To my dear friend, I am so sorry that I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday! Please charge it to my head, and not my heart. I just got your last mail, and everything sounds good, a simple plan makes perfect! LOL! Smiles from J.
You are always so thoughtful, my treasured friend. We all get caught up in life, just like I did when I missed yours! Free of charge, LOL! So instead, cheers to a big happy birthday to both of us! Because as my mom used to say, everyday is a birthday! 🎈
You must be a mind reader. I am practicing this right this minute so my winter garments will have a flexible, professional finish 😂 So much nicer and the thumb idea helps immensely because that was the issue I was having. Thank you.
Great timing and SO glad it's helpful!! 💖 I'll be using this method in my next project tutorial, coming soon! Great tutorial, Helene! I have used the modified method and it works well. I also use a stitch marker now to join the bottom, especially for the snood I am making. Had to rip it out once due to twisting, and the stitch marker saved the day for round 2. 😊
I have tried the traditional foundation double crochet, I did have trouble with it. I'll try your modified foundation dc and see how that works for me. I'm all about easier ways to stitch, thank you for the tutorial Helene. Thanks for the link too!
Thanks for sharing your way of doing this, I tried the foundation double crochet a few weeks ago again but my work always looks really slanted so I don’t think I do it right. I’m going to try it your way!
My pleasure! Thank you for your feedback on it. I always had trouble with the traditional method myself. That’s why I played around, until I figured this was the easiest and worked the best. Glad it works for you too! 💗

Hi! I hope it works out better for you than the traditional. I could never quite get that one to work for me either. Even in the row. 🤗
