The King would appoint a Kingsmen as a Sheriff of a particularly shire(jurisdiction) and the Sheriff's job was to enforce the laws of the land and keep the peace.The Sheriff also had the ability to deputize subjects to help him enforce the law as needed. In colonial America, the Governor would appoint the Sheriff instead of the King and eventually, when the USA federal government system was established, citizens of a county would usually vote for a Sheriff. Where as in England, the Sheriff and his deputies were primarily there to enforce court orders and capture outlaws. In the USA, the Slave Patrols, were primarily there to control, capture, and combat the enslaved populations(Black People).
Sheriffs are connected to the Moorish Empire that was taxing the hell outta a young America...which lead to the beginnings of the US Navy (shores of Tripoli) Barbary Wars.

For everyone one of those stories there is another. When I was in college I was arrested at gun point, forced to get on my knees, and locked up for the night cause the cops thought I was trespassing. When I was 17 a cop came to my work and arrested me cause they thought I broke in to a house my parents rent out and stole a gun. There was a cop when I was in high school that hated me and would search my car anytime they saw me. After all that I don’t fear cops. There are people out there in all professions that are jerks. What I didn’t do in all these circumstances is act like an ass. I didn’t fight the cops, I didn’t steal their taser or try to steal their gun. I didn’t even give the cop a reason to shoot me. If a cop beats you or does something that is not ethical guess what? They all wear cameras now and you can sue for a few million.

For everyone one of those stories there is another. When I was in college I was arrested at gun point, forced to get on my knees, and locked up for the night cause the cops thought I was trespassing. When I was 17 a cop came to my work and arrested me cause they thought I broke in to a house my parents rent out and stole a gun. There was a cop when I was in high school that hated me and would search my car anytime they saw me. After all that I don’t fear cops. There are people out there in all professions that are jerks. What I didn’t do in all these circumstances is act like an ass. I didn’t fight the cops, I didn’t steal their taser or try to steal their gun. I didn’t even give the cop a reason to shoot me. If a cop beats you or does something that is not ethical guess what? They all wear cameras now and you can sue for a few million.
