Today, July 2nd, is the 1-year Anniversary of the release of "All-American Boy," I want to thank everyone who made this video possible, and I want to thank anyone who ever shared this video, or even just watched it. It is only because of YOU any of this has been possible. I will never forget this incredible year as long as I live. Thank you so much! Now get ready for my next single which will be out in August, and my full length album, which should be out in September! Working hard to make it happen every single day!
I'm sure this will get lost among the literally thousands of other comments, but I need to say it anyway: The best thing about the storyline here is that after clearing up the miscues the str8 guy wants to stay friends.
I agree with you. The song is song beautifully too. The world would be surprised how many girl friendships go through this and remain friends for life. Should be normal for boy friendships too.
I'm as straight guy who grew up country and western, had a lot of friends and some turned out to be gay. Something like this happened to me and honestly it didn't bother me a bit. I thought about it and took it as a complement. We are still friends and I have a lot of respect for my friend. Its not easy for country people to come out, its worse when they try and get treated like there is something wrong with them. Blessings to all and live / love who you like. We are blessed when love finds us.
Dang you straight guys! You are the curse for us gay boys. I fell in love with a straight friend who's girlfriend treated him like shit, if he would have given me the chance, I would have treated him like gold.
Love your video and music! I'm a brand new fan....and a gay man who knows the sweet pain of unrequited love. It is hard to fall in love when that love is not returned. Keep on making music....it is cathartic.
AlphabetBailey actually just a simple case of wanting what is out of reach - heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual doesn't matter.... it's a universal thing.
Steve, I'm a grown man, who has in my many years, been married and have kids. I love this song because it reflects what I went through my entire life, admiring and loving another man from afar but so afraid to do or say anything about it. For many years, I've lived this lie and if not for the fact that I am at work, I would probably cry after watching such a touching and beautiful song and video. I hope that you have found your "All-American boy/man" and truly happy and wish you nothing but continuous success. Yours truly from one who was too afraid to take the path that you have!

Soo you’re still in the closet? Its must be hard to live this life
I can imagine how difficult it must be for you, still, I hope you’ll be able to live a life that will make you happier. It’s never too late to make changes, even if it’s hard, don’t forget that!
Hi Eric, i know this comment was posted 6 years ago but i hope that wherever you are you are happy and living as your true self. our time on this earth is so short and so precious.
Eric Brownwell: your comment is so poignant, sad & beautiful all at the same time. Here's to EVERYONE finding their very own "All American Boy"/ "All American Girl".
I'm not even gay and this song got to me. The message was pretty powerful, especially the video. What I liked about the video was that even though his friend wasn't gay, he didn't hit him or ridicule him when he kissed him. He let him down easily without humiliating him. I'm glad people are starting to act that way.
This song still hits me even almost 10 years later. I have yet to hear another song that speaks so well to part of the experience that is growing up gay in rural/small-town America. I thought of this song when my husband and I had our country wedding 7 years ago.
Steve Grand has it all...he's handsome as hell, masculine, and has a great, great voice. I've downloaded so many of his songs onto my iPhone so I can listen to them when I go running. Thank you, Steve! You are awesome!!
This song makes me always cry. The only time I fell in love, it was not reciprocated. Now I'm almost 30 years, and I don't know if someday I have the opportunity to have a partner who loves and whom to love.
I am, finally seeing, that a boy in the south, proud of his heritage, and honest and true, and gay, can become, a door for others like me to find acceptance.
Seems we might have a difference in definition of "South", as I have noticed, many Chigago'ins have relocated to my hometown, Oxford Mississippi, so, well, where did the line exist if ever it did?
7 years ago I discovered this song, I was in the closet, it really helped me to accept myself and be proud of who I am. As a 23 year old gay guy I can say, I love me.
