of course... I ve been diving into shape singing all summer and there he is.. BPB to wrap it all up in a great song. I feel like I recognize some of these singers from other youtube video on Shape singing.
Where at? Im in lexington. I got to see will and get a picture with him in Louisville at Lightning Bolt last March. 2018. I went to this house show in 2005 in Louisville of Micah Blue Smaldone and me and my friends were on a couch and Will was on the floor in front of me and is in my pictures!!! Crazy
@@iangoodisDMX I'm in Louisville, man. Thanks for replying! That's awesome! I haven't met him yet or been to any of his shows. I had no idea he was at that show. I didn't know that he still lived here. I love Lightning Bolt, super excited for their new album. That's crazy. I hope I get to meet him someday since I'm a big fan of his work. @@iangoodisDMX Nice. I was able to grab a copy of the new reissue of "Wonderful Rainbow". I'll have the new album a listen soon. Definitely one of the records to come out of this year I'm most excited to hear. Is it a continuation of the sounds on "Fantasy Empire" or more like their older work?

Just thinking about attending a live Sacred Harp "Shape Note" sing-a-long session makes me smile. And to think: If not for Harry Smith's _Anthology of American Folk Music_ CD Box-Set re-issue 20 odd years ago (on Smithsonian Folkways) I may have never gotten to experience the real deal (first @ Crump Park, VA a decade ago). Sacred Harp Shape Note singing is so otherworldly. Check out your local non-secular entertainment listings to see (& hopefully _hear_ ) shape note singing live. While vintage recordings are good; really best to experience live in person "in the square." And afterwards the homemade communal potluck dinner / meal where everyone brings a dish is scrumptious & not to be missed. Everyone's welcome! Imagine that. Religion bringing different sects of folks' together instead of separating & keepin' 'em apart & at odds with one another. Anyway, thanks for all. Keep on keepin' on, turning folks onto the good stuff. _Peace&JahBless_

sheesh this is great and must've heard it and figured it was on the new album so I bought the new Bonnie Prince Billie album.....and guess what? NOT ON THE ALBUM...;( still a great album though but wish he could have added this song as well as the 'back of the pit'. It's not as though the album was too long to include these other two great songs.
why were this song and "at the back of the pit" not released on the full length album? both songs were advertised and promoted as being on the album...
There are digital downloads of both on Bonnie Prince Billy''s Bandcamp page and on the Drag City website. I can't find a physical release for them though.
So our intrepid film-maker traveled the length and breadth of this great nation, and couldn't find a non-caucasian anywhere? Sorry, but these days that's not acceptable. A shame, as it's a lovely song and Will's a massive talent.
Though I’m willing to admit I over reacted a little. But it’s a music video, not a documentary and it might serve the spirit of the song/performance better if greater inclusivity had been attempted. Especially in the current rancid mean-spirited climate we have the misfortune to be living thru.
I’m having this played at my mother’s funeral later this week
My condolences. It sure is a lovely song.
