    Hi Margaret, I know they have to go but my goodness I hate seeing trees being cut down, it hurts my heart. Glad that at least you have a space to build your new home, crossing fingers that it now moves more quickly.🙏😻❤️

    I could watch the pros do that all day! Like you, I find it fascinating to see the process and how they can accurately fell all the branches/trees in the right direction in a neighbourhood! It will be much better for the roof shingles to not have so much moss/mold growing on them because of the deep shade. I've seen youtube video's where they spray the WET & FORGET ABOUT IT on large areas of a roof and it worked very well on the shingles to kill all the moss spores. I love trees but that needed to be done and opens the whole area to more light, air flow and needed space. Happy that progress is being made! ~~M~~

    I understand the need to remove trees having had to do it several times, but I never felt joyful about it and actually almost cried. Gone are lungs of the earth and home to numerous creatures never to be replaced for 80 years. Also, see if your windows open from the top giving more security for the little one and the cats.

    Tree felling is an art form. Takes precision and a lot of forethought.
    Well done.
    The tree I'd love to say bye to is really close to the house. I need to eliiiiiiminate the problem before it becomes a problem.

    I think this is a great video. Your editing was good. Too bad the trees were planted in the wrong place originally but that happened a lot. We certainly don’t want to cut down trees, but when they become that large because the wrong kind of tree was planted years ago, they are a danger to your home.

      @@MargaretbeingMargaret also those trees are real hazard to your roof, not only from branches falling, but no sunlight getting to the roof, causing algae and mold to grow. It’s fascinating to watch them take the trees down. It’s truly an art form.

    Wow that's a incredible difference. Cutting down trees is an art form in my opinion. When we had a few trimmed n one cut down said they don't grind the stumps down.... almost as expensive as the cutting of trees in our area.

    I know that you needed it to come down. We had to have a catalpa tree removed and I hate to see trees removed, even when they have to be. They are so beautiful and take so many years to grow. We had an Autumn Blaze Maple planted and probably won't be here to see it get big.

    Wow! Cutting the trees really opened up the sky. You'll have lots more sun now AND, the most important part, room to build. Can't wait to see the next step. With any luck at all, maybe you'll be in your new home before winter. Fingers crossed! BTW, all day yesterday I listened to chain saws up until 10pm last night. Someone on the street behind me is taking down a tree or maybe more than one. I can't tell from here but I definitely hear them. They started the saw back up again at 8:30 this morning. As long as they don't dump the brush in my yard like the next-door neighbor did a couple weeks ago, we're good. It's only 66 degrees right now with clear skies. Perfect for outdoor work. Supposed to reach 80 later on. I'm lovin' these warm summer days. I wish we could have summer year-round. Enjoy your weekend, Margaret and see you next time!

      I’m so envious of your weather! Yesterday was 96 and today will be about the same with lots of humidity. 🥵 Evidently the one neighbor was raised in a barn as the saying goes. 😖

    • @gardenalways
      @gardenalways 3 месяца назад +1

      @@BobbieJeanM Evidently! LOL I've had trouble with that neighbor since I moved in. He thinks he can drive me out of here and it ain't happening. A visit from a police officer and threat of a hefty fine for illegal dumping took care of the problem. The neighbor cleaned up his mess. Here in Ohio it rarely goes above the mid 90s. But our humidity is usually high. Winter is bone-chilling cold most years. The older I get the more I hate the cold and snow.

    Are they going to grind the stumps? If not, they’ll start sprouting in no time. I had five stumps ground, it’s not cheap, and I had them leave two because I was being cheap and they cut big slits into the top of them with the chainsaw and poured on, I don’t know if it was rock or Epson salts, but they haven’t sprouted. It’s fascinating to watch them take down trees. I had some redwoods removed that were about 60 feet tall and they just scrambled up there like it was nothing with the chainsaw dangling off their belt. It was amazing. I don’t know how high you have to be before they switch to that bucket thing, those big chunks came down, slamming to the ground on my patio. I thought it was going crack it, but it didn’t.
