Any chance of a rail link? After ripping up all the west cork (including Kinsale/Ballinhassig) rail lines and piecemeal selling off of a valuable one percent gradient route, for a pittance, shortly after the official opening of Cork airport. It would be GREEN.
Cork airport is not an international airport, it is only a feeder airport for the bigger Hub's, it needs at least 2to 3 kilometres to the main runway to take the bigger airplanes , until then it is only a big Heliport !!!!!
I am happy that Cork Airport is upgrading and hope they extend the Rollway too, so they can fly further to other continents also, like South Africa
