It doesn't work with DS games, and I doubt that it would/could. Arctic Base streams game data from a 3DS to a 3DS emulator. PabloMK7 would have to build DS emulation into the 3DS emulator (among other things), which seems pretty unlikely.
@@MediumQualityalso something to consider DS games are like is backwards compatibility not a emulator on the 3ds So that means that the ds games should have there own ds homebrew to make it work on the 3ds
Online multiplayer has actually been a part of Citra for quite some time now. I can't comment on how active the public rooms are for specific games (since I don't play online), but you should be able to access those settings via the Multiplayer menu.
@gentepessoa2156 Naw, Artic Base essentially turns a 3DS into a fancy wireless hard drive. All gameplay, sensors, and connectivity route through Citra. Usually, that's a good thing, but it is a bit of a letdown for local multiplayer.
My first steps would be to restart my 3DS and check my internet connection before trying again. Since Artic Base isn't an intended feature for 3DSs, it occasionally glitches and requires restart. If the problem persisted past that, I'd reinstall Citra my phone with the latest version and try connecting to a different computer. That way, I could isolate whether it's the app or my phone acting up.
is there a homebrew app that just lets u stream any game? shoutout to the people who developed this and snickerstream but doesnt make sense that they wouldnt try to make it also run NDS games or whatever other non 3ds games u have on the console.
Not that I know of. Artic Base is a pretty unique product that I probably wouldn't expect anyone to attempt to recreate unless they're also working on a 3DS emulator. As for the limitations, lack of DS support actually makes perfect sense when you remember that Citra is a 3DS emulator. It doesn't have the capabilities to play DS games, even if Artic Base managed to run the same while the 3DS was in DS mode (which may not be the case). Meanwhile, Homebrew seems like a potential future addition that just hasn't been implemented yet. Given that PabloMK7 is a single developer, it's probably moreso a matter of finding the time to work on the feature rather than it being impossible.
i think its useless for most people. 1] 3DS is the ONLY console that isn't worth emulating, because you lose the whole 3D effect [I LOVE it! and WISH Switch 2 had 3D] 2] if you already have modded 3DS, meaning you have all the roms on your PC, since you downloaded them there and copied to 3DS. So why stream back to PC? 3] you lose updates and DLC functionality [or not], but if you do its a another minus 4] The part you said about saving broken consoles makes no sense either, since you dont need any 3DS hardware to emulate on PC. Basically it looks like one of those: let me make something cool, even if its useless projects BUT, what i would like to see is a way to use modern gamepad on 3DS, since the build in controls are trash, honestly they uncomfortable and the nub for camera is useless and awkward. I have N3DS XL, and if i get a stand to make it at eye level on the desk, plus xbox gamepad or dual sense, i can use both 3D effect and game with normal gamepad
Normally I'd agree with you but I don't think you know what this is or have watched the video. This doesn't just stream the game it shares the save and game files over the network so that the emulator can play them. The only performance hit you'd have is during loading time, latency would not be an issue anymore than vanilla Citra and FPS shouldn't be an issue either unless the game makes an abnormally large amount of read requests during gameplay (Minecraft is the only game I can think of where this would be an issue after the initial loading screen)
Commenting for the algorithm. Love your content
Does this work with DS games? Or are there plans to get it working with DS games in the future?

Imagine if the person who made the "world's biggest 3DS" used Artic Base on it.
Hey, great content! (:
Do you believe that Multiplayer can be implemented in the future? Even if it's Local? It would be incredible!

@@GameXData Forget! I thought you could use 3ds for this...

When I connect to Artic Base with Citra from my phone it connects but then disconnects immediately. What can I do?

Hello friend, do you know how to make the online work? Thank you
Hello. I have a mac do i need to download anything on my mac? I saw a video that says it also works on mac but cant find anything on how to do it
All you need is the latest version of Citra
@@GameXData thank you for the response, where can i get citra?
@emilioperez3274 Check the page for Artic Base linked in the description. PabloMK7 links to their Citra project within the introduction.
Does this work on the Android citra?
Yes, it does
i think its useless for most people.

They pretend it won't run at 2 fps with an hour of imput lag like all game streaming, streaming games will never be good and it's a waste of money
Your hyperbole aside, Artic Base is a free addition to a free emulator. I would hope you're not spending money to use it.
