You're a great representation of the diversity of our community that is, ironically, similar to the diversity of the straight community. It's refreshing to see a couple depicted in a real-world setting as opposed to a gay pride setting, the standard way in which our community is generally shown to the world. Wishing you all the best in your relationship!
Thanks SBS2.......Terrific story.....Two Aussie Cowboys lovingly living and working together, very inspirational. I've had the extreme pleasure of traveling throughout New South Wales and Northern Queensland myself. Wish I would had run into these guys! From cowboy country in Phoenix, Arizona..... Cheers Mates.
so much respect and admiration for the both of you. wish you much happiness and joy through out your journey. (Don't worry about the fights/arguments) we all do it with are partners, if you have love in your heart, it will all work out.
What a nice video. The landscape of the area they live in looks beautiful. This video really made me smile, I lived on a farm when I was a kid so its kinda heartwarming seeing two guys that seem really nice living so happy, doing well, and as cowboys. I hope they are happy together a long long time.
These guys illustrate something that many people (including gays) forget or don't even know... that some of the more bizarre or eccentric aspects of the gay subculture are not due to homosexuality per se. Yes,there is a relationship -- but the relationship is more sociological than biological. Homosexuals do not pop out of the womb, snap their fingers, and say in a nasally voice, "You go, girl!" That kind of behavior is learned. If it wasn't for the isolation of many gays by the greater culture and its often bigoted assumptions, gays would probably be indistinguishable.
Love it, guys, looking back after being with my partner for over 26 years now, I think it's something that could have worked for us, farming, the animals, the gardening. Trouble was we were both once married to woman and have five children and five grandsons between us. Maybe in another life time. Good luck to you both!
A very nice introduction to the rural lifestyle of a gay couple! My Father grew up with horses and cattle on a farm in Illinois, but I have no idea how to even ride a horse. The hills they live in remind me of the Appalachian Mountains.
This is a lovely film and they're adorable guys, but the think it appears they cannot do as gay cowboys is exhibit affection like straight couples. Our day will come.
hey, if you, the couple, read this.....i saw this little movie and i am really impressed and interested.....i would love to get in mail-contact with you.....if you also want, please tell me here and than i will send my adress. Kind regards from germany!!! btw: we are also a couple, 10 years together now :-)
So adorable and so sweet guys! You two should consider opening up a bed & breakfast up there for us city folks to visit, but just don't ask me to do any farm work. My city bones are brittle!
ENVY ENVY ENVY ENVY. You be kind to each other and look after those horses, ENVY ENVY ENVY ENVY. Beautiful post. That'll put me in a shit mood for the rest of the day.
My partner and, I run a small farm in N. Ca. high in the Sierras far from city life and, going on to 20yrs now.
Hard work made easier with the man you love. Can't get more romantic than that!
Ahhhh they are so beautiful and so is the place they live.
Thank you so much I'm gay and I work on a ranch and I'm a cowboy every thing he said I have done thank you
This is alright. Rural life with big animals is not easy but these two guys have it figured out. I wish them a healthy future together.

I like this. Breaking stereotypes IS the new gay reality. We don't all fit in the little boxes that people tend to create for us.
The sweetest thing in a very long while.

Oh wow, this is so cool - I knew Daniel 14 years ago when I was traveling in Australia. Such a nice, down to earth guy. :-)
Great doco. No politics, just a great piece about life on the land with a couple who just happen to be gay. Great storytelling.

I am so glad you posted this clip. It's good to see people being themselves and not acting a certain way. You define your own normal. Good on ya:)
