Check the wires. And also you are pressing wrongg button to unlock the back door.. use the bottom button
All the wires seem ok, and the ground too, I'll have to pay someone to look at it 😭 I've tried every button mate 🤣
This problem may be because one of the 3 doors has a bad sensor and the dashboard reads it as if it were open. In my case the problem was with the Rear door. In order to do the bonding to the ground it is a little more complicated because there are 6 cables and They are exactly the same color (black). So, what I did was: Scrape a metal part of the rear door and anchor or drill a hole to screw in a screw with a cable, this will be my Ground. Afterwards, I disconnected the connector with the 6 cables from the rear door and made contact with each wire until the fuse burns. You will know what I have done because the remote control will not work. Then I went to the vehicle's dashboard and left it on and the door light was still on, so I made contact with each wire of the connector until I found the cable that turns off the door open light on the rear door. Once you find it, you just cut it and join it to the ground cable that you had already screwed to the metal of the door. Then you just replace the fuse number 163, it is 20 amps. This fuse is located on the driver's side, in the third row, it is the fourth fuse from the right to the left. Once you replace it, the remote control will work to close the doors.

Got the same problem on the transit mark 7 I just bought. If I lock the rear door from the inside, then the horn stops beeping when I lock from fob. And so far found no way of locking the rear door from key fob... unless I climb do it manually from the inside. Now nervous if I replace the entire rear lock mechanism I will still be stuck with the same problem. Checked the wires and they all look fine visually. Any idea how to find out where the problem is? How to fix this annoying issue?
This is exactly what happens with mine, and I'm the same can't find the issue, I'm guessing it's the electronics within the mechanism that are faulty, I think I'm just gonna buy a new module
@@whiteroseoutdoorsjust managed to fix the problem by spraying silicone lube into the rear lock mechanism while inserting a screwdriver into the latch part, and locking and unlocking rapidly. And the darn thing bounced back to life. I nearly fainted. Been working fine for 2 days now.
it’s not the unit, i had same issue & unit change made no difference! problem remains
Just found that out myself, borrowed my mates out of his van and it made no odds, really perplexed what it is with me being a novice with electrics haha, i changed fuse which had blown, I wonder if theres a relay somewhere that needs replacing?
@@whiteroseoutdoors It turned out to be damaged wiring on mine, check the wiring all the way from the unit to where it leaves the door area and goes into the body of the van. That’s where i found the issue (2 perished wires) among the bunch !
@@whiteroseoutdoorsHi, mate. I've the same problem but suddenly happened in ALL doors. The only way I has able to get in was with the key like in the ol' days. I wonder if you could be so kind to tell me wich fuse did you replace. Thxs in advance!
@@patrickbateman9242 heyup bud, sorry I don't remember, they're on the fuse box that's behind the fuse box in the glove box area, if I remember they should be labelled, I hope this helps at least, atb Chris
