Good evening Granny Pat. I believe this has been one of the funniest stories Ive heard you tell about your mother. I have laughed so much. I hope you and me both are still around on your 100th birthday too to hear more of your stories.
Your stories put me to sleep at night. I usually have to go back where I fell asleep, but so worth it. The best relaxing stories. Thank you sweet lady.
Pat, I hear in the tremor in you voice how you miss her, your Mom, because as an adult you understand how necessary it was for her to be strict in raising her children. I had a wonderful woman in my life, I will use the name she fondly recalled from time to time, Peaches, who taught me the value of the right way to discipline children. I had two children 14 years apart. A son first and then my daughter. My daughter is the child that benefitted the most from what I learned from Peaches, or Nana, as she was also called. I learned to be tough, and tender. I learned to be strict, and kind. I learned more from this woman about these things than my own Mother. I’m so grateful she came into my life. I DO believe God brought her into my life. I will always love my Mother, because she was my Mother. She was the best cook, next to Peaches, I have ever known. I don’t hold a candle to either of them though I LOVE to cook. I hope you have a long life like your Mother because I will join you here on RUclips for ad long as you want to do this. Your Mother’s hair is lovely, I wish I had some of my Mom’s hair as well. It was coal black and she had beautiful BLUE eyes, a pretty woman. Thank you for today’s story. 🌷💕🤗🙏😊
Pat, I love your stories. Thank you very much for sharing your time and stories. Your mother sounds contanquras, funny and strict. I'm so glad you all gave her the best 100th birthday! She was a very sweet and caring person while taking care of business and her family. Your Dad also. Love your antiques. Take care, sweet lady. Thanks again for your lovely stories. Glad you got to ride in a convertible and it didn't mess up your hair😀 God Bless You and your family.✝️🙏
So beautiful! What a wonderful story about your Mother! I recently found your channel, and could not subscribe fast enough! I'59 this month, my mother is 81. I thank God for her every day! Please know that your Chanel, your stories, your recipes and your hobbies are all a Blessing to many. So, keep making videos for us to enjoy and thank you for sharing a part of your life, with us!!!
I love all your stories. I live in a little North Georgia Mountains town, named Blairsville. My youngest son and his family lived in Elkton Kentucky several years ago.
I really loved your sweet story of your mother’s love for her family during hard times and good times.ANd the love you and siblings had for your northern. My dad always taught us kids when I was young, “you only get one mother. “
Thank you Pat for all the stories we have a lot of Pat in our family I had the same idea balloons for my son when he passed thank you for all your love and sweetness we need that thank you
I love you, Pat. Your stories bring me joy and comfort, so much so that I sit and listen the way I would if someone were reading to us from a good book. You are a wonderful story teller. Thank you so much.
The tic tack story is so funny! I love these stories…. I didn’t have parents….. well for some of the time when my mother was around she was terribly abusive. So I like stories of a Real Mother a loving Mother. She sounds so funny in her older age!
How lucky to have your mother last to 101 years. I should be so lucky not only to love that long, but to remain as sharp-minded as she. You seem to have the same strong genes. Some of the stories were laugh-out-loud funny. Thank you for sharing her stories.
Sis your momma knows how much care you take of her memory and how much you love n miss her,we will be back together with them soon! Love ya pretty woman!❤❤
What wonderful Mother stories. The Banana Pudding story and that bowl brought tears to my eyes and heart. And having your Mother’s beautiful stresses is such a personal treasure. God Bless 💕💕💕
Pat, I loved every bit of this! The fact that you still have your mom‘s banana pudding bowl is so touching. Your stories were so sweet, and you give exactly enough detail. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work. PS no way you’re 86!
How blessed you are to have these memories of your mother. My four siblings and I were not as fortunate as our mother was lacking whatever it takes to cherish your children and she left all 5 of us with our dad when we were 6 months old to 8 years to raise by himself and THAT he did. When we were young children and were forced to make Mothers Day cards at school, we would take them home and give them to Daddy. He's my all time hero and I've been forever grateful to have been raised by the values he instilled in all of us. There was never a woman in his life that we knew of until we were all grown. Right up until he passed away at the young age of 61, I gave him a card on both Mother's Day and Father's Day. We know what a lucky bunch of kids we were to have had him so please don't feel badly about our story because we knew we were loved every moment of our lives and that's the most important gift any parent can leave us with.
