    I m usually a peat head, but after getting a bottle of glenfarclas15 it became my favourite whisky and since then i enjoy all kinds of whisky. Just got the 21 and its freaking delicious. The 15 is also perfection. It changes at every sip. Never had such an evolving complexity throughout a non peated whisky before.

    Nice. Glenfarclas makes good stuff. When you get to 46% ABV you don’t have to chill filter the whisky. More richness.

    I first discovered Glenfarclas on an Alaskan Airlines flight in business class last year. It was absolutely delightful for a 12 year and when I got home I purchased the 12, the 17 and the 25 year. The 17 is incredible but I didn't notice a huge difference between the 17 and the 25. I'm curious to see what you guys see as you do this drinkthrough.
    EDIT: I'm a little surprised that none of you chew the scotch. You should be swishing it side to side and front to back for at least 8-10 seconds or however many years the scotch is aged before swallowing. It helps spread throughout your palate and awaken the notes of the finish. Try it and see what you think.

    Wow, I can't believe that Glenfarclas is so expensive in the US. But the 15 is not 75 pounds in the UK, Dillon, maybe in a small shop. On the net its 40-45 Euro, I got the 17 for 43 Euro.
    The 21 (did a google quicksearch) is about or a bit above 80 Euro, the 25 about 110-120 Euro and the 105 (non 10y) around 35 Euro. The 105 is my favorite to pimp low proof peated Scotch ;) Try a (60 peated/40 sherry) blend of it with the 10y Talisker, Laphroaig or Ardbeg, you'll be blown away ;) Glenfarclas is reliably good and (at least in Europe) priced very low for the age of the spirit. And I like - as Dillon said - that its a family business, maybe the last amongst the big ones. Nice video, thanks guys! Cheers

    I watched + re-watched this Episode 3 times : you are spot on the range, but your notes on 15 an d17 are sublime ! ! My 15 in Canada is darker in colour, but the 17 is smokier / earthier / more powerful . . . age does mean a lot... great vid....

      I've got the Glenfarclas 12, 15, 17 and 25 in my lineup but I honestly don't notice enough of a difference between the 17 and 25 to justify the price increase. They're both fantastic but I doubt I get another Glenfarclas 25.

    Notice how the 70cl 15 year looks elegant in front of the 75cl lineup 😂 For just a 5cl jump, I feel the 75cl bottles dont look as good as the 70cl. Is it just me?

    Kudos to Dillion for raiding his stash and MCing this Farclas line up. Not having had them all side by side I hadn't realized just how diverse the flavor profiles are. It's sacrilegious, but, If you were to blend 2 or more of these together, which ones would you choose? I've found that a small amount of the 25 can really add character to a blend of other whiskys.

    So funny how so many people try to not use the word smooth. When in North America we all use it to describe drinks and we know exactly what it means. Saying “ it has less bite” somehow is more acceptable, gimme a break. Just say smooth like all the normal people and stop pandering to a bunch of booze snobs. Love your channel 👍🏽👍🏽

    Hi, nice shootout, just sub'd. By the way (just to sum it up) the 10 is the only one at 40 abv, the 15 is the only one at 46 abv, there is a 30 and a 40 both at 43 abv (not 46) and there is also a very difficult to find 105 that has a 22 yr age statement. Cheers

      @CuriosityPublic  3 года назад +2

      Not really. Very different flavor notes. The barley mash of scotch doesn't often taste very similar to bourbon, but there are a few brands that have similarities to bourbons -- a good one would be the Aberlour A'bunadh
