      If you set up a node, lets say with rasp pi and my node... and leave it running.. can it be accesed and used from multiple geographical locations simultaneously? Like for a business and you need multiple people using the port... or if they are far away will they need to set up their own node? Ive heard of people having issues accessing the node from different networks

    Thanks for the video, I tried enabling Electrum on myNode about 60 hours ago and it's still running slow with no end in sight. Is this normal, how long does it normally take to enable Electrum server and if it's not, should I try rebooting via SSH (if I can get to it)?

    I couldn't find this setting in my Mycelium wallet, must be not ready yet.
    is it all about LAN IP? for Mobile wallets it won't work as soon as you step outside of your home WiFi. If you were teaching us to point mobile wallet to our public IP, then we need to talk about port forwarding and home router setup.

    I recently set up, synced MyNode, tunes all on expect LND. Connected bluewallet and wasabi to MyNode as per your freaking amazing video (THANK YOU!) it says connected in green in bluewallet but when I make a transaction from one wallet to another in bluewallet it gives me an error “not enough in balance try sending less”. Bring fee way down: same. Default back to bluewallet node server and transaction is fine. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for all your awesome video and the hard work you do

    Hi, Which .onion address did you use for Green for the spv? Did you use the electrum server .onion or the Bitcoin API (REST) onion address?
    Neither seem to work when trying to make an spv connection.
    Thanks

    As always, great content. Greetings from Germany. What happens if the hardware get stolen?

    • @mojodojo8041
      @mojodojo8041 4 года назад

      you should have a backup!! Do it now if you don't have one. Look for mnemonic seed

    • @mojodojo8041
      @mojodojo8041 4 года назад

      @P C right. I understood robin's question as "what happens if the hardware *wallet* gets stolen". Re-reeding it, I figured he was talking of the node's hardware.
      To aswer your question:
      If the node hardware get stolen, its not a problem, as neither your coins nor your privacy is compromised if someone gets hold of your node.
      No backup of the node is needed.

    • @mojodojo8041
      @mojodojo8041 4 года назад +1

      @P C yes correct.
      A "node backup" is not necessary because the info that is on the node is not personal. Its just a copy of the blockchain and there are already thousands of them on the web, which you can duplicate anytime.
      You use your own node to make sure that what your wallet sees is the true updated version of the blockchain (so you don't trust anyone to tell you what the state of the network and what your balance are) AND in order not to give away your public key, which tells what your balance is.
      If you don't use your node, you give your xpub (pub key) to another node and the person behind the node may link your IP to you xpub (privacy loss!!!)
      Xpub is an important concept

    Ty for vid and info.
    It's probably a silly question but can you connect either a *Trezor or a Ledger*
    I simply ask as they are by far the most used across the globe for cold storage.

    • @BTCSessions
      @BTCSessions  4 года назад +2

      Yup you can use those wallets with Wasabi and Electrum. You can also use them with Green, depending on the type of phone and device you have.
      If the wallet client you use is already referencing your own node, then any connected hardware wallet will do the same by default.

    • @ronburgandy1475

      @@BTCSessions thanks so much for the info!
      I'm a retard when it comes to cold storage. But have these wallets.
      So to confirm I get it. You are saying
      Ledger>Electrum>node ?
      > = Connect
      😀
      Sorry treat me like a 5 year old! I really want to run my own node because of your other vid, just still confused how it would directly connect instead of going through their apps/Trezor site etc...

    Great video. Thank you so much. Tried to connect Electrum Wallet (PC) to myNode. Would not work with the instructions given because I had TOR enabled on myNode. I resolved this by activating Tor as Proxy using SOCKS5, localhost and port 9050. Then it worked and the button below right turned blue. I guess that's a good thing now? Blue better than Green?

      Oh yes it's a tad hard to find. Instead of hitting "log in" when you first open the app, hit the little down arrow where it says "Bitcoin". You should see a toggle switch you can hit that says "log in with tor".
