This title has issues Why black Americans don't move back to Africa... It's the same reason European Americans don't move back to Europe... 400 years later... We were all born here and this is all our country now...
Move BACK to Africa? I was born in Virginia and have never even visited the continent of Africa. How could I possibly move BACK to a place I've never even been to?
I'm an American born Ghanaian. I lived in Ghana for a few years and the overall opinion I heard from them about African Americans was love, compassion and admiration for how you've overcome such horrible circumstances. I say this to African American folks, Ghana really does welcome you back home.
Oh I know now that brother polite revealed the museum’s honoring black American heroes. I almost cried learning that we are celebrated in Ghana. Much love to my Ghanaian brothers and sisters.
C'mon black Americans. Come back home but please leave that snobbiness that america taught you at the door . West Africans are warm and familiar people. We will talk and interact with you like we knew you our whole life . So don't act all American and stand off ish . Jump in and engage .
Slavery was ENDEMIC in Africa over 700 years before the transatlantic cargo shipment even began from African slave markets, and at that time Africans and Arabs had been ravaging European shores for slave cargo. MILLIONS of white Europeans were taken by African and Arab slave traders. That's where the world slave comes from (Slav, Eastern European). 50% of Islamic Africa was enslaved by African rulers and their Islamic allies. To claim that African Americans went through horrors when their own home countries engaged in slaver for hundreds of years is a bit rich.
@@annaileka2181 Yes Egypt and Senegal are in Africa duh. Also at that point the conversation had shifted from relocating to Africa to relocating abroad in General. That's why Vlad mentioned both the African and non-African countries he's been to.
This guy is a deceiver or wholly ignorant. Why suggest Americans leave their own land?? We were here first! Is he in Russia? Bc the U.S. is not his homeland. Africa is being pillaged and overrun even today by the same corporate interests. Leave where and for what??
Death Lord... that's incorrect, of your lineage is African, you have a connection through your ancestors. No, not just those that were enslaved, I'm talking about your parents, their parents and their parents. Get your DNA done by African Ancestry.
I swear I used to defend him when people would call him a culture vulture but the ignorance in this video is staggering, the fact he doesn't understand the difference between being a refugee and being the descendant of slaves that you don't even know exactly where they came from is mind boggling, what language they spoke, what food they ate, god(s) they worshiped... I'm looking at him like wtf?! this is a guy who's constantly talking about all his friends being black smh
I know, the guy starts off by saying now I come from Jewish/Russian ancestry. And he doesn't even realize that he is able to identify his origin as far as a country and ethnic/religion. THAT'S SOMETHING BLACKS CAN'T DO!!! He thinks he can relate, but he can't.
We are not Africans... we are Americans who’ve been here for generations. Why flee? We’ve always fought to make America better. The reason other countries haven’t progressed, in some cases, is because their people flee whereas we stay and fight for change.

Justin Wilson, if Africa is like a brother/sister, we encourage you to invest in the motherland whenever would be a right decision for you before escaping the racist, USA 🇺🇸 as an African American.
Just because you never knew your brother, doesn't mean you can't visit just to see how they're doing. It's better to have some form of relationship rather than no relationship
For one, the correct answer Jemele is that we are "American" - We aren't immigrants like VLAD who "flee" from our home country to go be famous in someone elses homeland. He has a totally different perspective and story. he didn't build America. We did. Second; Why don't you ask every white American why don't they go back to Europe? We are all American for better or for worst. People only analyze and critique our story because its the worlds greatest Freedom struggle. And all these running immigrants and refugees come here in comfort and give commentary as to what they feel we should do. No, you should go back and fix your broken and dying country and keep quiet. Third: Why would i want to leave "my country" the one me and my ancestors built which is the most powerful country in the world to go to one of the countries in Africa? I've been three countries within the continent and those Africans "want to relocate to the United States"!! Just like Vlad! I'm not giving up my country so that someone else can come in a benefit. I'm American. ADOS. End of Story. Aint no going anywhere. The real question is why doesn't VLAD pack up and go help build and restore Russia? Unlike VLAD and is family,. ADOS "stays and fights for change" in "our home country" to make it better for us "and" immigrants "like VLAD and his family". But VLAD didn't even stick around to make Russia a place where we could relocate to and have better lives. He ran and he has zero plans on going back to Russia. Knock it off with the disrespect.

