Dear lady you are such a treasure and lovely story teller! I just found you as you popped up on my feed for you tube 2 days ago. I just helped my mother in law go home last October to her dear Lord. She was 102 the day before she died last year. She lived with my husband and I for 40 years and helped raise our children. She had so many children and grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her so much! Worked in her garden every day year round and kept chickens here. So many beautiful stories of her life were captured by her writings and in the memories of her tribe. You are such a blessing to give us these treasures ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Also you remind me so much of my own grandma and I’m a grandma myself but you never forget those precious memories!
Welcome Kathy, we seem to be a lovely, friendly, fast growing group, clustered around such an interesting lady. It’s at times funny, or heart touching, instructive, even historical, but always sweet. I just love it here.
Thank you for sharing stories about your father, Granny Pat. Sweet memories. My husband’s mother died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 52. I never got to meet her. She found out she had it in September and died in January. What an awful disease. Your dad sounded like an interesting man!

My dear Granny Pat, Eight weeks ago I lost my beloved father. I am feeling your words very deeply as I hear of yours. I guess we have this in common: we had loving dads who did what they could to raise us well. Thank you for sharing these memories on this, my first Father’s Day without mine. Much love.
I loved this story! Beautiful! Your dad sure was a hard worker. I felt sorry he had to give up that convertible. It seemed like he worked so hard all his life and wanted to buy something for himself and then having to give it up was so sad! I’m so happy he approved of your choice of a home later in life. Such a beautiful moment you shared us. ❤ Looking forward to your next video! You look great! 🤗
I could listen to you all day long. You were so blessed to have your Dad for so long. It sounds like he was a wonderful father. My Dad passed away when I was only 15 years old. He died from cancer on June 16th 1970. It was on Father's Day. It was a very sad day for us. Love you Granny Pat.❤
Oh GP...Your Daddy was a fascinating man and it's no wonder you loved him so much. He embodied everything a father should be. Your story parallels my Mother's story about her "Daddy" in so many ways. You made me laugh at the "fuss and cuss" skirt scenario. Congratulations....you are already up to 11K followers. WTG GP!! ❤
Granny Pat, I loved hearing about your Daddy. Your memories are amazing and so interesting. I cannot imagine being one of eleven children. What wonderful work ethics he had along with his Godly principles. I could listen all night Pat.❤️🙏carson
Granny Pat, this was the most heartfelt story I’ve ever heard. Your Dad sounds like a wonderful Christian man and father ❤ I love your stories they lift me up even though some are about struggles. Surely we all have struggles in our lives. You always tell us that faith in God will get us through. God Bless you Granny Pat 🙏🙏👏🏻👏🏻💖💖
My dad could not stay with his step mother, Nancy. She had two brothers, she moved into their home. I was never told what happened to her after that. Her name was never mentioned again.
Granny Pat, you are the best storyteller ever. I can sit and listen to you for hours. I get the whole picture in my mind the way you describe things in your stories.Thank you for telling us about your dad. You are such a wonderful person, thank you😍
Pat, you rank at the very top in storytelling! I’m still in tears after this wonderful story! You certainly had a great Dad! Both you and I were blessed with the best! I’m very thankful that I found your videos. They are amazing! ❤
Thank you for your story's for father day how sweet you are and wonderful lady there were the times of the true story's thank you pat for your time of story time 😊❤
I love your stories Grandma Pat. My dad passed away from Alzheimers nearly 3 years ago & mum, who was coming up for 80, looked after him. It was dreadful seeing him literally forget everything, who he was, who we were etc. He used to make me toys back in the 70's when I was a kid, & gave me the job I have now, & still love doing. My brother & I were lucky. Our parents gave us a lovely childhood. Lots of fond memories x
What a beautiful story Pat, you know how to get my tear ducts open. Was so glad to hear the part about you Dad being a Christian and having a relationship with God. That was how he was able to teach Revelations, because he had ask Jesus into his heart. I pray that you and your family has that relationship with Jesus too. It is the most important thing you can do in life and it will make you a better person. I am so thankful that Jesus is my Savior and Lord, because there are things that only He could have brought me through. Still today I need his guidance and love! I love you Pat even though I haven’t met you and I look forward to your next story ✝️😊🌺🌻
You are truly blessed Ms. Pat to have a Daddy like he was. My Daddy passed when I was 10 yrs old and I’m 62 now. My childhood was rough and difficult. I am glad that I was born and turned out as a productive and compassionate human being. Blessings to you Ms. Pat & your family! 🙏🏼✝️💞
My dad died at age 59 I'm 68 now and still miss him. He never talked much about his family. He had a terrible stepdad. Some of the things I knew still can make me cry He was a wonderful father and he never whipped me.Sometimes he would work two jobs so my mother could stay home with me and my brother I Loved him so much. Alabama Girl
My Dad died when he was 30, I was 8. I understand what that is like. I am sorry you had to go through it also. My mother was extremely extremely abusive. So it was a very difficult childhood infact it wasn’t a childhood. To this day she has never been interested in me or my children, my children never had any grandparents or extended family at all. I didn’t want that for my children but it happened. Hopefully you have a better life now and hopefully you have happy memories of your father on Father’s Day.
