You are an amazing woman. I never fall asleep while you are talking. But, I always go to sleep feeling at peace. The body wears out; not the spirit. Thank you so much for putting together all these videos. It means so much to so many people. We ❤ you!
Granny Pat. Today I just accidentally came by your RUclips. What a delight you are! I'm binge watching your channel right now. I've had so much fun listening to your stories. You remind me of my Mama. I love you Granny Pat and Jan. Love Linda from Oklahoma City Oklahoma!
Hello again Granny Pat, I feel like you present a wonderful opportunity for anyone who misses just sitting around the table chatting, visiting while stirring coffee or tea cups. We'd admire and pick up each glass, see how it catches the sunlight? I really enjoy you showing us all the different styles and nuances each piece brings. My mother knew the value and beauty of her treasured glassware. I believe any beverage just tasted 'better' when drinking out of them! I have always been a nightowl & so enjoy listening to your voice at the end of a day, kind of like a special moment to share across the miles...be well.
Love your beautiful Fostoria! What a great find! I dont have any yet...but I'll be so excited to find my 1st piece! Really enjoyed this show! I'll be sure to let you know when i find some! Have a beautiful weekend Granny Pat! See ya soon!❤❤❤
I adore your Fostoria dishware. I love the clear dishware the best. I love how the sparkle comes from the beautiful cut glass pattern. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely collection and history of each piece. Love from Ky.

Excellent Fostoria lesson!! So, could you have someone build some shelves on the walls to the side of the table where you were sitting to display the beautiful collection? Oh, your collection needs to be shown to your fans all the time. I only know the days of week from my handy dandy pill case every morning. 😅 ❤ you GP.
I love your spirit and personality, Granny Pat! Your Fostoria haul is amazing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about the different pieces. Your Christmas table must be stunning!
This was so interesting Granny Pat. I love your collection of Fostoria! Thank you for describing each piece in the collection. I think that cream and sugar on the tray is so pretty. Perfect for a tea party.
Hi granny pat, what a beautiful collection. You have lovely trinkets it would be lovely for you to have somewhere where you could display all your stuff fascinating, thank you for sharing. I love your videos it’s like calling to see a very dear special friend.I could listen to you all day. Love Marilynxx❤️
Your fostoria collection is absolutely lovely!! I wish you could display it in a cabinet so you could see it everyday because it brings you so much pleasure. It’s a thrill to see you enjoying life and enjoying your collection❤
Loved it! And I wholeheartedly agree with you that the Fostoria's design makes you want to drink from it. Looking forward to seeing more of these collections. Thank you all of your effort and time to produce this video.
Actually I try to fall asleep listening to you but I keep wanting to see what treasures you are showing us and end up staying awake through your whole video!
Hi Pat..Im so happy you are showing dishes.I don't know why but when I was a kid I loved tiny tea sets.I have a big set of Royal Albert Roses from 1962.❤❤❤
That's a ton of Fostoria. I cant imagine having so many different glasses. I suppose back in the day, ladies had complete sets of every piece. I should have looked closer at the collection of Fostoria America yesterday while at the antique mall here. There were probably dinner plates. 😊❤
I’m so happy for you to be able to find such a great Fostoria haul. Beautiful glassware!! Hang in there with the aging issue. Your videos and upbeat attitude are inspirational. I would love to think that I’ll still be shopping for “trinket” hauls when I’m in my 80’s. ❤️
Hurray! Another video by my favorite lady, Granny Pat! First, what a wonderful haul you got at the 68 Yard Sale, wow! You sure have a fun, gorgeous hobby collecting all your "trinkets" to play with. I have the same hobby as you and I'm 55yo. Been collecting since my 20s. We're remodeling this house we bought last September. It's not done yet, but when it is, I'm going to my two storage units to finally bring all my pretty things home. We're going to build a big cabinet along one of our walls so I can put my things in there and my husband is going to install some little lights to shine on all my things. You said you didn't know what day it was on Wednesday, but here's the thing, I do the same thing because I am a stay-at-home-wife and all my 5 kids are grown and gone. I lose track of the days, too, and I've just turned 55 last month. In my opinion, you're doing AMAZING! Your wit is so much fun, you're smart as a whip, and your mind is so sharp. I love your stories. I love listening to your life experiences. You keep me company each day as I listening to you on full-volume so I can putter around my house and not be lonely while I'm listening to you. I'm grateful for you and that you share yourself with all of out here in the world. You are such a blessing! I hope you feel the love from all of us! (((Big Hugs))) ~Kricket
Oh, how I envy you. Get that house completed, give it the homey look, and display your collections. Don’t let anyone discourage you. When it is finished, I want to see!