I don't agree that blacks should move back to Africa to this utopian unrealistic view, but I also don't believe that we should isolate our final home to America. We should go where opportunity presents itself and if Africa shows sustainability and promote high living conditions for all then it is okay. But if the governments are corrupt it does not matter how much money you make, it will only benefit the upper class and it is morally fruitless. I wholeheartedly agree with investing in companies that have a high ROI there, considering no corruption. In addition, I agree that the Nigerians should go back first to build up their country to European standards, they know their language and culture and are very affluent in Western society. ADOS should follow and invest in promising African companies but where the company has very stringent regulations on business practices. A trickle is okay, but just like gentrification in high-value cities (eg. NYC), too many of us will raise alarms.

@kweli05 Exactly. Even Akon, who spent a fair amount of his childhood made his wealth in America first, then went and invested in businesses in Africa. Humans are so capable of being deluded. Of course im not saying Racism doesn't happen, it does, but its the overall "Grass is greener" mentality that I see so often with a major over representation of racism. I guess it makes sense and its why I disregard it, and the religious.
I don’t think he means they are parallels, what he is trying to say is the old proverb “What men have done, men can do. “ meaning there were tougher conditions at times where people migrated from countries they love because the degradation of the people, not knowing the culture of the country they are fleeing to. He’s saying present day, why do black people have such an affinity for a country they feel oppresses them so much. Take a shot moving somewhere else, like immigrants from past decades did, and as a plus you don’t have to worry about the color issue as much it’s more of a socio economic, religion discrimination which is much less psychologically taxing.

Visiting and living in Africa are two different things. I have visited Africa (Ghana) several times, and did indeed felt relaxed and comfortable. However, I was on vacation and that's primarily why I felt that way. When I started going to build a home and thinking about doing business, that's when I realized I could not live there full time... too many disadvantages and inconveniences as compared to the States. I'll take my .00000001% chance of getting killed by the police in the USA rather than endure power outages through the week, bad infrastructure, superstition, mob "justice", lag time in technology, etc. on the Continent of Africa. America's problems don't seem to deter Africans from coming and wanting to leave for the States.