What a treat Granny Pat. You told us about your brother Buddy now your daddy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You make us feel like we are a part of your family. So special!;
Hi Granny Pat! What a beautiful story about your Dad! Well he was much more than a "Dad"...he was your "Daddy" and there's a big difference between having a "Dad" and having a "Daddy!" I loved hearing about him! In fact your brother you lost in WWII sounds alot like him! Your Daddy was not ordinary...I think he was extraordinary! What beautiful memories! Believe me you had his approval much more than just in the house you bought! Lots of love to you sweet friend!❤❤😘
Such a beautiful remembrances of your Father. I loved every word and cried at the end. I feel sorry for his family. They sure missed out on a good man and his beautiful family. Thank you for sharing your Dad with us.
Your Dad sounds like he was a great man. My Dad passed away 5 years ago on June 19th. These next couple of days are going to be rough. I'm just going to remember the great memories. My husband buys stuff sporadically. My kids get a kick out of it too. Drives my crazy. Hahaha. Love from, South Carolina.
This was wonderful. You about brought me to tears. I loved hearing all about your daddy. It sounds like he lived a good, rounded life. I can hear how much you loved and respected him and how he adored you (in that final conversation). My daddy died in 1995 about 2 weeks after my 19th birthday and 1 week before his 55th birthday. My parents were separated when I was like 3 1/2. I really wish I had him longer. I hope you share more about him in the future. Happy early Father's Day to you & your daddy in Heaven.♥️ ((Dallas, Tx))
I understand…… my Father also died…just after my 8th birthday. It was devastating as my mother got far worse than ever and was abusive to me. With a brutal mother and no father it was horrible. My father was 30 when he died and 30 years to the day my son was born on the day my Father died. I named him after my father. Sometimes the cycle of life comes back around with a pleasant surprise. My son was born 2 months premature so he wasn’t supposed to be born on the anniversary of my fathers death or was he. I wish you pleasant surprises!
@@prettylady995 That is very difficult. I can relate though. This life can be very harsh. I'm glad to hear that you got a special surprise bundle of joy to celebrate on your grief day though. That is a great turn around story. Thank you so much for sharing it with me, and us all. Thank you for the sweet wish too 😊💕
Hi Granny, Pat, I loved hearing about your dad, and what a fine man he was. I was the daddy‘s girl and I just adored my dad. I did everything with him when I was growing up because I always wanted to be with him. He was the fun guy, always taking us kids to the movies and playing with us. He took us to church every Sunday. He died when I was 30 years old and that was 42 years ago. To this day I miss him and the great influence he had on my life. Thank you for sharing. All of your wonderful memories about your dad, I enjoyed this so very much. Love and blessings, Sheila.
That was such a nice story! It is so true how some of us girls were thrilled just getting dad's approval. I was that way with my dad. He was very difficult to live with though. But I still miss him. 🤗
That was a wonderful story about your dad! I never new anything about my dad’s family even though we lived in the same house. I would ask mama but she would say I don’t know or I can’t tell you. Of course he is gone now and I can’t ask anyone about him. I had a good upbringing and am very proud of my parents though. I heard those same threats about “wait till your daddy gets home “. Hahaha! Thanks for telling us about your family….