Yes!!! We would love for you to make a video every night! I’m so used to seeing you daily, it’s so weird to go a night without seeing Pat! Love that Fostoria! The collection is so glorious! It looks so regal! Great explanation of the different pieces! Thanks for the video! You look great and we ALL love our night night stories! ❤️
I may have made mistakes in identifications, but don’t expect me to always be right! I don’t mind being corrected, but it hurts to be criticized. We do the best we can!
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 That’s so true! Well, I enjoyed all your explanations on which was which even if it could have been mistakenly represented! 😃 I’m totally looking forward to seeing all your stuff! So much fun! 😃
Thank you Granny Pat. I bought some Fostoria today and you helped me identify it. I am from Tennessee and my great grandmother had this glassware. I am trying to collect it for myself now.
I do the same thing Pat.I cross off days on my kitchen calender .When my husband was teaching I was on his schedule but since retirement I cross the days off.❤
Your Fostoria is so beautiful and sparkly! That butter dish is amazing. It would be pretty with a flameless candle or some fairy lights too. Those tall candle holders would be perfect for Christmas! I think the candy dish is my favorite.
Love you Granny Pat❤ i love the Fostoria and thanks for teaching me so much about the difference between Whitehall and Fostoria. What a haul you had at that yardsale😊
Granny Pat 😊 good morning from Oklahoma! Thank you so very much for sharing your time and stories on RUclips; I look forward to each new video! Watching you, brings back memories of sitting on my grandma's front porch, listening and asking questions as she and her neighbor talked about their lives, and their neighbors' lives, and laughed and laughed! I hope you get more porch time too, soon. Your Fostoria haul is beautiful! You looked like a child on Christmas morning, as you walked around that table at the yard sale. By the way, while watching one of your earlier Fostoria videos, RUclips suggested a vintage promotional film produced by Fostoria, entitled, "Crystal Clear, Fostoria Glass Company, 1946." It was very enjoyable, and informative. If you have not seen it already, it's the first video that comes up when searching that title; I think you will enjoy it too. See you in your next video, have a wonderful day! -Jo
Another one of your videos that convinced me to start collecting! First the tomato pattern now fostoria American! Just ordered two square footed vases. Love the videos granny ❤
Granny Pat I think you will have to go to a flea market and pick up a piece of furniture for your fostoria. You always hold my attention. I learn so much from your vidios. Thank you.
I'm a South Carolina girl born in Horry county around 1st grade my parents moved to Columbia looking for good jobs but every summer I was in Conway main street house no longer there and Myrtle beach Aynor,Loris
You made a great haul on your Fostoria buy. I watched that video when you made the purchase, great pieces. I have a piece my aunt gifted me years ago. Large heavy Spooner dish. SHe kept her spoons and forks in hers on her florida room table. Never seen one by Fostoria before.
What a beautiful haul! Just this past weekend I purchased two boxes of Fostoria American at an estate sale - I'm not completely sure what I ended up with though. The lady running the sale just kept gathering glassware and putting it into the boxes. I do know that I ended up with eight dinner plates. And thank you for doing the side-by-side comparison of the iced tea glasses!