I went to school with two African lads and they told me Africans don't consider 'African-Americans' as real Africans. They used to tell me how in Africa, the African-American is despised because of their "double standards" and "victimhood complex". One of them, Ash, even said "they refer to everything as black culture, but know nothing about real black culture outside of America".
Ur African lads sounds jealous. Black Americans are their own ethnic groups. We are of African descent but not African. Many generations removed. We have our own culture and traditions that we created. Some black ancestors have been i the 🇺🇸 since before it was even a country. So us not being real African is true. We Americans of African descent.
It is an amazing experience to live in a country where everyone looks like you. It was a culture shock for me coming back to the US. I deeply miss my life in South Africa
I was going to ask the same question. I don't understand why some Africans move abroad and then complain about the differences between the US and their homeland or about how much they miss home. For Black Americans this can be very confusing and annoying. If it's so bad here and your country is so lovely then why not stay home in the first place? I'm honestly trying to understand
Fuck that, we need to start going back!!!!! Let the Europeans have this place, if we could get unified and organized it could happen but......sadly it probably won’t.
I went to Ghana in December last year. Was it the year of return or the year of $returns$ for the Ghanaian government. With over $2 billion dollars in revenue generated by visits from the diaspora alone....I hope they build a proper waste management facility. It was a spiritual experience seeing the slave castles and visiting the country. And I'm not trying to speak negatively. But I was treated like a walking dollar. I mean I get it, but I'm telling the truth. If I had the means to and a significant passive income I would live in South East Asia. Thailand, Cambodia Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia were my happy place. I want Africa to succeed and I support any Black family from America that wants to make that move to Africa. But make sure you can have a better overall standard of living than you did here in America. Here's a question. Why should us, Black Americans, have to leave America? Why doesn't America do the right thing? Jewish, Natives, and Asians received money from the US in a form of reparations. Billionaires received bail outs in the millions while the middle and lower class have received not even a fraction of this. Yet these people are forced to struggle and revitalize the economy. The money that would be given to these classes would only go back to the government. That's the cycle of spending. Black Americans made and built this country which was stolen from the natives and latin people. Why does everyone else get to stay and receive compensation yet we are asked why we don't relocate? Well, I just did my ancestry, found land allotments for the Freedman of the Creek Nation, but she also signed up for Choctaw by blood. In the research of the time line, my great grandmother people were Choctaw/ Chikasaw, who werw enslaved by the Creek Nation. They were classified as Colored Person's, because of the Colonial law. But as I continued to look on the record, no evidence of African descent. I asked the Europeans with the same last name; they say we were here when they got here. So I saw a different spelling in the name. Comes out that it's Nahuatl (Aztec) language. We have 320 acres in Oklahoma, but my cousins tried to get access to sale the land. They were very hostile towards the tribe. I tried and got my documents certified by a genealogy expert. So I have to join the tribe to get the land. On my dad side, same issue. Our indian women married black Portuguese. My great grandmother was listed as Colored for color of race, but her ethnicity was American. Was very confusing, but the genealogy research people put it together. She's a Uchie Indian. We are mixed, but the people who you choose to connect to is your choice. Certain genes skip certain people, and paternity is very different from ancestry test. Then to study colonial record's, which show White & Black Europeans as indentured servants on ship record's. Spanish record's, showing Indigenous American's being shipped out of America, to Europe and Africa is a definite game changer. The only Africans brought against their will, were the surrounding islands in the ocean of the coast of Africa, wich they were took to Spain. Then the thousands took from the Carib, to Spain, will blow your mind. Most people were moved around after they abolished over seas shipping of slaves. Most of the Africa Company, brought their slaves with them & the Egyptian cotton, which they worked for 7 yrs, then got land & repeated the same thing as what they went through. But going to Africa, was 1st invented by the Colonization Society, to ship free persons of color to Africa, so the newly freed people wouldn't act as free. Their were 1.5 million free person person's of color before the Emancipation Proclamation. The Black Europeans lost their home & want to help the white European take our home, will shake the lies that we have been told. Nothing has separated, just submerged under water; we still connected under water still today, with imaginary borders. But as long as no one will actually step outside the comfort zone to read the actual record's, they will continue to repeat the lies that we have been taught in public compulsory school.

Customs from Africa are portrayed in the U.S. and people of color want to to live it and in the way of ancestors in Africa, like hair styles, clothing, slang language etc. So why wouldnt they WANT to go to Africa and reclaim it. Make it better. Make it theirs again. Power in numbers can make a change. All of America was not built on slavery. The wild west was tamed by ALL. I think its comfort these people languish in. They'd rather stay here than go to where their original roots are and make it theirs as it is. It would be great to see Africa bounce back from its problems by the wealth, and change making ideas african americans can bring their, to the table.

Why should we move back to africa when our people shed blood, sweat and tears to build up america? Also africa is poor because they took our resources like gold, diamond, silver, copper, iron, natural gas, oil, uranium ect. So it takes a lot of nerve for them to say go back to africa knowing the destruction they caused on the continent.

