Helmsley Castle is located in North Yorkshire, in the town of Helmsley. Interesting basements, amazing earthworks, English Civil War history.
Rievaulx Abbey and Rievaulx Terrace are 3 miles away and York is about 25 miles south. By the Cleveland Way walking trail, next to Duncombe Park Estate. Helmsley has the English Heritage Archaeology Store.