Precious memories from a time gone by never to be again…things are so different now…and not necessarily for the better. Those simple and many times hard times made strong people. So many stories of my family-from both sides-maternal and paternal come to my mind when you speak of your childhood. If my dad was alive today he would be 90 years old. He was a very complicated and harsh man and I was his only child. He was very hard on me growing up but I knew he loved me and I loved him. I was at his bedside when took his last breath at age 83. I think of him every day and I always will. The older I get, the more I understand and appreciate why he was so hard on me. You are a very special lady and I appreciate and enjoy every video you post…!!! Sending love and big hugs tonight from rural Georgia. 💝🙏🏻💝
I loved hearing about your dad. He sounds a lot like my dad. He was a self employed electrician/cow farmer. I bet he wired every new house during those years in the county and did repairs on all the others. My mom always laughed too that she would have to hire someone to do repairs at home before she could get him to. Both of my parents have passed too. I regret I didn’t pay enough attention to all the good stories they would tell. I need to write down what I do remember and question my sister while I can. I also laughed when you mentioned the funny “frog” town name. We have some funny ones here too as well like Toad Suck and Possum Grape. Ha ha. Have a blessed day and look forward to your next video. You feel like a part of my family. ❤️
Please read beyond the beginning: My dad was never really a part of my life, he was not a good person. My mother got a divorce when I was a baby to make sure I wasn’t abused by him. So my grandfather, her father, was my “father figure”. I think about him as my dad because he taught me all the things a dad should teach a son. He was born in 1916 and sounds like he and your dad would have been fast friends. He was a good man with a simple mindset about life. Very loving heart underneath, but he was always serious about things. All business. And oh how he would surprise us with major purchases like new cars! He also loved to plant fields of watermelons and then take them to the farmers market to sell in big trucks. I’m rambling a bit, but I just wanted to thank you for bringing his memory back to me today by sharing your story about your dad. I lost him when I was 15 yrs old, and I’ve missed him ever since. I know you feel the same about your dad. Thank you again for bringing a smile to me today. Love your stories, I watch them all. And I’m gonna make your banana pudding for the fourth!
You've done it again Pat. You've blessed us with more stories about your father. How great it was for you all to ride around in that convertible Chrysler, and get to play on the 7 acre farm. I might add, you ended it up bringing on the tears. I'm so glad you were able to be with him in his final days. What a beautiful thing to see, a young woman's joy over the pride her daddy has for her. It still shows on your face. You did a good job Sis. Almost forgot... Sara does like your glasses. Evansville out.
Father's are not always appreciated as much as they should be, sadly. Many don't take care of their children and that's a crying shame. They are mere mortals, they'd do better if they could. I think of my father often.
Well I’m crying.😢❤ What a beautiful Daddy you had. That’s such a blessing! It sounds like you & your Family were such a close and supportive Family. My Daddy raised my baby Brother & I when my Mom had some issues. And my Grandma helped raise us too. He is the best Dad and all of the Neighborhood Kid’s would ALWAY’S come over & talk and get advice from him. He grew up on a big garden too. His Dad had such a beautiful Garden we loved to pick all of the Fruit. We live in Michigan. My Dad was diagnosed w/ Throat Cancer 5 year’s ago. My Mom passed away the same year. So me being the oldest naturally I handled her Funeral and I took my Dad to his Chemo, & Radiation Therapy every day 45 minutes away. That same year a lady did a U-turn and totaled my new car! And my cat that I loved so much died. But God got me through. And my Dad made it. He lost his voice but he met a wonderful Woman while he was in the Nursing home recovering. She’s a PT. I feel like God spared us and didn’t take both of our parents. Anyway’s thank you again for your story. I really enjoyed it.
AWESOME STORY! My Dad will turn 79 June 20th... He reminds me of your Father. He leaves and brings home NEW CARS without telling my Mother. They would've been great pals!! 👍
It's wonderful to hear these stories, full of history and just good old story telling. I did Not have a father like that, sadly. He was selfish and divorced my mother when I was 5. I was lucky, my brother not so much, as he was 15 years older than me. So, I love hearing about loving, unselfish Dads, thanks so much!
Yes Pat or should I say Eunice, you know I’m only playing, right, your father sound like a wonderful man. He became a man very early in life said that he didn’t know his family, but worse if they didn’t try and reach out to him you had a good life so that car with the door panels on the truck horn or very fancy and your cement pond with the flowers sounds like a very sweet. Your friend Maureen from Ohio 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for sharing. What lovely memories you have of your dad. I feel the same about mine. Having good parents makes all the difference. I lost my dad in 2020 but there is barely an hour that goes by that I do not think of him, miss him and feel the appreciation for him that I can never repay.
so enjoyed listening to your tribute to your dad. Ive listened to your previous one where you spoke of visiting the property (the cookbook story and how you connected with the property). I lost my father when I was young. wonderful man. had a hard life also, WWII vet, a good family man. Fathers day is always bittersweet.