That is a colossal cake stand! Amazing that it’s from 1905. I hope you get to place a big cake on it. Of course, I’ve seen other fun was people display cake stands and place all kinds of things on them.
Your stories are the best and you have such a beautiful way of making me feel like I am right there! Thank you for sharing the comical, loving and sweet memories of your mother ❤
Thank you for sharing about your Mother - she reminds me so much of my Grandma. She was a good cook and had a green thumb (and used her old nylons to tie-up the flowers in the yard). Your stories brought back so many memories.
I can see how much you love and miss your mother. You are so blessed to have these beautiful memories of a loving family. There was only one person who loved me in my family and that was my great granny Clara. Also from Tennessee and one of her daughters also named Pat. You and your stories and ways remind me so much of my granny. I often have to step away while watching your videos just to keep from crying because that is how much you remind me of her. She was the sweetest woman I ever knew and she had a gift of being able to welcome people in her home and share her love for them. Anyone who came to her door would never enter or exit her door without being stuffed full of food and love equally measured in great abundance. I don't know if she was a great cook or not but her love made everything taste sweet no matter what she served you. Thank you Pat for the sharing of your memories, your stories, and just being your beautiful self. God bless you!
I love to see your antiques & to listen to your stories. Thank you for sharing about your Mother & Mothers Day with your Mother, she sounded like an amazing woman. Please keep telling us your life stories. I know I enjoy hearing them
Granny Patt ! I must say I enjoyed the story about your Sweet mother ,My mother lived to be 99 1 /2 , miss her so much, love to hear all your stories ..
You teach us so much not just about your family, or yourself, but also about area you grew up in, morals, & culture. Thank you. Thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. God bless.
Love any story about mothers..our mother was 85 when she passed away, her body failed, but as sharp the instant she died as her 3 girls all put together!!! So much like your family. Enjoyed the Children of the south also. I remember it also. Jan in Tennessee. PS yes you do look different now. So neat ,like your look today.
My mom just passed on the 22nd on Thursday couple days ago she made the best fried chicken and potato salad in the world and she made my nanny's sauce better than anybody except my nanny Love ❤ you're video 😊 43:35
I know you had a wonderful mother and I can tell that you greatly appreciated and loved her! I had a wonderful mother and also a wonderful mother in law! I was so fortunate and I Loved them both so much!
The stories about your mom remind me so much of papaw and how he was. He passed away a couple weeks ago. And he had a streak of speaking his own mind, and being in the one in charge. Today, I think it’s hard to understand people who speak their mind, unfortunately. I miss my papaw so much. I don’t think a lot my other family does, but he was also so sweet. One of the sweetest most generous people, but his personality was not easy to deal with. But if he lived and cared about you, he’d give anything. Including unconditional love. I’m so proud that he entrusted me with his secrets and he loved me. I miss him. I dont know, but maybe the most difficult people are the most worthwhile knowing and loving. It’s amazing how beautiful her hair still is.
I am catching up on your older videos and I think this one is one of my favorites! You absolutely had a very special Mother. I loved hearing the stories about how she made do w/ what she had and made sure to stretch a buck. Isn’t that amazing how in those day’s Mother’s could feed all of those Children with hardly nothing?! Also, it definitely gives me so much inspiration to be the best Mother I can be even more so! Like saving her hair was very smart. Not many of us have the forthought to save thing’s like that for our Grandchildren. I think her banana pudding bowl is the prettiest bowl I have seen and I’m not lying. I make the best homemade banana pudding in my family. And I think I’ll get a pretty bowl to pass on to my Daughter one day. Thank’s for sharing Granny Pat. 💕
Yes you are a treasure and tell wonderful stories. I feel like I knew your mother too. Best life still ahead for you, dear sister in Jesus name I pray. AMEN. 💋🌈

I enjoy your storytelling, Granny Pat, and your "history lessons," like the 1918 flu epidemic and Great Depression. Your stories about your mama made me giggle and laugh out loud. I choked up when you choked up, too. You're a great daughter! Did you grow up in Kentucky?

First of all, happy belated birthday. Pat you are such a grand storyteller, l applaud you on keeping your thoughts together in order to tell a story with so many parts like your mothers story had. Just want you to know l envy you for that cake plate and your jadeite collection. I once inherited a nice collection of occupied Japan but had to sell it cause l needed the money. I was a single parent raising two boys all alone. God bless you sister for 87 years, ans many more!❤marsha
