Such a good rendition by Voiceplay, always fun and entertaining. Had to laugh when you said, "There's Geoff.....being Geoff!" I'm running out of words to describe his amazing voice so 'being Geoff' is probably all the explanation needed! Thanks for the reaction guys! 🙂👍

The “Geoff” scream was the goat 🐐 scream meme. 🥰
So here are their names, top to bottom, left to right: Cesar De La Rosa, Ashley Diane, Eli (ELee) Jacobson, Geoff, and Layne Stein.
One of the Patreons says that Geoff did give a high-pitched scream when they were shooting, but Layne edited in a goat scream.

Such a fun one. The part where Geoff 'shapeshifts' into the blouse is hilarious. I finally sat down with my 7 year old to watch the film and really enjoyed it! Really enjoy their version of this song.
Great reaction!! Please keep the Voiceplay coming! Also, Geoff can scream high (Queen in 5 mins) and in the bts of this one (available on Patreon) Geoff did the scream himself but the guys decided that using the famous goat scream from vine was funnier

The man in the back with the dramatic facial expressions and the umbrella is their new baritone Cesar De la Rosa. He and Ashley went to school together at Full Sail university which specializes in media arts. (And previously you watched Hoist the Colours featuring with Jose Rosario Jr. He and Cesar went to high school together and performed together. )
He is the fun guy of the group these days giving Layne a run for his money in the crazy department.
This one was Layne’s arrangement. Whoever does the arrangement is also responsible for the video the video editing, basically the production, and the initial sound edits.
In the behind the scenes, Geoff does scream. It’s not quite that high but it is surprisingly high He does sing in the 4th octave from time to time (check out his cover of High and Dry where he sings high and low). I believe he can get up into the fifth octave (but doesn’t stay there long)
Originally they were going to have Cesar scream because he’s great at it but then they started laughing saying wouldn’t it be funny if we use that famous goat meme and the rest is history.
Actually, Cesar and Ashley are married in real life. :-)
PS: Other people, familiar with VP, told me the information is "not accurate". But I read it elsewhere, and checked it, and found a website where they were indicated as married. So I'm not sure. :-)

I wonder why the website I checked was giving such inaccurate information. It features a profile page for both artists, and they are consistently described as "husband" and "wife". :-(

That was the scream of a fainting goat dubbed in by Layne in post-production, though Geoff did scream in the original recording and he apparently did a fairly good one.
Ashley is a good friend of Cesar - both born in Puerto Rico - so has worked with VoicePlay since Cesar joined the group. Geoff can scream high, see Queen in Five Minutes or Blackbird, but no this wasn't him, Someone mentioned a goat, but in the behind the scenes video Cesar appared to be doing something too. VoicePlay always have fun, the play part of their name is very appropriate. Layne is the vocal percussion and Eli (aka little bald guy) the one with the rock voice.
Regarding the scream, Geoff asked Cesar to scream on his behalf because he finds Cesar's screams entertaining - Geoff then demonstrated his own scream, which Layne thought sounded a lot like a popular meme of a goat screaming, so they decided to add that instead 😁

I think they have broken their viewing record. Two weeks in and they have over a million views of this video. The top left Cesar middle Ashley top right is Eli. The bottom left Geoff and bottom-right Layne.
Still got a long ways to go to hit their record - their Moana medley is at 39 million views!!

On RUclips, there is a 6 second video of a 'screaming' goat......if you listen to it, although Geoff's scream is shorter, i think Layne worked it into the song for Geoff.......LOL.......>^^
No, this was not Geoff's scream but a "goat scream" edited in. However, to know how high he can go, you can check end of Grace Kelly performance of Toxic Audio.

What made me fall for Voiceplay is the little mermaid medley. Yes - Disney, Yes - theatrical BUT it is just amazing and all five artists truly shine.... and Geoff as Ursula makes parts in your body vibrate you never knew you had 🤯😂🥰😳🤯
They dubbed a baby goats yell in for Geoff's screen.

I've heard this song about a gazillion times in the last couple of weeks ( this is what happens when your 6 year old discovers the movie and knows how to navigate Disney+ LOL) and these guys did an amazing job with it! 👏 I really like Voiceplay. It's definitely a type of a capella that's cool to listen too. I think you need to watch them at the same time though, as if it was just audio I think it would lose something. As you said, if you heard it on the radio you would think it was the original, which isn't a bad thing, but for me would take away a bit of that 'wow' factor.
Frank Bruno? 😂 Been awhile since I heard that name. And I hope we get to see the three failed attempts at the intro to this video one day (along with any other outtakes). Love me some bloopers!

Oh yes, the "Play it again" request from the kids, We don't envy you on that, for me a couple of listens is OK but I could not do too many.
Have fun and I bet you are looking forward to the next Disney movie to come out very soon and hopefully a not so catchy tune with it.
Many people thought they should've done this on the Oscar's (the Oscar production was awful). Geoff does have an amazing range - he has a great rock tenor scream! (See Little Mermaid Medley and Queen in 5 Minutes)
Not sure if you're aware of the Broadway hit, Wicked, but Voice Play did a Medley which is totally amazing!

Awesome reaction, Ashley had to talk Geoff into wearing the same outfit as hers. The scream was not done by Geoff. Layne had Cesar try it then Geoff & it was a no go so he went with the screaming goat sound.
Good reaction video. If you haven't already don't them I would also suggest Friends on the other side and the little Mermaid medley for a couple more of their Disney covers