Well Good Morning Granny Pat. It’s 8:42 pm here in Borrego Springs and I just finished listening to your story That’s My Dad. I could picture every word you spoke right down to “You did good Sis” . You my friend as well as your siblings are very blessed to have had such wonderful and loving parents. Thank you again for sharing this with all of us. Good Night until next time❤️🙏❤️… Oh I almost forgot I got my Blue Plate Special recipe book today🤩. I didn’t see your stuffing recipe. Maybe you could show us in the fall. Nite😊
Couldn’t help it-yes, tears-& laughter! Thank you for sharing, your life stories. There are many family similarities, though not all. I knew my ‘birth’ father very little. I was 11 when he died after a two year prolonged illness. I still actively mourned his loss (I mean daily) until my mid thirties when I came to terms with it. My step father was the one who did some of the things your Daddy did. I LOVE hearing your life stories. You are the BEST find on RUclips I have had this year. I think for a variety of reasons many of us can relate to you and your life. Also for some of us your sharing fills a big hole in our lives. Thank You SO much!
Hi Pat, this is the second time Ive watched this video! I have been watching you for a few weeks, this morning watched the Tappen oven video and at the end you talked about being subscribed and so forth. I thought well Im one of your new subscribers, went to the channel and found I wasnt subscribed at all😂 I subscribed today!! I love your stories, I miss my mother so much and you bring back so many memories. I was born in Seattle Washington in 1960 , please keep the stories coming,. When you share your life you are spreading love, I wanted you to know it means so much to me.❤
you're on fire in this video. Face expression and dry humor so entertaining! Spider legs, hair dye, Love the ichabod crane analogy to unattractive people cracked me up..."fussed and cussed" about that car. Good Laugh.
I sure hope you like it. Any questions, let me know. I found where I omitted an ingredient here and there. It was difficult trying to remember the entire recipe. I was in a hurry on this book.
I was a daddy's girl....he was so special to me....and I was special to him. What ever he was doing I was right beside him helping him, if he was working on the car I was right there handing him the tools. Those were special days I wouldn't trade for anything. He's in heaven now, and we'll see each other again. I love, and miss him so much. Nothing better than a good daddy....!!!❤❤😊
I am in my element listening to your stories Pat. Binge watching your videos. I love social history and all your past experiences can be recorded here on RUclips for posterity thank goodness. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing. “Spider legs” lol. 😂
How blessed you are that your dad was a Christian man!!! What an absolutely fascinating life he gave his family. His influence lives on in you. He would be so pleased to see the impact you are having on this world due in part to his parenting and his teachings about Christ. You have such a captivating way about you. Sending blessings. Happy Sunday.
Thank you,It does sound familiar.I wish my dad was still living because he knew a lot of people.Again I sure do love listening to your stories and your voice is so relaxing.

What a story Granny Pat! It warmed my heart to hear about your Dad’s perseverance. He evidently came from good stock. I can envision the convertible and the turquoise Hudson and you girls running in the house to take off the halter tops!!! I absolutely love listening to you and your stories. You’re the Queen of RUclips in my book❤
This one had me crying. What happened to your dad’s stepmother? Who took care of her after your dad went to live with his sister? Did your sister who dated the Ichabod Crane look alike marry him? Like everyone else, I love your stories. This one touched my heartstrings because I lost my daddy when I was 16. Very sudden.
Granny Pat, I lost my dad in July to cancer. He was the 3rd oldest of 14 kids. I love hearing your stories and appreciate you tremendously. You are absolutely a gem and treasure on earth. I love all your stories.
Hey beautiful Gran Gran you are a natural when it comes to telling stories I can’t tell you how precious this story about your Dad was I so intent on every word and yes it brought back memories of my own Dad and the tears were running down my face the way you described everything about your Dad was as real as watching a movie on screen I too had a wonderful Dad I miss him so much and your stories are a blessing to me they help remind me that we haven’t seen them for the last time We will see them again one hallelujah day and the reunion will be for all eternity!!!!!!!!!
My dad died at age 59
I'm 68 now and still miss him.
He never talked much about his family. He had a terrible stepdad. Some of the things I knew still can make me cry
He was a wonderful father and he never whipped me.Sometimes he would work two jobs so my mother could stay home with me and my brother
I Loved him so much.
