I remember him handing me The Black Parade and telling me it was the best album he'd heard since Appetite for Destruction. That was me after that. I became an emo overnight. Dyed my hair jet black and lived this album for the next 2 years of my High School years. Some of the happinest years of my life. It was the first time in my life I had an identify of my own. This band will forever have a special place in my heart 🖤

literally me (if their concert is still going ahead in june). I didn't get into MCR until 2016/2017 after I was challenged by my best friend to listen to some of the bands she liked (in an attempt to get me to like some of her faves). Didn't really care for some of her other faves, but I listened to a few of her fave my chem songs that she recommended and enjoyed them... (prior to this, I was only familiar with WTBP growing up cause I didn't really care for their music when I was younger but always took a secret pleasure in WTBP when it came on, on the music channel!) Anyway, left it for a few months and decided to revisit some of their songs in my own time that my best friend had showed me and ended up finding and listening to their whole discography and completely fell in love. Was incredibly upset these past few years thinking i'd never see them live (my best friend saw them in our hometown during the DD era and likes to occasionally taunt me!) and i'm super super happy that they reunited and that I currently have tickets to their tour

the crazy thing is there will be people getting into mcr now that’ll actually experience them first hand. because for so many years people fell in love with a band that no longer existed.
literally me (if their concert is still going ahead in june). I didn't get into MCR until 2016/2017 after I was challenged by my best friend to listen to some of the bands she liked (in an attempt to get me to like some of her faves). Didn't really care for some of her other faves, but I listened to a few of her fave my chem songs that she recommended and enjoyed them... (prior to this, I was only familiar with WTBP growing up cause I didn't really care for their music when I was younger but always took a secret pleasure in WTBP when it came on, on the music channel!) Anyway, left it for a few months and decided to revisit some of their songs in my own time that my best friend had showed me and ended up finding and listening to their whole discography and completely fell in love. Was incredibly upset these past few years thinking i'd never see them live (my best friend saw them in our hometown during the DD era and likes to occasionally taunt me!) and i'm super super happy that they reunited and that I currently have tickets to their tour
good news for them. MCR is back!!!
