I have Korg pa 1000 and I’m trying to connect my tascam to it so I could use the internal speakers of the Korg instead of buying a speaker any idea on how to get that going?
Does the avp1 have a more extreme tuning effect compared to the ta1vp autotune ? Feel like the new version of Antares (9) doesn’t give us a noticeable robot effect.... downer imo. Sounds kinda ugly unless it’s manually tuned and then added again....
It is very difficult to say as these items have been discontinued for many years. The Antares AVP1's real-time pitch correction was outstanding back in 2002, for sure. The AVP1 also sold for nearly twice the price of Tascam's TA-1VP. Note: The TASCAM TA-1VP vocal processor was co-developed with Antares Audio Technologies to bring together everything you need for a polished, modern vocal sound, in the studio or live. As we are unable to audition these items side-by-side, I would think it is safe to assume that the Tascam's auto-tune function is more refined than the earlier Antares unit as it was released nearly a decade later. >Mark
Its the EVO algorithm which came before 7, so its basically the classic autotune sound. For some reason the autotune doesnt work well with the inline mode, you get that weird distorted sound like on the intro😅 but with the direct mic mode it works perfectly.
+William Fletcher (Chill Will) This rack-mount unit includes a microphone preamp, compressor, de-esser, microphone and tube modeling, and pitch correction processing. >Mark

Sure! Be aware that it is desirable to input a clean, uncompressed or un-companded mic signal. Also, please note that this item has been discontinued and is no longer available. >Mark
@@BandH - Thank you, that's what I thought. I left my TC-Helicon VoiceWorks Harmony FX Voice Processor in the States when I moved to NZ (over a decade ago), and I miss it.
Great unit. Not so great vocal demonstration. If I was your little boy I would tease you for the sound of your voice in the years to come. A woman's voice should've been used to demonstrate the tonal qualities.
Which would you recommend , the Atares vp1 with the electronic m350 or the TC Helicon Voicelive rack
I hope the gate on the Tascam unit is more transparent and subtle than the one you used on the vocals for this review. Quite harsh......
"...it does this QUITE well"...if only product sellers were always this honest.
Is "star wars, again and again" an actual song?

The de-esser didn't work. I still heard the strong s on the first word you said. It sounded the same as when the de-esser was off.
Damitt but he scared the crap out of me at the start of this. I thought he was having a stroke! 😂

Connect the 2 x 1/4" TRS phone outputs from the Tascam to the Line (Left/Right): 2 x 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack Inputs of the KORG. >Mark
