfest if you use the camera option when a member from deep cut is around they will stop and let you take the picture.
6:24 I feel like it's a combination of the hearing thing and 1.) The player's ink clearly in their base and not covered, signalling a potential enemy hiding there or 2.) The player wasn't in their ink so when the opponent dropped down, they briefly saw their squid form on their lower screen as they were swimming towards the ledge.
Small detail: when you use your ink weapon in salmon run, your floatie on your back will lose its ink, but when you stop shooting your weapon, the floatie gains ink again
that happens in every mode, as long as you’re not shooting

They made it so that in tri color sturgeon shipyard you can go into all of the bases without having to spawn there. Middle, theres a secret inkable wall, and sides you can just to a grate from the tall tower.

(note I said antagonistic, not villainous, they're two separate things, the antagonist is the person/thing that's against the protagonist, the antagonist isn't always the villain like the protagonist isn't always the hero, you can have a villainous protagonist and a heroic antagonist)