Hey and that’s all the matters starting for loving yourself the way you’re and then someone come to bring you love 💕 always be with open arms doesn’t matter if last longer or it’s for as long you may live take the chances for love. Glad you find yourself a very young age. In my case toke me years and years to come out specially living in a very religious close mind country but here I’m living my life at the greatest and I’m pretty sure you’ll do’t great as well so much bless kisses 😘 and hugs 🤗 to you brother 😊
I was born and raised in a rural community in southern Minnesota. I kind of wish I had more role models like Steve Grand, when I was coming-of-age, to emulate and live the country or rural values. Thank you, Steve, for being that wonderful role model; for men and women who are realizing that they're gay; in a world that gives LGBTQ youth mixed messages more often than not.
Falling in love with straights. Resume of my life. edit: anyways found out she wasn't straight she just didn't like me lol edit²: SHE'S DATING MY BEST FRIEND WHAT THE FUCK
I've just known this song in October 2023, but I can't stop playing this earworm. Wow! I've played it ten times over today. Steve! Thank you for this song
I've watched this video and it made me cry a little. I'm going through this right now and it's painful to watch someone you love be with someone else. That video just made it hurt all over, love it though!
I hope you're well Jason. I just found this vid and OMG! He is AMAZING! I hope you will be able to use your pain as a motivation to move on to be strong and find the true love made just for you. Peace.
Yes it's very painful it happened to me a few times my ex left me for a woman bc he claimed his heart truly belongs to her and one guy I wanted to ask out got a girlfriend it's very heartbreaking and it's not fair
I have a straight friend who I've known all my life. He's 25. I'm 23. A long time ago he came over to my birthday party. I was turning 8 yrs old. (He was 10) He stayed the night and we ended up cuddling and then after that we ended up cuddling for a little while every time we hung out together. (for about a year or 2) Afterwards we stopped cause he told me he thought we were too old to do that lol. (I was a bit upset cuz i had a little crush on him lol) I came out to him when I was 19 and he was really supportive but never told him that I had a crush on him or that I had feelings for him at one point. I honestly did try to ask him if he remembered us cuddling but I didn't wanna freak him out since he's already supportive so I just let it go but now we work together and he has a 2 yr old. Were both single still best friends and that's ok ❤ I'll always care for him.
sounds u r really lucky. A bosom friend, some wise person says, is always someone whom u had a crush on or who has a crush on u. But eventually u choose to be safe and forget that phase.
ืNice comment Lucas Allen I agree with you, I am so happy I discovered this video music too, I really like it. Steve you are Inspiration Thank you so much, cuz you openly who you are made many people keep to one self got support don't feel lonely.
KOWIT KITNUKOOL ^i agree with what he said. Thank you for making a video and song like this. So many people have been waiting for actually relate to a song like this. Thank you again Steve Grand!!
My heart breaks every time I watch this! Every gay guy has experienced this, a crush on his friend, a girl friend who's not appreciative enough and the rejection once they know. Steve Grand, you a Godsend! Thanks for this!
Steve Grand's first video. I love the line "But his eyes are holding me, just a captive to his wonder..." It gets me every time! Thank you Steve for this incredible song and video!
Just coming up with this song from 2013, and all of my college memory is flashing back... Still weeping like a child when listening to it again now. Greetings from Taiwan :)
This song reminds me of my life growing up in near Knoxville Tenn. I was so deep in the closet back then (1998) and a huge Red-neck farm boy. I was in love with our schools QB and I was the RB and we were at a huge bon-fire for Home-coming party at my parents farm. Damn he was so beautiful we were so shit faced , he asked me to help him get some beer out of his truck which thrilled me. I loved his smile and dimples and his Joy dog food hat turned backwards we were standing and then Shania Twains song Your still the one come on . I went for it and kissed him and he kissed me back and then some. We dated secretly for my Junior and Senior year of high school. I was in love , he was bi and would not come out. I came out in College and have never looked back. It was heart breaking to leave him but I could not deal with having a beard(GF) so his Dad and brother would not kill him they were crazy. He did come out about 6 year ago finally I heard but you never get over your first love it still hurts to this day.