Your Fostoria American is beautiful. Thanks for showing it. You need to invest in a book on Fostoria to tell you what everything is. I am by no means an expert, but I do know a few things. That trifle bowl is Whitehall. The small covered jar is a Jeanette Cubist powder jar. Not Fostoria. The small footed glass you have is the bottom to the American mustard jar. It came with a small lid with a cutout place for the glass spoon it also came with. The large sugar bowl did have a lid. I have one that I keep Splenda in. A book really shows you the vast array of Fostoria American. Well worth the price. We both have the same problem--too much glassware and not enough house!
Your collection is beautiful! My Grandmother had a huge collection of crystal glasses, dishes, mayo/mustard dish, candle holders, relish dishes, silverware holders, butter dishes, punch bowl and cups, ladles, and so much more. Then my other Grandmother had a HUGE collection of Fiesta Ware. I’ve been disabled since I was 44, I’m 58 now. I am always trying to remember what day it is….I’m gonna go watch more of your videos. This was the 2nd of yours I watched.
@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Good morning Pat, I forgot to put "@robingoff677" in front of my comment. She was telling about her grandmothers' things. I heard some other people talking about how much they love you, Granny Pat, so I came over and subbed. It is very nice to meet you and I see why everyone loves you!
Ooh, that would be nice. Part of your channel could be reading some sort of book once or twice a week. Just an idea. Love your collections! I am at a loss for decorating my house. It’s kind of a weird shape. Not my forte. You are such a sweetheart Pat! Just keep being you kiddo. Take care. Oh…hi to your sister! 😊
The dishes are gorgeous and there is such variety! I will be glad to have some punch in a lovely cup like that. So put my name on the list! 😄 Big hugs. 🤗 From Michigan.
My friend has the WH set with pitcher in pink. We drank lemonade and had chicken salad for lunch on her porch. It was so delightful. The pink set was beautiful.
Love all your new pieces of Fostoria congratulations on your find.!! Looks like you have a huge Fiesta Wear collection too. And your white pitchers look beautiful too. Fun video. !!
I really love your Fostoria collection!!!!!!! If, and I say ‘BIG IF’ I was to start adding to my very small Fostoria American collection again, I would definitely limit my collecting to the serving pieces. I think I have about a dozen or so serving pieces that belonged to my mother and grandmother. As I’ve said before in another comment, I am just not a fan of the Fostoria glasses because there are just so many of them and the two different bases and all the different stem heights always bugged me to death-I had some of both bases-the hexagon and round; and I too, never understood why they made two shapes-and why so many different stem variations. I know it’s probably just me, but nobody I know serves meals anymore that require so many variations-jus sayin!!!!!!! The glasses-really all the pieces- are just so heavy, and storage has always been such a nightmare for me. I definitely think the serving pieces are the most beautiful pieces; so several years ago, I donated all my glasses to Goodwill. If I were to ever build another house, which is not going to happen, I would definitely design a separate wing of storage rooms-one room for glasses and stemware, one room for china, one room for serving pieces, and several other rooms for various other collections I have been accumulating all my life. Yes indeed, most definitely, this would be my dream situation for all my collections. Another issue I have always had with the Fostoria glasses is that they are just too heavy for the delicacy of most of my china. I think heavy ironstone accommodates Fostoria glasses perfectly but I prefer other glasses with my heavy ironstone. My husband rarely criticizes or complains, but he does not enjoy drinking from heavy glasses, so he always complained when I used the Fostoria glasses to set a table. I definitely would still be adding to my Fostoria glass collection but for his dislike of them. You have such a lovely and vast collection of not only Fostoria, but so many other beautiful items…!!!!! I know you will continue to find more Fostoria treasures to add to your collection-and you do have such great access to places to shop for them in your area. PLEASE understand, I am not criticizing you one bit-just sharing my own experience with Fostoria…💝
I love your collection! I was impressed, as a glass dealer, that you even had the plate for the mayonnaise bowl. There should be a spoon that goes with it too. That's something you can be on the hunt for. Thank you for sharing your collection and knowledge! If I may correct you on one thing - the candle holder you called a hair receiver is indeed a candle holder. Fostoria's American hair receiver is smaller and square. As far as I know, Fostoria didn't make the round candle holders. It's either by Homco (which is marked on the bottom) or Imperial (with no mark on the bottom). It does match your collection perfectly though!
