This paper mache dragon lives by the sea. It has sea colors and a nest made of driftwood. PS. Yes, it is a wyvern, which is still a dragon, like a poodle is still a dog. Visit www.GourmetPaperMache.com for more information about paper mache. Or visit my blog, www.PaperMacheBlog.com. Thanks for watching!

    Hello Andy,
Thank you for you kind words. I sculpt with paper mache pieces. That provides a great basic structure. The "skin" of cloth and glue gives the project a lot of strength and durability (unlike just paper mache which can be brittle). I have projects at home that have lasted more than 30 years. It also allows for detail you can't get with paper alone.
    Thank you for your interest.

I just use "all-purpose" paint, so long as it's water based. Mostly it's latex I think, or some combination of latex and acrylic. Sometimes it's just house paint. I don't use straight acrylic. I've never had the paint peel off. I don't know why that would happen.