Omg this is my history! I fell in love with my best friend when i was 12 and we kissed on my 15th birthday party. Now we dont talk to each other and he has a girlfriend
I was a little older than my friend 'Mike' and he was the sexiest, star, athlete, in his class, so I gave him a lift after practice. Over a three year period I fell head over heels. Yes, He cared deeply...he was just straight, and the big man on campus. A few days after his high school graduation he turned and said, "You know you aren't my girlfriend!" and I got up and left. Its been 32 years and have never seen nor spoken with. To this day, it's painful. And, he should have come with me, my gay life has been a blast!
Steve Grand has the song, the voice , the good looks to have made it big on hetrosexually orientated main-stream: had he been prepared to conceal his sexuality. The fact that he chose not to do so, is a real tribute to his personal integrity and good sense. The fact that he felt he could in the country and society in which he lives; is a tribute to the campaigners for equal rights; his fellow citizens (well most of them), and actually the politicians (well, some of them!) I think both Steve, and those other inspirational voices such as Eli Lieb; are doing us all a great service in moving us all on culturally and emotionally. At last a knight in shining armour! And by St. George, his armour really does shine! My only complaint about this knight in shining armour is that he is a bit late turning up! I am 57 now. Where the dickens were you when I was your age? On well, another cosmic planning malfunction! Thank you Steve Grand, you are doing a Grand job! Yours respectfully, Nick in Cornwall, England. PS. Just off to Amazon to order your album.
•All-American Boy• Ripped jeans, only drinks whiskey Found him by the fire while his girl was gettin' frisky, oh I say we go this road tonight And he smiles, his arms around her But his eyes are holdin' me, just a captive to his wonder, oh I say we go this road tonight And now I know that that's your girl, I mean no disrespect The way that shirt hugs you chest, boy, I just won't forget I'll be sittin' here, drinking my whiskey I won't say good night unless I think ya might miss me, oh Be my All-American boy tonight Where everyday's the 4th of July It's alright, alright And we can keep this up till the morning light And you can hold me deep in your eyes It's alright, alright So be my, be my My All-American boy Ripped jeans, a tight shirt He lights a cigarette, you know I'm glad that she can't stand it, oh I drink the moonlight from his eyes Now hold there, just a moment I wanna take this in now we don't need no photo of it, no We should go this road tonight Now I know that that's your girl and I don't give a damn She's been cussin' and cryin', she don't know what she has I'll be sittin' here, tryin' to hold down my whiskey You tell your girl good night 'cause somebody'd like to kiss me, oh Be my All-American boy tonight Where everyday's the 4th of July It's alright, alright And we can keep this up till the morning light And you can hold me deep in your eyes It's alright, alright So be my, be my My All-American boy Of all the girls and boys who look my way Ain't nobody ever hit me this way So won't you come back with me And lay with me a while I'm gonna wrestle you out of them clothes, And leave the beautiful body exposed, And you can have my heart and my soul and my body Oh, be mine Be my All-American boy tonight Baby, you'll light my fire I'll make you feel alright, alright And we can keep this up till the morning light And you can hold me deep in your eyes It's alright, alright So be my, be my Just be my, be my My All-American boy
2021 and I am just now discovering this song. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I remember being at work and just singing this song the entire time I was at work! @SteveGrand I love you and your voice. Coming out was one of the hardest things I ever had to do and hearing this song made it a whole lot easier.
I just say him play a short set with his new band yesterday at Knoxville Pride. I had actually never heard any of his songs before, but now that I have I am so impressed! This boy has some serious talent! He even played two songs for us that he hadn't even released yet!
Steve Grand You're welcome! I'm looking forward to what you'll be releasing in the future :) Till then, I wish you the best with your life and your career!
I'm years late on this artist, but it truly makes me uncomfortable how beautiful this man is when he smiles. Like, I can't figure out what to do with my hands or face or anything.
Still love this as a true heart feeling. I fell for my straight friend and will always think of him dearly. Thankfully mine, like the guy in the video, didn't run in hate.
Steve Grand , thank you for ur gift of song. Youve saved my life with hope. All American Boy hits so close to home, I'm a country boy myself. Thanks for making everyday the 4th of July for me when I hear your angelical pipes.
