2010 Ford Transit connect rear cargo doors not unlatching

this is a 2010 Ford Transit connect XL that had the back cargo door lock not unlatching. I purchased this used it had been an accident and seemed like previous answer had tried to get this door to open hadn't been able to get it open looked on a few forums posted on a few pages didn't really help me out much just gave me enough to cancel stuff out there's a little square hole behind the child safety Lock they had a piece when I put the screwdriver in there I heard something fall so obviously mine is broken but I pushed a little screwdriver in there slightly and pulled on the yellow lever and the door opens up every time hope this helps somebody out
