Imma make a comparison,
Gamers typically spend alot of hours sitting and playing games, sure u can use some shitty plastic chairs but it'll hurt your ass after some time has passed, so most gaming chairs put comfort as its main priority.
Math professors uses either chalk or markers most of the time. They constantly need to write and erease afterwards which is why a chalk that erases better and writes more smoothly is preferred as it is much more comfortable for them to use.

I saw a video on this stuff and it made it seem like it was the purest strain of cocaine in the math community.

Funny story regarding 06:32: For some reason, management in our university decided to switch our chalk supply to that crap - for no reason, and without telling or asking anyone. Needless to say, everybody (especially staff) hated it so much that they formally complained about it. Now they apparently have tons of that shit left, which they try to dump on the learning areas in the basement, which are only used by students. It makes me angry every time I'm there to learn, now I always gotta go to a proper lecture room just to get some decent fucking chalk.
So yeah, your reaction hit home pretty hard :D

That is the Korean remake of Hagaromo after the company was sold. It’s still very, very good, but I have a few sticks of the OG locked up in my office and there is a creamy difference.

@Vtron There is a perceptibly thicker grain to the newer version of the chalk. It’s still the best on the market, but there is a bit of a difference.