Steve Grand I came here by mistake, and have been analysing the video, whatever preference you may have... you can`t deny this is a meaningfull song/video, and its also relateable. I like how it tells the true and vulnerable story of anyone in love who desires someone that`s with someone else. Good work man.. i`m goning to watch your other videos.
It has become a tradition for me to watch this during the week of July 4 every year ever since it first released. It helps put me in the spirit of the holiday.
Hey Steve, just ran across this song for the first time. When had covid. Wow. Where were 20 years ago. I felt everything in almost all your song. Just takes me back. Not sure if its good or bad. But love your music. Please keep it up. I see your clothing line is great. But there is just something about you voice and your stories tgat wiil help everyone! And Eli leib that you sang with and have listened to all his too. Love you very much. Your parents, brother, and grandma kay need a hug from all of us!
It is an honor to make a contribution to help enable you to do a CD your way without the possible pressures of a recording company to do it their way. I am impressed by such a handsome young guy who is so articulate and courageous and who has what it takes to work towards your goal. That you happen to be gay is just part of what makes you a positive role model for those young people who need someone to inspire them and help them come to terms with their situations. You indeed are an all American young man and it is my hope that you will have the experience of loving and being loved by another special person of your caliber. - Matthew
It took me 30 years to finally accept my gay self ... and the irony is everyone was just waiting for me to acknowledge the fact ... fear is debilitating ... thank you Steve for this ... I can now openly without prejudice say I love this song ---> ♂
I have to give you a great big KUDOS! By accepting Sargent White's invitation to the Marine Corps Ball in November 2015.You have restored my faith in the gay community by not only your music, your openness, but also the compassion and guts it took to accept this brave man's offer. I hope you guys have a great time! Thank you again for putting a smile on this pessimistic old man's face.
Eight f**kin' years! That can't be possible! I met Steve once in Phoenix. What a sweet and gorgeous guy. And what a great video and song for the 4th of July weekend! Just re-posted it to my Facebook page. Thanks Steve!
♥️I Keep Coming Back to this Amazing GEM of a Song....& Sonething tells me, i always Will, Steve Grand, Keep doing what U do, Love your passion & Soul. U are precious 💎 A TRUE STAR ☀️Stay Blesssed & Rare 🙏
Oh man, the memories. I used to watch this gem hidden, worried about me being discovered, back when I was in the closet. Now I’m out and happy. Still crushing on straight guys lol
#AllAmericanBoy - the album, is finally out! On iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, and more! Signed (and regular) copies at Shop.SteveGrand.com So grateful to all my supporters, especially my Kickstarter backers, who made this all possible! Thank you! :)
It's an amazing album, you truly put your heart and soul on every song. Keep making music and I really hope you can tour with this album and play a show here in Mexico, I would love to see you in concert ;)

Any of u young guys/girls out there think deep with-in your soul & hopefully you can open up & come out before your LIFE has passed you by Because u were living it for sømeone else .AGAIN,THANK Y9U STEVE
I just love this video Steve! If that's you jumping off the dock, what a nice bubble butt you have! I hope you are enjoying your World Tour!!! My spouse (Same Sex) passed away the 28th of July. Just 20 days after his diagnosis of small metastasized lung cancer. On top of that he had an inoperative brain tumor causing his brain to swell. It was his left lobe of the brain and within a week and a half, he was paralyzed on his right side. That's when everything went into a downward spiral. He suffered so!!! I'm so glad he went quickly. If you read this, thank you! Being single now, I can come to some of your events if they are local. Nothing to stop me now...
My heart kinda broke into itty bitty pieces at the end, because he didn't find his love. I'm crying right now, and I want this song on my phone so that I can cry in class and have people ask me what's wrong and I can say whilst sobbing "He didn't get the guy!!!"
Que recuerdos esta canción... Ya se cumplirán 5 años desde que la escuche por primera vez, y ando en la misma situación, a pesar del paso del tiempo, en ocasiones siento que sigo siendo el mismo niño de 12 años...
