I wish I had received this message in my very early twenties. I’m so glad that it’s out there now for young people.
I’ve been dealing with anxiety & depression since my childhood i was never taught how to love myself,i was bullied and I had a lot of things that affected the way I think about my self but this video here helped me so much to work for myself to really stand up and be the person i am without apologizing thank you❤
I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with that since childhood, I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a child who doesn't have the awareness/tools to help manage it. You bring up a good point, you said "I was never taught to love myself". I don't think I ever was either! That's something I learned on my own. Growing up we might learn to believe that love is something we only get from parents/family/friends when we "do" certain things or if we're a. "good girl/boy" then we hear "I love you". But wouldn't it be so valuable if our parents/teachers would prompt us to love ourselves and share all the reasons we have to love ourselves. That would condition "Self-love" from a young age and teach us that we can love ourselves and that's enough.
A lot of us have gone through the same thing...wishing you luck on your journey to rebuild yourself. Use your past heartbreak to make yourself stronger.

Yes! I was going trough a spiritual awakening this year. It was very hard, but now I am the woman that I always felt ment to be. Standing strong in my body and soul. Nothing anymore can stop me/bring me down.

Great message for this morning. The biggest take away is the clarity of the steps to valuing myself. Some things I do already but more on a subconscious level & I believe a place of low confidence. Im 20 and I'm going to cycle to Albania and Im not bringing money so I need to survive to be able to cycle there and sleep outside or at strangers houses. This will increase my real confidence cause it will be confidence made out of hardship and out of real understanding of myself instead of comfortable and faking it.

I would only say, that confidence does not come from within. As you said spiritually, and being a human being, that comes from my faith in Jesus Christ being my creator and Savior. My humanity is a gift and being wonderfully made in the image of the holy Trinity, that is where my confidence is held. That whether I was in jail or on the street as a failure, or sitting in a mansion as a financial success, neither would break that truth. No words or ideas from anyone else, even in my own mind, can ever break that truth.
No worldly lies being told to me, no attacks from the enemy.
