There was a boy that I knew at school, Never one to break any rules, Never many friends cos he wasn't exactly cool Treated like a fool to be fair Never scored at footy so the other kids did not care. Just a nerd, till he heard them on the woods screaming "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me". Went and brought the tape the next day, Within a week got all the words in his memory. Jealous kids say "he's a cliché", But man a-changing from the music that the band play. Walk the corridor with boots and his head shaved, Bully gets him pissed, swing a fist and the boy say "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me". This is the sound of a revolution. They've come to take away all your uncertainty and insecurities and spell an end to this confusion. Blown out of your mind; Leaving the old life behind in a song. This is where I belong for tonight. And so the kid's alright now, Ring in his nose and rude boy is a sight now. Scallys they well want to bottle him Other half cut their hair and want to follow him. Digging on the style of the bands that he borrowing, Running round the park and the playground hollering "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me". Isn't it strange the change of one tune? How the place in the space can trace to one tune How the grey of the day can fade when one tune Put the colour in his life like Manga cartoons. Mic check one two Saturday afternoon Having it large in the garage as they run through "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me". This is the sound of a revolution. They've come to take away all your uncertainty and insecurities and spell an end to this confusion. Blown out of your mind; Leaving the old life behind in a song. This is where I belong for tonight. So hear the sound of a revolution As it accompany this new reality And sing along with this conclusion. Blown out of your mind; Leaving the old life behind in a song. This is where I belong for tonight.
Remember loving this when I was like 14. Positive lyrics and sound and I like the bit of genre-mixing and having different vocalists. One of the most well-aged songs from that time for me, as someone whose musical taste got more eclectic and coincidentally ended up a manga fan.
The irony of this is me n my mate Owen used to listen to you guys and thisnis the High school we went too. He went to see you guys what seemed like every other weekend. I came to a few. Was so shocked when I watched this video n was like! Yo that's Eddie's!
If you like this check out some more ska bands: Dirty Revolution, Ezzo, Skankaroos, Skapoint, the skints, randomhand, clay pigeon, catch 22, tyrannosaurus allan, mouthwash, streetlight manifesto, king blues and the Mad Caddies to name a few of the many =)
Exactly! Singing a song about a song. The people saying they ripped them off should realise they're not. Glad somebody else sees where I'm coming from :P x
Believe me... this is something 99 posse did in italian way years ago. They had this girl named name Meg with a great voice which gave the band a unique raggamuffin style.
I love the people who cant handle the fact her voice is different. Yeah its a bit weird, but its unique and enjoyable and fits their sound. Would love to see them live.

..Sonic Boom Six können es einfach, besonders Live..beste Laune verbreiten..
Iw was in Köln too, imo the girl sounds like a chipmunk, but they made some nice party ;-) tbf kicked ass again, because they´re the masters of all musical stlyes ;-)
omg saw them at norwich uea wit RBF and i must say i nearly enjoyed em more than reel big fish. also as people who went shud know that she was at the merch all night so i met her and she is such a nice girl :p hehe
@dom1n1ka : Das war Ironie. Ich war in der 1. Reihe & diese Stimme der Frau war der reinste Abfuck. Es erinnerte mich an ein schlechtes "No Doubt", diese Gwen Stefani-Band.
If you like this band check out the 'Dirty Revolution' 'The Skints' 'Babyhead' and 'Tyrannosaurus Allen' . They're up and coming ska/twotone bands that need as much support as possible.
The singer is "okay" but she really needs to expand her vocal range so she doesn't sound like a chipmunk. Don't get me wrong, I love it but the singer can get slightly annoying after a few songs.
The guitarist was my guitar teacher in high school. Man was a beast, he got me into jazz
It's 2020 now and this is still refreshing...
2022 chiming in

Really interesting mix between rap punk and ska. Think it worked out amazing. And about her voice: Guess it's a case of 'love it or hate it'.

I was living in Stafford when we filmed this so we just used a local school.
The irony of this is me n my mate Owen used to listen to you guys and thisnis the High school we went too. He went to see you guys what seemed like every other weekend. I came to a few. Was so shocked when I watched this video n was like! Yo that's Eddie's!

I was there too, evert band that night was awesome
1:29 sounds exactly like the pitched up vocals from rap tracks used in 90s rave and breakbeat
great!
@mrtictac94 : yeah this song is actually about rage against the machine's song...amongst other things.
Weird question. Does this band remind anyone of Sadie Killer and The Suspects from Steven Universe?
Dan D Mann holy shit

I saw them in tunbridge wells they were outstanding How this band are not really famous is beyond me
I saw them yesterday live on a real big fish concert, they were great!
I love the people who cant handle the fact her voice is different. Yeah its a bit weird, but its unique and enjoyable and fits their sound. Would love to see them live.

BOOM!
Yeah man

@MinimoviesInc good point
Well...in song "Bigger than Punk Rock" they say "revolution is more than sound" so that may be another (indirect in this case) reference to RATM.
top tune :)
f-ing amazing band and vid !!!!!
@rannekh I'm gonna have to second that. Perfect opener for Zebrahead and Less Than Jake. I would go to see 'em again if I get a chance.
❤️
Oh, good one.
I like this english accent!

Would you believe me if I told you I met Leila? She came over to Hull to see my gig... Such an awesome girl.
Me bumping this on the fuckin school bus in 2011
Sonic Boom Six kicks so much ass! I love Laila's voice!
OMG these guys really get the crowed going they were supporting RBF
seen them supporting Reel Big Fish in Glasgow last night, they're fucking brilliant! ;)
Well it is referring to that song...
The kid the talk about in the song? They're saying he was singing it.
the girl has an anime voice lol
2022 🔥🔥🔥
woo nice song n___n!
Big D And The Kids table have ben added to the tour aswell!! :D
The singer is "okay" but she really needs to expand her vocal range so she doesn't sound like a chipmunk. Don't get me wrong, I love it but the singer can get slightly annoying after a few songs.

Lol, I fucking love Big D. I'm a huge fan of RBF, but I'm looking forward to seeing these guys and Big D more lmao.
Exactly the look I was going for. True story.
My new fav band?...yes...maybe so.
This video is filmed at The Hub in Trowbridge right??
saw you in graz this year with reel big fish, that was damn awesome! any chance you'll be playin here again?
is this supposed to be a play on that rage song? idk about what i think of them though
A cool mix of the King Blues & The Interrupters. Quality tune.
Ethanplays sb6 came before both
They played Blackpool rebellion, caught 3 or 4 songs, they were aight, this isn't a song I like though I must say, except when it sorts of kicks in.
these were SOO good at rock city!
Stafford? VA? which school? stafford high? I went to CFHS...doesn't look familiar.
@X0JustAddCoffee what's lazy town?
What is this, why did they play at Rebellion festival last year and why are they playing at Download is what I want to know
the song is about how he heard that song and it changed him and got him into the revolution
they listening to the other words in the song?
where's that in january?
I love 'em both.
like how the bassist's eyebrows move when he sings
I have to respectfully disagree - you take her out and it's just another new wave reggae sausage fest, she makes SB6's sound 100% unique.
if that's the being respectful and thought through id love to catch you on a normal day -.-"
dude I like her voice =\
@ImPrettyReckless14 awww you keep thinking that if it makes you happy :)
great show at zogrock!
@mrtictac94 pretty sure thats the point of the lyric o.0