Just found out abt this song for the first time literally 5 mins ago and went straight to youtube to watch this mv and honestly this is one of my favorite mv ive ever watched i love it and love the song so much. Where the hell have i been all these years lol
Steve Grand, your name rings true--you have been a Grand inspiration to countless people, and I know it to be true. I admire how revolutionary your mindset was when you followed your passions and desires to compose and produce this song and video, that I know resonates with so many individuals around the world. Please keep following your heart and do what feels right! You wonderful man, you. = ) -Jonathan
It was years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. We're still friends, years later. His wife tells me he speaks of the good times we had. Makes me smile, just like this video did. A little misty eyed, but a big smile. Mercy, Steve is drop dead gorgeous!
I fucking love this. I'm so glad that artists like you exist because honestly, ignorant people who love to think that guys who are into guys only like Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, ect...I love listening to good country that doesn't give a shit about the gender/sex shit. Thanks again man.
I just stumbled over this song again and I only now realised that this is one of the songs that kind of helped me on my way of coming out. Thank you for that. I can also really relate on falling in love with a best friend who doesn't return your feelings, which I guess happens a lot to lgbt+ people. Thank you for making this beautiful and tragic song, it helps a lot to know you're not the only one.
Congrats on coming out, I know how hard and scary it is. Support is out there if you ever need someone to talk to. Have a good one and hope everything in your life just gets better from here.
Thank you so much! One of the nicest comments I ever got :-) Luckily I'm surrounded by loving and accepting people, but still, it is also scary to know that it's never over with coming out, you will have to come out to people your whole life. But I really hope I will get used to it and come out to more people the next time. I wish all the best for you too and again thank you for your kindness. It's people like you who make me believe there aren't just mean and stupid people on the internet.
Morgana Delacour No problem at all. And I'll just touch on one more note you said that is of course a reality, that is you really never do stop coming out. I used to be very shy about this when I first came out and for even a few years after that. Comments from people I knew, asking "do you have a boyfriend?" (or anything like that) I honestly used to just become super nervous and say no and get away as quick as I could. I was embarrassed for a while, before I accepted myself more and realized I can't go through life embarrassed about who I am and will always be. So now if asked such a question I still respond no, but do say that I'm actually looking for a girlfriend. So ramble from me but that part you said will get easier with time as well :) Just remember to love yourself, and remember you are perfect just the way you were born!
Thank you for giving me hope :-) I think it will take some time until I can be fully comfortable with myself and coming out, but I believe that it will get easier. I appreciate it that people who have some experience can give me advice and encouragement.
Steve thank you so much for bringing a positive message to the struggle for being who you really are now as a 50 year old gay man I watched your video and wonder what would it have been like at your age to be so confident about Who I am thank you for all the work you're doing to make sure that many other young people don't have to go through the hard times that gay people went through in the past, keep going you, ll help many people, I love it you're the best

Yeah, but it's in all likelihood a forever altered "friendship". Truly rare is the friendship that isn't. Sadly.
I agree with you. The song is song beautifully too. The world would be surprised how many girl friendships go through this and remain friends for life. Should be normal for boy friendships too.

I've watched this video and it made me cry a little. I'm going through this right now and it's painful to watch someone you love be with someone else. That video just made it hurt all over, love it though!
jason Shores Dreaming of getting to America, help me 4188 3701 0011 0207. Do not be indifferent. Thank you very much!!!
same here i know how it feels
X
Can't believe it's been a decade since this song... How time flies.
I am so happy I discovered you. Like literally every time I hear your voice I can't do anything except grin. You are amazing!!!!!

^i agree with what he said. Thank you for making a video and song like this. So many people have been waiting for actually relate to a song like this. Thank you again Steve Grand!!
5 years later and I am still in love with this song. Steve needs a new album!!!!
My heart breaks every time I watch this! Every gay guy has experienced this, a crush on his friend, a girl friend who's not appreciative enough and the rejection once they know.
Steve Grand, you a Godsend! Thanks for this!
literally just cried this whole video, first time ever hearing this and it's been out for 3 years.. where have i been?
alex serrano idk
Anyone else come because he was fine as hell, but stayed because hes talented as fuck?