My Poppy passed away two years ago. Every day was fathers day ;)... I sure loved your memories of your dad! Thanks for sharing such an amazing man. 🤗
I just want to tell you that as a new listener, I absolutely loved hearing you tell your story. Thank you. Jayne Wisconsin.
What a treat Granny Pat. You told us about your brother Buddy now your daddy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You make us feel like we are a part of your family. So special!;
Yes indeed ♥️
Your Dad sounds like he was a great man.
My Dad passed away 5 years ago on June 19th. These next couple of days are going to be rough. I'm just going to remember the great memories.
My husband buys stuff sporadically. My kids get a kick out of it too. Drives my crazy. Hahaha. Love from, South Carolina.
I love when I see you grandma❤❤
Old Spider Legs! Lol. That tickled me. Sounds like you had a good Daddy Granny Pat. Love listening to your stories.
You should have seen the fire shooting out of my sister’s nostrils. That was even funnier!
Really enjoyed your stories about life with Dad! I even looked up the cars you talked about! Very nice👍great story teller!❤
Happy early Father's Day to you & your daddy in Heaven.♥️
((Dallas, Tx))
What wonderful memories of your Dad... thank you for sharing 💝
And I love your earrings and necklace... very pretty 😊
I made the jeweiry. Just one of my craft prolects.
Well you are amazing at it... they are beautiful 💗
Thank you for sharing this story about your Dad, your a wonderful storyteller❤
Loved your stories about your father! Thanks for sharing the history of your family so interesting!!
A beautiful story about your daddy.
I enjoy your stories so much and that you love him so much even now! Such sweet and funny memories.
A wonderful tribute to your father Granny Pat. Very moving
You feel like a part of
my family.
I enjoyed your story, never stop telling your story I can't wait until you have another one. May your day be blessed 🙏🏼
Thank you Granny Pat. Another story shared beautifully.
"Ichabod Crane"😂 Girl, I laughed so hard I peed my pants!!!
Granny Pat you are a gem. I love all your stories, you tell them so heartfelt. Your Daddy sounds like he was wonderful person.❤🙏💛
He was just ‘Daddy’ to me.
You’re a wonderful storyteller 😺😀❤️
Father's are not always appreciated as much as they should be, sadly. Many don't take care of their children and that's a crying shame. They are mere mortals, they'd do better if they could. I think of my father often.
Thank You so much for sharing. So much of your stories is like my life.Thank you.For Father day .God bless you.
Your story of your Daddy touched my heart so. I cried with you thinking of my Daddy who pasted in 1994 in his 50's. How I miss him so.
Hi Pat I love your story about your Dad❤️❤️
Thank you very much Pat.
I laughed so hard "Wait till your father gets home" I heard that so many times. You have wonderful memories.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy Father's Day George♥ You were one of the Best! God Bless You Sis♥
Thank you dear Granny Pat. My Daddy was much like yours. ❤
so enjoyed listening to your tribute to your dad. Ive listened to your previous one where you spoke of visiting the property (the cookbook story and how you connected with the property). I lost my father when I was young. wonderful man. had a hard life also, WWII vet, a good family man. Fathers day is always bittersweet.
The way you can tell these stories is amazing. You got me all emotional at 44:00.
Pat when I think of my Dad I miss him to this day and I still cry at times.❤️
It has been 80 years. I still cry!

Good Night until next time❤️🙏❤️… Oh I almost forgot I got my Blue Plate Special recipe book today🤩. I didn’t see your stuffing recipe. Maybe you could show us in the fall. Nite😊
That recipe will wait for Fall.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Thank you looking forward to Fall.
I never dreamed my stories would have such a tremendous effect on my viewers. I am the one being blessed.
Hi Pat, this is the second time Ive watched this video! When you share your life you are spreading love, I wanted you to know it means so much to me.❤
Thank you and thank you also for subscribing. I hope to keep you entertained.
you're on fire in this video. Face expression and dry humor so entertaining! Spider legs, hair dye, Love the ichabod crane analogy to unattractive people cracked me up..."fussed and cussed" about that car. Good Laugh.
We weren’t what some might call ‘the perfect family’.
Won't be celebrating Father's Day...my Dad passed 11 years ago. Years fly by fast
My dad passed the year of our bicentennial. 47 years ago. Seems just a few years..

Love all your videos do you have any Burmese by Fenton
I am not familiar with it.