Black American and black British people, hear me when I say you can have both. Do not leave what you spent hundreds of years building. Having lived in a few countries in Africa and also experienced life as a black American in the USA, I will say that a lot of black Americans have this bizarre hatred of Africans (and admittedly some Africans hate AAs as well), and all that hate from both sides is grounded in ignorance. Africans we’re getting oppressed in Africa during the slave trade and beyond (there were civil rights movements similar to what MLK organized in countries like Ghana). Apartheid did not end in South Africa till the 90s. Yet many AAs I have met think Africans were just partying while other blacks were being kidnapped into slavery. Yes the experiences of slavery were traumatic but we ALL suffered, and are still suffering for colonialism, imperialism and the slave trade (trust me your American life with all the civil rights issues happening today does not even remotely compare to the trauma people in places like the Congo experienced due to racism and exploitation, and are still dealing with till this day). Its sad the “mob” masses on both sides cannot just educate themselves about each other and let love and healing reign. It’s not that hard to educate yourself in todays digital age. You don’t have to be ignorant. Watch educational videos. Read books. There are tons of great books on African and African American history out there. And a lot of them are FREE. Stop following popular opinion think for yourself.
It's really the Africans who hate African Americans. They call us accata and are envious of our opportunities here. They come to America and join in on stereotyping black Americans , it is not all peaches and cream

Wish people would stop pushing this false narrative that Africa is so welcoming to black Americans. If you're a celebrity or rich sure, but they don't want your average American coming there. Black Americans need to build a strong economy and get it right in America first, then we can discuss going back to Africa 🤷🏾♂️
The reason Africans aren't fond of Africans Americans is because you find the language funny, you find our names funny, you find our culture funny Majority make us feel like a joke and you all do that stereotypical African accent and often think we aren't very bright
@6:58 I used to think like that until I got comfortable in my own skin and when I realize that most of my problems come from people that look just like me. Bump that.✌🏾🚶🏾♂️
My problem with videos like this is they are always asking a complicated question to people who don’t think far enough to not call Africa a country. It has nothing to do with the connection to Africa or not knowing if we will make money. Black Americans who have dealt with a lot of Africans know that a large portion of them do not look at us as equals. To the point where you can look up what they say to their kids about even being in relationships with us. Every country and race finds a way to sh** on Black Americans, even countries in Africa. The reason we font go “to” Africa, is because we were a big part of building this country. Why would we leave after that? America was fighting for its own freedom at one point and wrote itself into a corner regarding equality of people. We helped build the system here and fought for the civil rights that a lot of foreigners enjoy here now. I am not going into the unknown because because people are being mean to me. This country is easy to navigate... learn to speak the language of business, learn to control your emotions, learn what true responsibility means, and take advice from elders. You will be fine. Every other race is expanding even into Africa and we are still being asked why we don’t go back... please go fornicate with yourself, asking a question like this. “Oh everyone else is expanding, you should go “back” to a place you’ve never been and cry about it” at least until China owns the entire continent.
No no no it's the option that's the point look at it every other race can come and go back and forth to there places to me why shouldn't we be able to do it ourselves and fill the gap between
I hate for people to call Africa a country. IT IS A CONTINENT with many countries. Even here in American people don't realize that America is a country within the CONTINENT of North America. Canada, Mexico are part of this CONTINENT! THERE AROUND 23 COUNTRIES IN N. AMERICA! AMERICANS NEED TO DO MORE STUDYING...MORE RESEARCH. THEY WOULD BE SURPRISE AT WHAT THEY LEARN!
I recently moved to a country on the continent. I can speak from first hand knowledge. The majority of the people are very patriotic towards their original colonizer France. They acknowledge themselves as French over being African. Yes, they recognize elements of their heritage much pride but it is still interesting to see. They are not too keen on "African Americans" or foreign blacks. This is my and others experience that I know who have moved here. However, as with the global seasoning they favor whiteness. I and others are often referred to as Ugandans or Kenyans not as a term of endearment but rather as an insult. I guess we don't have the same features so to the people we encounter we just black. Additionally, while the structural set up is representative of the people. Most of the country is powered by Chinese funding. There is also, still a heavy foot print of the French's presence eventhough it appears that during their rule no infrastructure or globalization factors for economic longterm development was ever established. Yet they are highly respected. Also, very interesting to see. I like the peace of the country despite poverty being a prevalent factor. I want to do more but my voice and money is not as attractive based on what I look like.

