Thanks for the video Pan. A couple of years ago I owned an SUV with a lot of exterior plastic trim. I applied Gyeon Trim and was super pleased with the product. It gave the plastic such a great look and exceptional protection.
I use turtle wax flex seal. Occasionally I’ll reapply (6-8 months) and my 2021 mustang has no fading. It’s cheap, easy, works with matte and gloss, and it protects from minor scratches better than ceramic (it’s thicker)

How does this compare to Motoplast in the engine bay? Also, would you use this as a preventative on exterior plastics? Today marks 2 years ago that I discovered your channel...I'm so glad I did!!
Motorplast is just a basic light sealant dressing. Gyeon Trim EVO is a long lasting COATING. Big difference. The Gyeon Trim EVO will outlast Motorplast hands down. Welcome to my channel. Im so ready to try this product but i dont have an enclosed environment to use it. Down here in southern MS it will be a while before we get into that optimum temp range. Great video Pan. Love all your videos brother. Take care
If you apply it indoors, you only need 12 hours of curing, and you can drive the car in the rain after that. As long as you're in temperatures between 59F to 77F you're good to apply.
Love your vids Pan, quick question, how does this compare to Cerekote trim restorer? That's been a favorite of a lot of people for a while, but there's been some new trim products that have come out recently. It might be cool to do a head to head of Cerekote, Gyeon and maybe the DIY detail trim product they just released.
For restoring faded trim, both are fairly equal and top tier. But the Cerakote is only for faded oxidized trim. The Gyeon can be used both on faded and new trim, so it’s more versatile. It looks nice, me personally I am still a DLUX user on my engine plastic trims & covers (it gives a nice satin look) and Koch Chemie Mp for other motor parts.
Yes you can apply this on that black plastic trim. The other alternative, if the paint coating you are using can also be applied to plastics, you can use that.
Gyeon Trim EVO for sure. It’s also less messy hehe. I would use Solution Finish more for extreme cases of suuuuper oxidized trim. For any other situation, including new trim, Gyeon will last much longer.

Hi Pan! I think I remember in an old ceramic coating video that you said new car plastics (like paint) need to ‘gas out/breathe’ for a few months before applying a long term coating (like Capro DLUX for example). Would that apply to the Gyeon Trim coating as well?
You remembered wrong or are confused. A new car has its paint fully cured from the factory as the car bakes innindustrial ovens. Gassing out is completed. You can apply a coating as soon as you take delivery. The only time you have to wait 1-2 months before applying protection is on a freshly REPAINTED vehicle. As body shops don’t have the industrial ovens of car manufacturers.
Thanks Pan for the video! After watching your tutorial about engine bay cleaning, I started using Koch chemie Motorplast. How that compares to the Gyeon restorer? Would you advise using this if you have already Motorplast?
Motorplast is just a basic light sealant dressing. Meant for more regular maintenance. Gyeon Trim EVO is a long lasting COATING. Big difference. The Gyeon Trim EVO will outlast Motorplast hands down.
So glad you got to meet with these guys, Pan. I know this is a damn good restorer. I've previously used Cerakote on my faded exterior plastics. Do you think this could outperform it? Thanks man.
I HAVE A WOOL PAD QUESTIION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please help. im wondering if you personally rinse and clean for each wool pad per panel or do you dry clean each panel. also how many wool pads do you utilize when doing a paint correction.....not a foam pad question
Regardless which pad you use, it's always best practice to clean the pad after each section, either using a brush, or a pad washer. Also, many people like to use multiple pads for one car. So you can either: 1) Clean the pad with a pad washer after each panel, and keep using the same pad by cleaning it after each panel. 2) Use a new pad every other panel. You'll use multiple pads for one vehicle. See a recent video I made with polishing tips and tricks: ruclips.net/video/b9KDpKMmAi0/видео.htmlsi=vfRuJTNa2dJ3nfAp And my popular tutorial of paint correction for beginners here: ruclips.net/video/ustTEVGMOTI/видео.html
Usually the same pH neutral soap as in your wash bucket. Or if you want something with a bit more bite but can still be used weekly, something like Koch Chemie Active Foam is a good pick.
I don't understand your question. If you are asking if there will be a problem of the coating applied to plastics in the engine bay because of the high temperatures, the answer is no. Coatings have a capacity to resist to super high temperatures, much higher than what's in the engine bay, so it is of no concern.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for your reply. Have to say you’re so on top of your game in all aspects of the gamut. Just to clarify you use Bead Maker on INTERIOR trim? I use a mobile detailer for car washes however once in a while I hit my interior. I use all Carpros products and was thinking of getting InnerQD for the anti static properties. Is that ok for piano black interior trim? I did order Fabric 2.0 for the carpets.
Yes Bead Maker can be used as a quick interior protectant like gloss black trim, plastics, dash, etc. Multiple uses, kind of outside of the box thinking. InnerQD is one of my favourite interior quick detailers for sure.
Time will tell for durability, but both trim restorers are top tier. We'd be splitting hairs here, as both are super easy to apply, both have a nice darkening/rich effect on faded trim. But the advantage of the Gyeon Trim EVO is it can be applied on new plastics too (as shown in the demo) for long term protection. Cerakote Trim Restorer is made for old faded/oxidized trim only, not new trim.
@@shyamprakash007 Yes and No, that may be the case, but old plastic is already dead, it can only be well concealed with Gyeon TRIM. With new plastic you can also easily see whether Gyeon TRIM can withstand the demands of our current environment and actually protect the plastic. There are always 2 sides to the medal 😇

