No doubt they'll perform, no one argues that. But just being soulless like that just isn't going to cut it. Imagine all of my generation(1999) and the one after buying these cars and then our kids will be for electric because it's what they know.... Oh and I love my city of Pontiac being the location of the unveiling
The shifting bit is something that would def help me switch to an EV. The fake exhaust coming out of speakers, that seems a bit silly even though I love engine noises. I just hope these don't continue to star in most street takeovers and highspeed police pursuits.
“I think that anyone, after listening to the EV (electric) Charger, can tell the difference between a ‘fake’ and a real muscle,” he said. Zertuche said he didn’t want to disparage either the electric market or Dodge for their efforts, especially since electric vehicles fit well in high-emissions areas like large cities. And yet, he added, the loss of “real” Dodge muscle altogether is “very sad.” Green Market Dodge’s parent company, Stellantis, is in Europe and is responding to market demands there. But the company’s American child, Dodge, might be “killing its own brand off,” said Becker. “They’re going against what their customer base wants,” he said. “It’s still an electric car… It’s just not cool.” Stellantis is based in the Netherlands and is subject to the European Union’s environmental trading regulations. In 2020 alone, Stellantis company Fiat Chrysler paid electric-car maker Tesla about $362 million for green credits, according to CNBC. Green credits are part of a European Union trading system by which carbon-producing companies must exchange environmental credits for the right to generate carbon-dioxide. As an aside, if you have to add an exaust sound effect that means you know its wrong WITHOUT an exhaust sound. And its wrong without an exhaust note because you dont have a real engine making it. You have a golf cart. A recent demonstration by Dodge showed off a Charger that made noise just like a muscle car. Kuniskis, however, is a critic of his own company’s new car. “It doesn’t have the emotion,” he said, speaking of the electric cars. “It doesn’t have the drama. It doesn’t have the dangerous feeling” of an internal combustion engine.

Would have been impressed actually seeing it haul butt around a track or anywhere for that fact...
Lol this car came out like the undertaker🤣...
🤣😆🤣 you are so right. Love it. All we needed was the bell toll. Lol
That's the problem with car "enthusiasts". Nothing is ever good enough they've said for years they wanted a Supra. Then they complain when Toyota wants to share costs and development with the one of the only manufacturers that is still making inline sixes...
Then Toyota foolishly again listens to the comment section "we need a manual". They make a manual transmission and the cars are just sitting there at the dealership.
Don't blame the auto manufacturers for wanting to make money, blame the enthusiast for not showing up with their wallet.
OMG!!!!!!!! You literally yanked the words right out of my mouth. These people are never satisfied. This thing hasn’t even come out yet and they already complaining. Complaining over a CONCEPT!!!! SMH humans ……
Like any fanbase, car guys can be petty and tribal.
Frankly, I'm very curious to see where this concept goes. Fingers crossed that the body styling and 2 door setup stays, because it looks wicked.
@@Pacific_Spirit459 I hope it goes well too otherwise we will be living in crossovers. Once car companies determine that is seven seater minivan, brings them more profit. It'll be over for us regular car guys.
The entry level sports car at that point will be in base 911 territory at 100k+
@@silverindigo8302 exactly unless the car is 2000hp, with no part sharing, handcrafted bespoke engines, going around the ring in three minutes, million mile warranty 20year warranty and a sub 15K price tag. They will never be happy...
Even if that complete fantasy would come to life, there would still be somebody in the comment section talking about "15K no way I would only buy it for 10" 🤪
I like how this thing comes w bodyguards. Hope that option doesn’t cost too much. Also this definitely sounds like a vacuum 🤣 yall accurate for that
People in the crowd are probably disappointed by the sound 😂
They're holding their breath trying to keep from laughing.
@@jnicksnewstart i think the funniest part is dodge even attempting to make a fake exhaust noise because they know their fanbase are mostly overweight rednecks who need an engine noise of some sort to feel cool 😂 its like the equivalent of some old guy talking shit to you because coal driven steam engines sounded better to him 🤣🤣🤣
It looks like a top contender for future desirability . It looks Amazing , from the very first time I’m seeing it , and that’s a good sign for any new design . 👍🏻
I’d rather take a 60s muscle car, not this weak shit.
@@classiccarfanatic no one cares, boomer.
Yeah this thing sucks hard. I honestly don’t know what these people see in it.
@@boejiden1065 the torque and power of electric motors maybe
That EV sound needs some serious reworking…
Can't wait for Chevy and Ford to start copying this ideas
Y’all support this trash sad
How ?? Ford mach e already electric suv.
M-9000 crate ev motor the can be hooked to any transmission even manuals so you can do the silly revving shown here
Ford has a S650 coming out
I feel like it'll sound a lot better in person than over video lol
Yeah I thought the GT500 sounded like crap until I heard it in person lol
More big v8’s please
If this car was offered in a V8 it would cost less and out sell the battery car by 10 to 1.
I actually like the look of this. However, the fake exhaust is unnecessary and laughable.
I was hype for this until i realized it was a concept car it will look nothing like this
If anything it could look like this it’s a concept
Nothing about this car is unrealistic or unreasonable the production version will be very very similar
Same thing they said about the retro challenger concept in 2006, dodge delivered pretty good on that promise as 2017 scat shaker owner I have to agree....
Hummer ev was a concept to and it had almost no changes
@@tylermayes5340 that’s a different car and a different brand
Looks great, sounds like baby Simba from the Lion King
In response to 13:58 where he says "It's more chainsaw than cordless drill..."
