- Up-and-coming country band Little Big Town discusses what a thrill it is opening for rock legend John Mellencamp on the final leg of his Words and Music tour in the spring of 2006. Shortly after this tour ended, Mellencamp would ask Little Big Town to provide backing vocals on his "Freedom's Road" album.