@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you so much! Misremembered that it was definitely about a repainted vehicle
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks Pan! All the best!
Any other trim cleaner options besides the Trim Cleaner? Simple green?
Any automotive APC will do.
So glad you got to meet with these guys, Pan. I know this is a damn good restorer. I've previously used Cerakote on my faded exterior plastics. Do you think this could outperform it? Thanks man.
Time will tell but both are top tier.
Can be apply with airbush gun?
You'd have to ask Gyeon.
So you can either:
1) Clean the pad with a pad washer after each panel, and keep using the same pad by cleaning it after each panel.
2) Use a new pad every other panel. You'll use multiple pads for one vehicle.

Silly question could or would this be used on door seals. Any benefit
Not on rubber.
@PanTheOrganizer copy thank you. Is there a rejuvenating product for them by chance
headlights are plastic... would you use it on headlights or use a different product?
Use the same coating as the one you use for paint.
Would also luked to have seen it compared to cerakote and any others side by side on something a little more faded or used. 😉
Hello Pan, what pre wash do you recommend for a weekly wash on a ceramic graphene coated vehicle?
Usually the same pH neutral soap as in your wash bucket. Or if you want something with a bit more bite but can still be used weekly, something like Koch Chemie Active Foam is a good pick.
Is there no problem with temperature
I don't understand your question. If you are asking if there will be a problem of the coating applied to plastics in the engine bay because of the high temperatures, the answer is no. Coatings have a capacity to resist to super high temperatures, much higher than what's in the engine bay, so it is of no concern.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks
How does this work with a faded window cow?
Works great on any exterior plastic surface.

Awesome video, Pan! Is it slick on running boards? Thank you for sharing. ❤
It shouldn't alter the feel of the surface, but always test on an inconspicuous area first.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you!!
Does anyone make a coating that will restore the colour of faded interior plastics?
Can this be used on carbon fiber engine bay? My car has a carbon fiber interior hood.
Good question. Perhaps @Gyeonusa will read this and reply.
@@PanTheOrganizer D’accord mer I du conseil…
Where can i get the gyeon trim cleaner? Its not Available for the us
I don’t think it’s available in the US just yet.
@@PanTheOrganizer ok hopefully soon
Pan what can I use on piano black trim and other interior surfaces? Thanks!
I typically apply Bead Maker on interior gloss black trim.
Great video Pan! Can you compare this to Cerakote Trim Restorer please? I used Cerakote on my exterior trim and it lasted well over 3 years.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you Pan, keep us updated please. (I used Cerakote on new trim 👍)
Do it on a old faded plastic trim
If you watch the beginning of the video you see what we did on faded trim. ;)
Could you treat a TT's roof with it? Curious...
? Can you be more precise with your question? If it's made in plastic, yes. But an Audi TT usually has a painted roof.
@@PanTheOrganizer Ha! I was referring to the rubber roofs of Travel Trailers.
This is not made for rubber.

No "paaaaaaan the organizer!"?
It will be back don't worry ;)
For that price I rather buy the cerakote product
$50 for one oz. wow!
The only downsite is that de 30ml(56euro) is to many for one vehicle.
If you have to trow half of it in the bin its expensive.

It’s of no use if you show the demo in a new vehicle 🤦🏻
Why not 🤨
@@oli7711 the best way is to show the difference ..that can be clearly shown in faded plastic ..not a new one
@@oli7711 This says restoration, not protectant
exactly! I use cerakote trim. It'll take ashy grey looking trim back to glossy black. I never get less than 3yrs of coverage.
👍
Would you use this on the hard plastics on the inside of your car? What would you use on wood trim?
This is only meant for exterior use.
