I have thought about this music program for years without looking it up. I used to listen to it on the radio after I discovered it while living out of my truck in the forest. I cherished the music then because of where I was in my head. It really lets your mind wander, you know. Nice that somebody put this out. This is the first time I've heard HOS in many years.
omg it starts off with cellist David Darling. memories of a road trip to new orleans in the early 90's, driving on a starlit night through the bayous and bridges on hwy 90 while HOS played "minor blue" on a local public radio station. it blew me away.
Stephen Hill and Anna Turner were very big factors in helping me keep my head on straight in the 80's. I was in a bad way, and HOS soothed my troubled mind.
I have about 600 tapes since 1984 and most still play ok, trouble is finding cassette players, usually from Goodwill or Salvation Army. I always fall asleep with one playing; and if perchance I have a ceremonial funeral, I would love to have Program #68 - "Liquid DREAMS" PLAYYING THROUGHOUT THE SERVICE....
@@bOmBAsTiK I have probably qt least a thousand tapes of the show, and would not know how to digitize them. If you lived nearby I would be happy to share them. I am a young 78 years old and have o heirs that would appreciate my music choice... I live in South Carolina.
Yes. It is a "sound Signature of authenticity," unlike none other. In the '80's, i listened to "Musical Star-Streams," and one Frank Forest would narrate that show. I still have the tapes and CD's of this music; irreplaceable!
Good morning ya'll. I am searching for a Hearts of Space done back in 1995? It had birds in it...and loons with piano and thunder in the back ground. It had frogs etc. Does anyone have a clue what album or series it is? Help...I am looking and continuing my search. Thank you!
hello friend, look up an artist named Dan Gibson. he is a nature sound documentarian and has a huge series of albums called "Solitudes" with different themes. the guy's like the Audubon of field recordings and he does have some material with loons in. probably from the 90's.
Program 382 Silent Lake? For thunder- 330 Spirit of the Land, or Haunted by Spirits? One of those had a sequence of piano/ thunder, and wailing, followed by another sequence with crickets/frogs.

Excellent in mute to taste good Chinese dishes in a comfortable and deliciously decorated restaurant! To listen in moderation of course, and respecting the usage distanciations🔥
I turn on Hearts of Space for a relaxing Zen as I go to sleep at night and you play commercials every 5 minutes making it totally worthless there's another post with 2 hours straight with no commercials get with it

this brings back good memories, back in the 90's, late night, on the deck of my cabin under the stars, listening to HOS.
Great music of the mind from HOS. The program following it on Sunday night was even better, After Space.
Listened to this so much in high school. Thanks, friend.

Used to listen during trips in the 70s...people need to stretch out and relax somehow.
You are so right...do what is right according to the Rotary....good American group from what I understand.
Must have Stephen Hill intro or it just doesn’t work

I understand but still beats a lot of what I hear now.
AND Anna Turner! (RIP)
This is great 😃 to listen to while doing mushrooms...
We used to listen to HOS on public radio in the 80s and 90s. Magical cool influence then.
Awesome music
You are worthy of respect and acceptance.
Thanks for uploading! I used to listen to so much of this in the 90’s when I was living in Lawrence. Got any Nocturnal Transmission shows?
No, I don't. I can't remember which night it aired, but if it aired late Sunday night, I probably didn't listen to it that much.
It was sunday. 9 or 10 until 1am. Great show!
Hey Joe
Ray is on fb and does post music sometimes. I also think he's on sound cloud.
Space, either half of the really Silver Wave trip is of this !