It is good to be told this. Now that I know, I won’t make that mistake again. I thought it a very strange type of hair receiver. My mother had a beautiful hair receiver - I didn’t get it!
Hi Pat I am 71 years old so you are not old enough to be my granny, lol, maybe my mama if you are at least 89. Anyway I am a new subscriber and I just discovered you. You are such a sweet person, I will be watching your videos now. God bless you!
Hello Granny how beautiful of style of glass to learn from you because i my self never heard of this brand. Thank you for sharing, you have so much of beautiful items you carry. Just love it! 😂 Hope you are doing well. Love from Phoenix Arizona ❤️
@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Hi how nice 😊 hopefully you both stay in contact. You lovely kitchen ware, just adorable. I like your style. You so much beautiful things. Thank you for sharing. Take care and have a good evening 🙏 😊
There must be somewhere where you could get a cabinet and display all the pretty stuff. I hate to see them put in plastic bins you’re so pretty, but you will figure it out.
In 1969 (when I married) brides registered for Formal & Casual china & crystal patterns at Dept. Stores. My formal china & crystal patterns were Lenox & Waterford. Later all of my Waterford was stolen! My casual china & crystal patterns were Metlox/Poppytrail & Imperial. (both in olive green) My everyday china was what you bought in sets & beverage was bought at Kmart & Walmart. Like Whitehall (olive green, amber & clear) & Wexford (clear). In sets of 4 as well as serving pieces sold individually. Your Fostoria pattern had to be registered for. (It came in many colors like olive green, blue, amber & clear.) Your Whitehall could be bought at Kmart & Walmart. In many colors & came in packages of 4 and serving pieces sold individually. That being said...like my Imperial, your Fostoria went through changes through the years....therefore there were changes in shapes & sizes resulting in you having such a variety!😢 My Imperial (olive green) originally had tall thin ice teas and changed to shorter squatter sizes to accommodate the dish washers. Therefore I had to redo my ice teas later on. 😠 Later all of my Imperial was stolen! Confusing huh?🙄 My point to all of this is to say why you have such a variety. 😊 🎉
Granny Pat, I’ve always loved dishes, because my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother did too. They are all gone now, and I’m enjoying learning from you! Which is more sought after? The Fostoria or the Whitehall? The Whitehall appears prettier in the video, but perhaps it just cleaner and washed up whereas perhaps your new find from 68 garage sale may not be…..
Definitely go fo the Fostoria American. WH is more like a copycat, isn’t the same quality and doesn’t have quality and smooth shine like FA. Search GW and yard sales. And estate sales .
Very interesting and informative, because previously, I knew nothing of this kind of glassware l. But when you mentioned the 'hair receiver,' with no further explanation, I felt like you should tell your viewers what those actually were. I only know cuz I'm old, have read 19th century novels, and grew up in New England ( where women wove their hair into works of art while waiting for their seafaring husbands to come home from whaling expeditions)...
Sometimes I overlook and fail to tell these things. You just did a good job of explaining the purpose of the hair receivers. I was told the ones I showed are not hair receivers.
I absolutely LOVE ❤️ those gorgeous vintage crystal pieces of Fostoria, Pat. They are truly collector pieces! Beautiful!! 👍😁❤️
Beautiful collection! Thanks for sharing, plus the education on how to spot Fostoria and how to tell the difference from Whitehall.

Sorry this was for the other video I just watched. As I was typing this one started. 🤦🏻♀️
🌺Live the education. 👍🏼
The dishes are gorgeous and there is such variety! I will be glad to have some punch in a lovely cup like that. So put my name on the list! 😄 Big hugs. 🤗
From Michigan.
You bet!
Such a gorgeous collection! ❤
Thats a beautiful set
I love that candy dish and the candle holders❤❤❤
Very interesting! I have several Whitehall glasses.
Fun video. !!
I. Love your collections! Tk u sydney australiia 🇦🇺🇦🇺💜❤️
Enjoy Granny Pat...
