If you feel like you are not real, it's a disorder called dpdr, (wich i had), it also causes existential thoughts that make the condition worse. Just accept the symptom and youll feel better (it can be confusing at first, but it is a normal brain defense when you have anxiety)

Isn't these types of videos just keeping our anxiety alive? The reassurance that this video gives me is just the thing that my CBT psychologist is advising against.
I will say though that the video that you made about "Why you dont have ALS" really helped me to see how unlikely it was and that my spasms was just something that would come and go. So thank you for that!

Tbf looking for reassurance constantly does keep anxiety alive, but usually that’s like asking workmates, family and random people, but it’s good reassurance from the right people, eg doctors, mra scan s even therapists, unfortunately some people with bad anxiety will say maybe the scan missed it, maybe the doctor s lying lol maybe the therapist s lying etc etc, sometimes you just have to say why would great technology lie, what benefits would a doctor have to lie just have to believe 🤣👍

I am 22 and have always had anxiety when it comes to experiencing new symptoms. Two months ago I experienced slurry speech and unfortunately it was something sinister: I had a brain bleed due to some congenital blood vessel problems in the brain that I never knew of (stroke in other words), and eventually underwent brain surgery. Now that I am recovering I have been extra anxious when I am faced with additional symptoms (headache / dizziness / jaw pain / muscles twitches etc), cuz two months ago the very worst scenario did happen, and as a medical student who hasn't graduated, it just makes matters worse because I would easily link up symptoms to very debilitating condition eg recurrence of the blood vessel problem, late complications of surgery. I am having my neurosurgical followup this afternoon, I will tell everything to my doctor and fingers crossed I don't have to stay in the hospital for further checkup TT

The seizures, were my thoughts to a possible brain tumor. Started back in May of 2020 , that actually caused me to wreck while I was driving, prior to this accident there were no history nor knowledge of me having seizures even in childhood. Had a clean bill of health with the us .army when I joined. Served during the Iraq war and the global war on terrorism after 9/11 . Was home for about 9 yrs and just had turned 39 , then boom out of now where seizure . Then four months later another one in front of my mother , we were having a conversation, then stopped and rolled of my chair to the floor and started convulsing , enough to put carpet burn on the right side of my face. Three years later I'm still having seizures they are more complex focal seizures (unaware ). Experiencing just about every seizure in the book not consistent with the same kind when I have them. I have them in my sleep sometimes. Headaches are sometimes in morning when I wake up if not it's later in the day. Always have headaches after a seizure.

I had “seizure-like activity”, where I would collapse and jerk for about 30 seconds. This happened twice. I went to the doctor a couple of times and they told me that these episodes don’t seem like actually seizures. More like convulsive syncope due to standing up too fast, which causes a drop of blood pressure and dehydration. It’s been 3 months since the last time this happened but I’m still convinced it’s a brain tumor. Even though there was only 6 weeks in between the 2 episodes so I’m 3 months free so I had definitely improved but health anxiety won’t leave me alone. Any advice?

I suffer from this very bad, I get super worried because for the past month or so I have been struggling with bad anxiety. I have symptoms like weird sensation in head or like tightness in head when I squint. Usually my forehead area is sore or like a weird feeling. And I would feel nauseous sometimes and everyday I would deal with it, and I wish I could go back in time to when I wandt worried and I was just living life, now I am dealing with this everydya and I am conceived I have brain cancer or brain tumor but I am not even sure.. which worries me.. my mom said it’s mental and that I don’t need to see a doctor but I am not sure.. Has anyone ever had these symptoms before with there anxiety? Head pain, Weird feeling in head, When you squint ur head hurts, Nauseous and other things.. and I am always worried everyday if it’s something serious… What do you guys think? What should i do?

Sorry. Didn't listen to the whole thing. But.
I have had a brain tumour.I was 19 when it was discovered. The warning signs that I really shouldn't have missed were:
Change of my personality and behaviour. Not keeping myself clean. My thinking was 'wrong'.
Lost ability to learn anything. Fatigue. Shocking headaches.
There are a large range...very large range of symptoms. Get them checked but it is unlikely to be serious.
I didn't back then and I was lucky.
    That was 41 years ago.
    -
I won't say more as I also have health anxiety now and the last thing you need is a horror story.

Could you share some more symptoms? I have anxiety but am experiencing some problems with my hands hurting and feet hurting. One side of my head hurts also when i move it. I don’t get headaches that often but i do get mild pain in one specific area every day.

    • @scoobydoop
      @scoobydoop 2 года назад +2

@@SaraLevins I'd rather not, as I mentioned in my post. Not really appropriate on a site that helps people with anxiety.
      Sorry for late reply.
Those symptoms are not really an issue (opinion only).
They are quite common and I have similar problems from time to time.
The symptoms are so wide ranging too. A visit to a doctor occasionally is fine. I wouldn't during covid due to anxiety about catching the disease.
I just stopped behaving normally. But head pains are common too, remember most of them are normal. The headaches for me were so intense I couldn't stand up.The final straw that put me in hospital was seizures. I remain epileptic today.

something was picked up on one of my eyes exams when I was eight, so I had to have a brain scan, thankfully it is not cancer (this is part of a health condition) I have,. I have had to have brain scans every 2 to 5 years to monitor it, the lump/spot or whatever it has got smaller, unless I am getting symptoms like seizures etc. where I would have to get a scan as soon as possible. I know I should not google about my condition, I got a small increase of getting a brain tumour

Headaches are the most common cause of uncorrected nearsightedness (myopia). It can occur anywhere in the head and it's all quite normal . I went to the optician for an eyetest and was prescribed with diverging lenses. Now, I don't experience headaches.
Sometimes, these are related to eye defects
