Must have been his first tree, of the day. 😂 after 35 years, almost nothing better than watching someone else. No clean up. Good job sir, may the good Lord be with you always.
Balls of steel. I used to be good with heights in my youth working on high rise until I fell from the 6th floor to the 4th floor through scaffolding while cutting off starter bars on the outside of the building. I managed to get my arm hooked over a crossmember, bruised from the hip to the arm pit. This was over 40 years ago now when harnesses weren't a thing on site. I was fine straight after the fall but when the gravity of the situation sank in 10 minutes later, I began to shake uncontrollably. Never been good with heights since. Greatest respect. I was stressing out just watching the video. Shows how good it was.
First I wanna thank you for bringing back some very pleasant memories and I am 87 now I started climbing in 1954 you use many of the same techniques are used but we didn’t have a nylon straps and carabiners and pulleys we did it With ropes Manila ropes It was good to see someone has Skilled is you Did a great job. I love your video. Thanks again be safe.
Just cut down a 50 ft magnolia yesterday that was leaning into my neighbors yard. The fence was replaced on Monday and had been working on it for several days tying off ropes to come-a-longs and a steel cable to keep it from going back the other way. Used my 28 ft ladder to limb it back on their side and my notch wasn't real good so had to chip and clean up the wedge. Have cut over 100 trees in my days, mostly southern pines but other than using a ladder to tie it off (2 ropes) have never climbed like you did these pines. Great work and amazing footage showing you work. Thanks for posting this vid...BTW I'm 67 years old...
The ground crew directly under the fall area with deep cuts in the pieces of stems is an accident waiting to happen. They are not looking up and have no way to react if one goes early or unexpectedly. I understand they're being efficient but no amount of time saved is worth a life.
My grandson is starting Lineman School in 3 wks. I had him watch your video so he could get an idea of climbing a pole. We both were impressed. Educational and interesting to watch. Give us more. l
I spent a few years working for an arborist. After watching so many of these fail videos of people dropping trees on the customers house, its nice to see a professional at work!
I work for the power company and I’ve seen a lot of bad tree trimmers in the trade. You my friend look top notch!! That was impressive to watch and kudos to you and the crew. You guys are definitely someone I would recommend to people!! Well done!
This guy is incredibly skilled. All those knots he has to tie, sometimes one handed, without any mistakes 😮. WOW! It's bad enough staying on one tree, but moving to the other tree, at that height? Incredible...
I knew someone who does this kind of work; he is the owner of the company. It’s probably because, once a worker gets so good, he probably goes on his own but perhaps on a less challenging tasks. This job was skillfully done by a daring man. Then again, you would not dare if you don’t have the skills. I guess, can’t have one without the other.
My hands and feet are totally sweating just watching this video. It’s like the Amazon canopy! I say this after having two trees removed from my yard and multiple trees limbed up, all from a cherry picker basket. Big respect for this talent..
I spent 35 years as a tree surgeon from massive 300 year old oaks to 130ft Eucalyptus in crazy weather and I loved every minute of it this was way before all the cool light weight tools and no cameras
ran across this and brought back memories, I've cut and been in many trees, i had a rotten and done it the same way over and over. never fell out of a tree doing it that way or knockout. something funny, i never dreamed of being in trees, do you? be safe bro.
This has to be the best video in this category I have watched, I have watched a very great many of them. He was so high and weaving around I got dizzy. If you look at the 19 minute mark where he is a close up of an after cut you can see how rotten the tree is. I spend a lot of time in the forest and see these ( we call punky trees not good got fire wood) come down in the wind and the wind does not have to be that strong. If I was forced to go up there I would have to be wearing depends. hats off to the master!!!You might want to have your ground guy pre start the saw when you switch, better him playing on the ground than you 100 feet up
Occasionally RUclips algorithms will suggest something to watch I had no idea I wanted to. This was one of those times. Fascinating and skillful exhibition of your craft and I trust you are being suitably commensurated for it. I learned something new today, and for that I am grateful. Thanks! 👍 🌲
One of the things you never got the chance to do in life and if you did you would say no. Got to see it in action though! Fantastic! Thank You Very Much!
This guy does what a combination of engineers, physicists or doctors can't do, no matter how well trained or educated they may be! Did I mention astronomers reaching for the stars as well? FANTASTIC!!!!!
Definitely up there for a RUclips Award. Safety, Resourceful, Knowledgeable in Equipment and Constant Awareness. I seriously thought you ran out of fuel at one point.
Great job man!! I do the ground job, it’s awesome seeing what it looks like from the climbers perspective!!! My cousin is a climber, and, he and I make up the crew.
@@lestonthompson8495 We’ve never really needed to, they either stay inside, or, leave. Sometimes they watch from a safe distance. My boss lets them know from the outset, that, they are not to be getting in the way, as it could be very dangerous, not only for them, but, for us also.
Amazing skills and talent. My man was killed doing this type work with his own company. No matter how good you are, safety is the utmost important thing. KUDOS TO THIS GUY!
Oh my gosh, I was climbing up with you, about 10” and I started holding my breath. Im terrified of heights. Like I get lightheaded after 3steps! You’re a master. Much respect, I’m going to tell my friends to watch this. Be careful
Beau travail. Le bûcheron connaît son métier. Il prends toutes les précautions, assure chacun de ses déplacements, surveille étroitement les abords et manipule sa tronçonneuse an toute sécurité. Du grand art.
Working on a tree crew for the past two years I’ve always been up in a lift and yet have to climb a tree like this. Let alone swing from one tree to another, That Was COOL! I’d love to learn this skill
That is awesome! We had a crew come and take down a 105ft Doug Fir. They got down towards the base, and it was riddled with Carpenter Ants! Absolutely amazing.

Could watch these guys all day long doing their stuff. These are some tough, hombres, balancing their footings on spikes and a hoop ring holding them upright and against the tree and not a whimper to be heard as he went about his task. Only the best can do this type of work, especially when they’re staring at death in the face. I hope you, guys, are getting paid handsomely for your risky type of work.
Hey man, I get what you're saying but there are many woman who do this job. Me included. I've been climbing for a few years now, so I'm definitely not as smooth as this guy, but I definitely would 100% do this. Anyways, I don't want to come of as nasty, just wanted to say we are out here 🤠🍻🍻🇦🇺🇦🇺
Great ground crew as well! Give that man on the rope a raise!! I worked both ground and climbed. Excellent job! I worked Cobb Co., Cherokee Co. DeKalb Co. actually all over Atlanta. I tried to stay out of Roswell! LOL
I'm 63 and I've watched tree trimmers before, but I never really watched them! both entertaining and educational, thanks for posting...
We just moved with property with lots of massive dead trees. I love these videos. Been meeting every kind of logger and tree removal out there.
👍 outstanding work. My hands are sweaty just watching these high maneuvers.

He does all of this without carrying on a running commentary. His work speaks for him!
Totally wouldn't have my mind on commentary for some video when focusing on my work means death-or-life.
I’m from the UK scared to death of heights sitting at my table watching this my fists clenched with white knuckles , wow respect to you mate