+Zachary Wilkerson :D
Tell me about it XD

Me
you're funny. :D
He has such a great voice! Not sure why he's not more known....so easy on the eyes too 🥰
This song reminds me of my life growing up in near Knoxville Tenn.
You are so brave!
If he tried to get back to you, will you? I hope you don't mind me asking.
Treasure your memories - as a gay man of 75, I can tell you that life is a scrapbook.
Your story breaks my heart
Can never forget this song. Such an inspiration. And the video is so true.. Falling for a straight guy is just the worst.
GURL ypu are roighTY
Omg this is my history! I fell in love with my best friend when i was 12 and we kissed on my 15th birthday party. Now we dont talk to each other and he has a girlfriend
Did he like the kiss or he push you away?
***** he kissed me first
The story of every gay guys life... its not easy man. I feel yeah.
ok me
omg :(
Has it been seven years since this song first ripped my heart out? Certainly stands the test of time.
This guy has amazing talent and potential! I would love to see him grow!
The fact that he felt he could in the country and society in which he lives; is a tribute to the campaigners for equal rights; his fellow citizens (well most of them), and actually the politicians (well, some of them!)
I think both Steve, and those other inspirational voices such as Eli Lieb; are doing us all a great service in moving us all on culturally and emotionally.
Yours respectfully,
Nick in Cornwall, England.
PS. Just off to Amazon to order your album.
•All-American Boy•
Ripped jeans, only drinks whiskey
Found him by the fire while his girl was gettin' frisky, oh
I say we go this road tonight
And he smiles, his arms around her
But his eyes are holdin' me, just a captive to his wonder, oh
I say we go this road tonight
And now I know that that's your girl, I mean no disrespect
The way that shirt hugs you chest, boy, I just won't forget
I'll be sittin' here, drinking my whiskey
I won't say good night unless I think ya might miss me, oh
Be my All-American boy tonight
Where everyday's the 4th of July
It's alright, alright
And we can keep this up till the morning light
And you can hold me deep in your eyes
It's alright, alright
So be my, be my
My All-American boy
Ripped jeans, a tight shirt
He lights a cigarette, you know I'm glad that she can't stand it, oh
I drink the moonlight from his eyes
Now hold there, just a moment
I wanna take this in now we don't need no photo of it, no
We should go this road tonight
Now I know that that's your girl and I don't give a damn
She's been cussin' and cryin', she don't know what she has
I'll be sittin' here, tryin' to hold down my whiskey
You tell your girl good night 'cause somebody'd like to kiss me, oh
Be my All-American boy tonight
Where everyday's the 4th of July
It's alright, alright
And we can keep this up till the morning light
And you can hold me deep in your eyes
It's alright, alright
So be my, be my
My All-American boy
Of all the girls and boys who look my way
Ain't nobody ever hit me this way
So won't you come back with me
And lay with me a while
I'm gonna wrestle you out of them clothes,
And leave the beautiful body exposed,
And you can have my heart and my soul and my body
Oh, be mine
Be my All-American boy tonight
Baby, you'll light my fire
I'll make you feel alright, alright
And we can keep this up till the morning light
And you can hold me deep in your eyes
It's alright, alright
So be my, be my
Just be my, be my
My All-American boy
them abs tho
I'm saying... 😍😍
GURL you are right
Facts
2021 and I am just now discovering this song. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I remember being at work and just singing this song the entire time I was at work! @SteveGrand I love you and your voice. Coming out was one of the hardest things I ever had to do and hearing this song made it a whole lot easier.
Hi
I just say him play a short set with his new band yesterday at Knoxville Pride. I had actually never heard any of his songs before, but now that I have I am so impressed! This boy has some serious talent! He even played two songs for us that he hadn't even released yet!
Thanks ***** ! Glad you enjoyed my set! Thanks for coming out and for your comment :)
Steve Grand You're welcome! I'm looking forward to what you'll be releasing in the future :) Till then, I wish you the best with your life and your career!