So pretty I love the truffle bowl😊
Beautiful Fostoria
Granny Pat I love the butter dish💖
I hope someone helped you carry it all to your home. It looks heavy. It's beautiful, very fancy. My favorites are the pieces with lids.
Lovely stuff...🎉❤😮
I think every corner should have an ice cream shop its happy food😊
Just found you and I just love you. ❤😊
Hi Pat I am 71 years old so you are not old enough to be my granny, lol, maybe my mama if you are at least 89. Anyway I am a new subscriber and I just discovered you. You are such a sweet person, I will be watching your videos now. God bless you!
Maybe you could call me Aunt Pat. I have nieces and nephews older than you are.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 okay Aunty it is. Have a wonderful night!
Me too I love her videos
Hello Granny how beautiful of style of glass to learn from you because i my self never heard of this brand. Thank you for sharing, you have so much of beautiful items you carry. Just love it! 😂
Hope you are doing well. Love from Phoenix Arizona ❤️
I have a cousin in Phoenix. He called when he learned about my channel.

I love you, Granny Pat
Maybe you could use the small one he gave to you for tooth picks or sugar cubes
There must be somewhere where you could get a cabinet and display all the pretty stuff. I hate to see them put in plastic bins you’re so pretty, but you will figure it out.
In 1969 (when I married) brides registered for Formal & Casual china & crystal patterns at Dept. Stores.
My formal china & crystal patterns were Lenox & Waterford. Later all of my Waterford was stolen!
My casual china & crystal patterns were Metlox/Poppytrail & Imperial.
(both in olive green)
My everyday china was what you bought in sets & beverage was bought at Kmart & Walmart. Like Whitehall (olive green, amber & clear) & Wexford (clear). In sets of 4 as well as serving pieces sold individually.
Your Fostoria pattern had to be registered for. (It came in many colors like olive green, blue, amber & clear.)
Your Whitehall could be bought at Kmart & Walmart. In many colors & came in packages of 4 and serving pieces sold individually.
That being said...like my Imperial, your Fostoria went through changes through the years....therefore there were changes in shapes & sizes resulting in you having such a variety!😢
My Imperial (olive green) originally had tall thin ice teas and changed to shorter squatter sizes to accommodate the dish washers. Therefore I had to redo my ice teas later on. 😠 Later all of my Imperial was stolen!
Confusing huh?🙄
My point to all of this is to say why you have such a variety. 😊 🎉
Thanks for that information. As the say, it’s food for thought. I will remember!
How was your Waterford stolen ? That's terrible.
Well look at you, up late!! Of course you are!!! Ok time to watch! 😁
Love it!
Those are gorgeous darling ❤😊
My family has yellow Fostoria that is very delicate. Not thick
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 that's ok. I love listening to everything you have to say 😘
Watching in Columbia South Carolina like, share, and subscribe I love all of her content she's amazing frfr
Thank you so much for this beautiful presentation. Is the Fostoria more valuable than the Whitehall?
Whitehall is more like a copycat. Always choose Fostoria. Glistens brighter than Whitehall.
It's all so pretty!!
Do I see some fiesta back there?
Yes she got some as a wedding gift married in the year I was born 1954 and she's added
I just saw a Fostoria pedestal cake plate for $50. It has the concave center. Is that a good price?
I can’t say what is a good price. It depends on what you are willing to pay. I consider anything below $40.
There are more than one size of wine glasses
Granny Pat, are there markings on the bottom of Fostoria American pieces?
I have never seen any. Some pieces may be marked. I will look it up in my new Fostoria book.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 i picked up a candy dish today at a local vendor booth. The lady said it was fostoria and it’s beautiful.
@@macepolk5281 google Fostoria American. Look through their pages. You should find pictures of your pieces.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 thank you, I will
3rd one I think is wine
It seems too large for wine. I make mistakes, but I am not collecting for investment purposes. I buy what I like and at the right price for me.
Hello sunshine I love you tell us a story
Happy thursday! Im looking forward to this!
