In my case I had corroded contact points, I brushed it slightly and cleaned with electro-contact spray and now locking mechanism works (before that I couldn´t lock the slide door, and then suddenly it locked and then I could´t unlock/ open it ) So if you manage to open it somehow (I tried unlocking it from inside there and back, there and back + locking and unlocking with remote key + push the middle left side of the slide door) try to clean both contact poins (on the car and slider door)
The little yellow mechanism you twisted wear out causing play in the cable the cable then can not push to unlock the door .the way around it is to take out the cable stretch the end of the cable where it goes in to the yellow mechanism by bending the end of the cable it will make it longer just make sure you bend it the right way
@@kokoleole273 NOOOOO :( ......i thought coz same yr...but i dont have that part you twisted in door panel...also my front doors lock even when my back doors open !! i triend several times...i have a manual knob inside on door i can open/ close(to lock)....but have go inside to open all the time...right pain!!! i really wanna fix this....wondering if anyone else has any ideas ??...thanks for video tho..hope it works for others!!
@@feralfreebirds does your door line up properly? Mine dropped a bit and have had to adjust to raise it again so shut lines and door sits evenly in the gap. Still perfect bit it does open again now on the 2nd or 3rd click of the fob
@@bidders77 im not sure how to tell? as it slides shut and sits in place..i dont even know how to adjust it, when we get a dryer day..im gunna have a look tho and see if i can see how to adjust it n have a go, as its a pain to climb thru each time ! Thanks for the advice :) !
when you press unlock..wait 2 seconds before grabbing the door handle to open the door...simple...just let the door have 2 seconds to unlock....then open : )
What you say makes sense, but in my case I could waited 2 minutes and door wouldn't open. Now If I have some problem with the side door, I don't take back panel, I just leave any door open and lock from remote, which resets locks and than close door and lock/unlock which makes side door opening again.
I dont have that yellow part on mine. My door is jammed closed but the van doors are all in open mode meaning I cannot lock it with the key as the sliding door it seems isnt closed tight enough.. but cant get it to open now and this has been happenng regularly unless I slammed it shut. any ideas?
Mate you dead set legend my side door had jammed and it ended up being the back lock just like this. Cheers mate
