You just helped me realize that I’ve been packing my Solgaard suitcase all wrong!!! I followed the way you have your suitcase laid out and now I have so much room 😭 I feel so silly lol but I’m so relieved to have found your video! Thank you so much!
@@MsOmgnowai2 I was overpacking the sections of the closet and then putting it in perpendicularly, which made it very difficult to close. The closet needs to sort of collapse in on itself in the way the she shows it in her video.
I have a ha ging stow and go. I dont want to bend down to the floor over to get stuff out of the shelves. I just toom a 6 week trip using the stow and go and a small backpack hangs in the hotel closet and all is at eye level.
Going to give it a try again and see if I can successfully pack my closet, 22", for a 7 day cruise. I also have the backpack which I've used numerous times for many trips by air, land, and sea, but was discouraged with the closet but am willing to try it again by deleting items I shouldn't need. We'll get back later to tell you how my packing is going. I have a few extra days this time and won't leave until May 22....
The only issue I have with ours is boots with heels and I put them on the other side and it hardly shuts. The main reason I bought it was the suitcase organizer but I never can get it to work and just use packing cubes.
This was very, VERY helpful. Thank you for being so transparent about the “girly” side of this; I think we are over packers by nature, lol! Thank you for helping me decide on a purchase! ❤️
Thank you for your review: 1. Everyone should use the luggage racks and NOT put filthy luggage on your bed where you sleep. 2. Put your shoes in a travel shoe bag ; they’re also filthy - especially the bottoms if you walk in a city. 3. The Solgaard clothing compartment can be hung in the CLOSET on the rod for easier access. 4. Did you use the USB charger port?
Is this the 22" we want to purchase for a Mediterranean and cruise and I am worried that it is just above the size requirements for American Airlines and Delta
Thanks for posting! Looking at buying a new carry-on now. Biggest concern is if the plus fits OK on the plane? Have you noticed any excessive marks? That was a big reason why I didn't go with Monos and am looking at Solgaard. Thanks again!
I'm heading to Italy next year. Seems like the large carry(22") slightly exceeds the European guidelines. Does anyone know if it would be fine, or do they actually measure suitcases there? I'm good here in the US otherwise.
This was precisely what I wanted to hear and see about this when I saw it pop up. I don't have a massive need for a travel carry on but I like the idea of this pop up or pop out kind of deal. I'm a very very light packer but I'd like a little more comfort for my back than carrying a short and stout back that makes me look like a turtle lol if I had one of these it would achieve the same thing but save my back lol I never access my backpack during a flight so I don't know why I travel with one and carry it.
I can get twice that many clothes and that side of the suitcase without using the garment closet item and it’s taking up way too much space on its own. I can get way more clothes than what’s in that. Hanging garment by using. Packing cubes or compression cubes I think it’s a nuisance. I don’t use it. I leave it out completely.
This is not new. Joy Mangano made (makes?) the same suitcase for years. Hmmm ... does having a patent on it now mean she can't continue to make hers? Loved her idea years ago and still love it!
@@pamelamitchell280 Solgaard offers 2 sizes of the carry on and there is also a large checked bag version. The one in the video is the carry-on closet plus. Here’s a link to the exact on on their site: solgaard.co/collections/luggage/products/carry-on-closet?variant=41612082970797
It's really both. The luggage itself is well balanced. Whether using 2 wheels or 4, it rolls easily. It's sturdy, but not heavy. And the handle is quality. The organizational closet is a bonus. I love how it makes my traveling more efficient. I can easily find exactly what I'm looking for without digging through clothes and creating a jumbled mess.
@KateDillonTV Is this the 22" or 20" version? I'm going on a 12 day italy trip, and it seems like the 22" version is slightly larger than Europe guidelines. Will I be OK with the 22" version? Thx
I am so disappointed in this product. Overpromised and underdelivered. I watched the RUclips tutorial. And actually packed less than what was shown. I still had to fight with this suitcase to close it. I put my Full body weight on this case (and I’m a plus size woman) and it still wouldn’t close. Where was the compression? When trying to pack the suitcase, the straps slip off of the handgrip and it’s frustrating. The plastic is cheap. It scratched putting it into the overhead compartment. All this and it’s nearly $300???! No way!
The suitcase is not meant to be used on both sides w/the hanging closet, unless you lay it like shown in this video, which is kind of diagonally flat. Also, the product says to only fill each compartment apx 65% capacity. It's not magic. lol
I use my IKEA closet organizer for years its the same thing as this item it does the job with my own luggage 2.0 carryon bag its a 15$ buy at ikea no need to buy this solgaard junk.

what mistake did you make when you were packing before? I’m about to get this

we have the same make up bag, so glad I'm not the only one with that big bag plus a makeup mirror LOL

You are talented to have filmed that with one hand and shown the suitcase with the other
Thanks so much!
Stunning opening to the video when we're greeted with your face, follows that with an extremely informative and helpful review. Thanks.
Super helpful!!!!! Seriously thank you for making this video!!!!
Very helpful, thank you! I was wondering about how my make up bag/hair things would fit!
😊
Thank you for this! It is very helpful. :)
Vlogging like a pro. :) Super awesome review and entertaining to watch!
Thank you so much!
Is it the 20" or 22"? I want the bigger one, but want to make sure I can carry-on international flights. I think I'll be ok.

Great tips! No, I haven’t used the charging port.
I am pretty particular with cleanliness, but it seems strange to give these rules to someone else

Can you pack dresses? PS Thanks for showing how make-up etc can fit in!
Why wouldn't you be able to pack a dress?
Thank you for this video! Did you ever have problems getting it into carry on on the plane?
I have had zero problems. It fits in the overhead easily.

I don't see three or four shirts.
Can I carry this on a carry on plane instead? I don't wanna do check in suit case anymore, lol
Yes, this suitcase can be carried on a plane so that you don't have to check a bag.

Question ..... Can you fit a pair of high heel shoes in the bottom lattice? Do you have to fit into the bigger pockets instead?
See that's the issue I have is heeled boots getting them to fit
thankyouuuu truly helpful

How well does it roll over carpet?
No issues. It does really well.
Sorry if you said as much in the video, but is this the smaller or larger version? I'm trying to decide which to get.
