While spying on Aoyama in the woods, Invisible Girl discovers that he is the U.A traitor. She inform Deku, who comes to deal with the situation. We get to know more about Aoyama's situation and how he ended up in this predicament.

the anime didn't show it but in the manga deku was already walking around in the forest looking for aoyama before hagakure saw him
you're also 100% right about his hero name!
As for the cheese bit he thought deku was also a traitor and was trying to see how he'd react to the hints. If there was another student who was a traitor like him he could have bonded with them and lessened his emotional burden. when deku didn't get the hints he backed off thinking he was mistaken. so later when he learned that deku's power came from a hero he despaired in self pity because their situations could have easily been switched.