Slavery was ENDEMIC in Africa over 700 years before the transatlantic cargo shipment even began from African slave markets, and at that time Africans and Arabs had been ravaging European shores for slave cargo. MILLIONS of white Europeans were taken by African and Arab slave traders.

This is just another way of getting the same result. The most powerful nation is that way due to the people that live here. When will we all wake up and stop allowing these officials to control and dictate our lives?

We’re not from Africa.
Then where are we from your perspective?
I think majority of African Americans will have African ancestry, thats were darker skins humans with coily hair originate from. Obviously not everyone who’s brown or black ancestry wise may be from there but majority wise it’s the case
I'm American Indian and ill tell you now black ppl are not from these exactly like white ppl aren't

Exactly, can't tell them that though.
it's like they don't know colonialism existed
It's really the Africans who hate African Americans. They call us accata and are envious of our opportunities here. They come to America and join in on stereotyping black Americans , it is not all peaches and cream
Their ancestors opended the door for slavery and colonialism because they were greedy.
They weren't partying, they were selling rival tribes that they had conquered.
“Go back home?” Uh we are home.
🤣
Facts.. the fk VLAD talking about? He need to go back home and STFU...lol
@@wallaceisking omm most niggas thats labled " Black" or ""African Americans"" are really Native Americans. I got my Indian card to prove it believe 80% of black folks are Cherokee Indian
So we gone just forget that africa sold our ancestors in the slave trade for guns and that's the reason we over here.
FACTS!!! West Africa countries like Ghana and Benin owe us reparations just like the United States! fk they mean "go back".. im American baby.. through and through and 98% of them would trade places with us in a milisecond.. just like VLAD!! He ass came here too..lol
How do I leave the country my ancestors built????
From slavery, to share cropping, to Jim Crowe, to MOVE my people are this country
And with the exception of descendants of the orginal English colonists, We are the only ones who can make that claim.
A plane or ship.

Black people can’t go back…they have to just move to Africa. They can’t go back, because they’ve never been there.
If there was ever a place indicative of spring forth a powerful black nation, the resource rich and potentially very powerful continent of Africa would be the sweeping candidate without the slightest doubt. Marcus Garvey's dream must come to fruition at last. There is no place like home where the black man and woman is majority. ❤️🖤💚🌍

Carl For President Anthony . See YT, Copper coloured indigenous aborigines, Millions of Black People living in North America for thousands of years & traded with Africa, before (Native Indians from Asia) & (Europeans) Arrived. Only 5% of Black Slaves came from Africa & most African countries don't have stories of Europeans taking Slaves. Very interesting.

The reason Africans aren't fond of Africans Americans is because you find the language funny, you find our names funny, you find our culture funny
Majority make us feel like a joke and you all do that stereotypical African accent and often think we aren't very bright
We don't even pay celebrities no mind here
Africa is the only safe place for black people
@6:58 I used to think like that until I got comfortable in my own skin and when I realize that most of my problems come from people that look just like me.
Why are you fighting it so hard? Give it a try.
I really wanna go to africa but the fear of being looked down upon is what stops me

Yeah just confirmed what I always thought of the French speaking Africans.

Sean why would african Americans go back to afrjca
Firstly, Africa needs to sort out its issues first before asking its lost children to return. I am definitely for African-Americans returning to Africa but not to go back to struggle. That said, how can the descendants of slaves who built America leave the country their ancestors toiled and died for.
Just generally move back to a continent😂. That's like a German guy saying "I'm gonna move back to Europe" ending up in Ireland or something🤣