You know what makes a chainsaw more visceral than a cordless drill? It's piston powered and not electric...
electric chainsaws are a thing bro
@@amicloud_yt 99% of people didn't picture electric chainsaws when he said that during the presentation
I actually love the way the engine sounds tbh 😂😂 it sounds futuristic like it should 😂
You know you’re crazy
@@DerrickFisher420 nah it sounds sickk
@@DerrickFisher420 nah it actually sounds dope…you car enthusiast are starting to sound like old heads who can’t move on
Agreed it sounds like a robotic cat, almost how a mountain lion/cougar roar
@@datkid12354 it's cool but the sound needs to go
Yea that sound ain’t it . Sounds like a super charged vacuum
@My Pronoun is WTF Its not a speaker you muppet. Its a chamber that amplifies the sound of the electric motor. Think of it as the hollow part of an acoustic guitar. Its a resonator.
Yea the Charger Hellcat 2020 sound better..
This is an electric car worth buying. It has style and cool. All you other electric car designers take note. If it has digital sound capability it can make any sound you like.
This is an electric built different. And I'm here for it. Awesome.
Sure Sure.. wait for the base price.. (start from 100.000 $)..
Finally a power packed EV that we can drive in public without being shot at by black vans and suits! I'll buy it
When no one is actually hyped in the crowd for this shitty car 🤣
Except the people and paid journalists that have to hype it lol
Kudos to Dodge. It’s hard to deny that consumer demand is shifting to EVs and this is Dodge adapting to that. This car does look pretty badass compared to some other available EV options out there, although I’m iffy on the sound. Plus, AWD and tons of cargo space? Pretty sweet imo!
Consumer demand is not shifting to EVs lol
Nobody is asking for electric cars bro, it’s the government pushing them.
@@DontEvenLiftBro electric vehicles were about 11% of all vehicles sold in 2021, before the insane gas prices of 2022. Give it a couple more years when more of the auto makers hop on board and then you’ll definitely notice a big shift.
He just admitted that they aren’t shifting…🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿. The government is pushing for the people to buy electric cars even though in the long run the consumer gets screwed cause of car repairs.
Only the hipsters and millennials want this ev bs the info structure not here to support RC cars 🚗
It’s time for dodge to rule the car world again
It never has...
I think you mean Peugeot.
That speaker on it with fake engine roar is hilarious 😆
The performance is going to be amazing but they should have went hybrid for practical reasons.
This is why I love Dodge. It’s more than just a boring car to them and they will change the game!!! Go Dodge!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to see the Challenger version?
I’d get one for sure…..if it’s less than $50k
I think it’s going to be closer to 80K
@@1941392 It will be more than that I bet.
What a delivery. Thumbs up.
Dodge guy: We won’t make electric cars!
Me: Yes you will
Dodge guy: We call it… eMuscle!
Me: Oh… in that case, it’s not electric
It sounds exactly like my wife vacuuming the house 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No doubt they'll perform, no one argues that. But just being soulless like that just isn't going to cut it. Honestly stellantis knows who the real market is and that's the people who WILL be in the market and no longer the ones that ARE in the market. Imagine all of my generation(1999) and the one after buying these cars and then our kids will be for electric because it's what they know.... Oh and I love my city of Pontiac being the location of the unveiling
Thhere may be some 2 stroke DFI motors on the way, i keep hearing about an I-6 2 stroker clean DFI engine like the rotax and achates power.
“Hi my name is Tim, and I destroyed Dodge.”
FINALLY an EV I would actually drive. No plans to get rid if my Challenger but I would add this one to the garage 😈
Nice i hope there is some 2 stroke v8 DFI options soon.
I was there rolling cigars 🔥 😎
The shifting bit is something that would def help me switch to an EV. The fake exhaust coming out of speakers, that seems a bit silly even though I love engine noises. I just hope these don't continue to star in most street takeovers and highspeed police pursuits.
Why switch to EV when you have V8?
Nah the question is. u got the money? 😂😂😂
The automotive equivalent of putting baseball cards in the spokes of your bicycle wheel to make it sound like a dirtbike.🤣
The eRUPT system gives me hope for a potential pseudo-manual ev car, even if slower.
To me it just sounds like something that can become a reliability...well...liability
An electric car can never be a muscle car
Boom 100k right there
I have one of these. It just sits in my closet most of the time but when the dust needs dusting, ill bring it out.
looks a 70s vibe with every single dodge i’ve seen, cool
Whoever choose that sound needs to be fired
“I think that anyone, after listening to the EV (electric) Charger, can tell the difference between a ‘fake’ and a real muscle,” he said.
Zertuche said he didn’t want to disparage either the electric market or Dodge for their efforts, especially since electric vehicles fit well in high-emissions areas like large cities.
And yet, he added, the loss of “real” Dodge muscle altogether is “very sad.”
Green Market
Dodge’s parent company, Stellantis, is in Europe and is responding to market demands there.
But the company’s American child, Dodge, might be “killing its own brand off,” said Becker.
“They’re going against what their customer base wants,” he said. “It’s still an electric car… It’s just not cool.”
Stellantis is based in the Netherlands and is subject to the European Union’s environmental trading regulations.
It doesn’t have the dangerous feeling” of an internal combustion engine.
idk about you but i think alot of people wouldnt be too peeved that they can pass on feeling a "dangerous feeling" from an internal combustion engine.
Yes, I too like a kid in the 50s can put a playing card in my bicycle spokes. Doesn't make it a motorcycle.
@@LGTheOneFreeMan yeah, but what if the bicycle is faster than that chopper
@@Remix2366 It's a fucking bicycle. What's being made fun of is the fact that, while they should be supposedly proud of this stunning and brave new transition, they feel that it's necessary to still pretend that its just like other, real cars on the road. "See, it still makes vroom vroom sounds!" If it's so wonderful why are they so insecure about it that they have to add an engine note?
People complaining about the sound are listening to the crappy speaker on their smartphone watching this.
Shut up and get a job so you can afford this beauty.
Awesome!