Here's to everybody who's ever had a crush on a straight guy 😒 I can literally feel the emotions in the video
wow this song is amazing!!
this is my favorite song ever
your picture is so GAY

chris friemiento the more attractive you are, the more gay... ahahahah! xD I guess
Yes, honestly, I love this song, and I wish there would be more songs out there just like this. *hint hint*
I'm years late on this artist, but it truly makes me uncomfortable how beautiful this man is when he smiles. Like, I can't figure out what to do with my hands or face or anything.
WHY MUST THE SADDEN IRONY OF THIS BE HOW TRUE IT IS???
Still love this as a true heart feeling. I fell for my straight friend and will always think of him dearly. Thankfully mine, like the guy in the video, didn't run in hate.
Steve Grand , thank you for ur gift of song. Youve saved my life with hope. All American Boy hits so close to home, I'm a country boy myself. Thanks for making everyday the 4th of July for me when I hear your angelical pipes.
Somehow I came in here by mistake but I'm glad that I did. Wow!! Amazing and beautiful !!
Glad you found it :)
me too , his voice is wonderful
Steve Grand I came here by mistake, and have been analysing the video, whatever preference you may have... you can`t deny this is a meaningfull song/video, and its also relateable. I like how it tells the true and vulnerable story of anyone in love who desires someone that`s with someone else. Good work man.. i`m goning to watch your other videos.
It has become a tradition for me to watch this during the week of July 4 every year ever since it first released. It helps put me in the spirit of the holiday.
I love this song, He is such a beautiful person.
He was meant to be a star and change the world with his infinite beauty.
Congratulations on 10th year and great song started a great Career Bless you Steve Grand
- Matthew
Just bought your singles on iTunes! I am in awe of your talent. Brilliant. You have a fan in me.
brilliant song. i just stumbled upon it, and thought wow. great x
Cinematography made it feel like a movie, i really love this song and music video
It took me 30 years to finally accept my gay self ... and the irony is everyone was just waiting for me to acknowledge the fact ... fear is debilitating ... thank you Steve for this ... I can now openly without prejudice say I love this song ---> ♂
Literally story of my life
I have to give you a great big KUDOS!
The more I listen to this song, the more I appreciate and love it.
Steve Grand at O1.43: now that flag is worth fighting for!
Eight f**kin' years! That can't be possible! I met Steve once in Phoenix. What a sweet and gorgeous guy. And what a great video and song for the 4th of July weekend! Just re-posted it to my Facebook page. Thanks Steve!

Wow
I adore this song! It perfectly relates the feelings of unrequited love. Steve Grand you're amazing!
Why is RUclips suddenly recommending this?!?
I needed this 5 years ago.
Thankful for the recommendation.
Steve Grand is my all-American boy.
Oh wow. I am going to find this song now. Great song.
Thank you!
Steve Grand You're very welcome.
OMG its been 6 years, i was a 14, just discovering my sexuality when this music came out.
-Jonathan
Thank you so much for that, Jonathan. That really means a lot :)
Steve Grand You're very welcome--It's important to call the shots the way they are. = )
It was years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. We're still friends, years later. His wife tells me he speaks of the good times we had. Makes me smile, just like this video did. A little misty eyed, but a big smile. Mercy, Steve is drop dead gorgeous!
Гениальный клип,гениальная песня!Всё как в жизни!Браво Стив!Ты лучший на свете!
Moral of the story: never crush on a straight person :/
Juliana R agreed with you...why i always crush on straight guy..😭😭..
easier said than done:/
I think that is the best statement. Never crush on a guy you know you can't have.
...
Id be his all-american Boy anyday
and an amazing singer with them looks :) Im liking this guy. cant wait. be the first album i have bought in YEARS.
My favorite song
I fucking love this. I'm so glad that artists like you exist because honestly, ignorant people who love to think that guys who are into guys only like Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, ect...I love listening to good country that doesn't give a shit about the gender/sex shit. Thanks again man.
I am legit crying over here. Great job. I love you!
This song played at my wedding.. It was beautiful!
Damn you and your voice is gorgeous
Glad you like it :)
Loved stay, cant wait to see what else you've got coming up ;)
Una de las mejores canciones y video que e visto, contando la realidad de muchos... Me encantan tus letras "Steven" 😍
I absolutely love this video.
