Das finde ich schon erstaunlich. Es gibt wenige Videos über die Performance von Bögen nach mehreren Jahren Nutzung. Ab wann kann man sagen, dass die Leistung von Bögen wirklich/merklich nachlässt? I have an older short one of these in 50lbs. It is quite a bit more wobbly in both directions than yours. You have to almost be as careful stringing it as a horn bow. It's nice to see that has changed. Mine has really really nice draw, and is very fun to shoot. I forgot to mention after 10 shots mine likes to go out of shape, so I have to keep messing with it.

  • @willisgemutlich2608
    @willisgemutlich2608 3 года назад +1

    do you ever use balls of fur or any other "silencer" to reduce the noise/ impact on the string? also I'm afraid to not use a "wrist guard", and also I would love to learn the right side thumb grip and twist. do you have any recommendations on how to learn this technique? it makes sense to use your right eye and a right arrow together, unless of course you're left eyed, and/or left handed. I know some people have a left eye/right handed, and right handed/left footed (they call it "goofy foot"). I learned the english way of 3 fingers, right eye, but the more I learn, the more I want to learn. Thank you for some very informative videos.

    • @gerhardheydrich3146
      @gerhardheydrich3146 6 месяцев назад

      A long time ago he used real horn, but he never used sinew in the traditional layering way unless you ordered a far more expensive traditional composite. Fairbow in the Nederlands bought one of his bio composites and cut it up to see what it consisted of - I kind of remember it was a mix of powdered sinew and fibreglass. Grozer threatened to sue when Margen Klomp of Fairbow exposed this, but backed off when Margen challenged him to do so.

      @@jake4194 you might check out Arif Budiman's Tiny Turkish bows. Armin has reviewed them. They will draw to 28" and are only 33" long strung. I have 6 of his tiny Turkish bows. 3 that are 35#! One 45#, one 50# and one 57#. The draw weight is measured at 26". Once you go over 40# the draws are only rated to 27". They are very affordable and he is a great guy. You can get 3 bows shipped for the price of one. To the USA shipping is $65 and the bows are $45. If you like short bows.....they are magic sir.

    This is not their regular packing. Regularly, they put the bow in a gray or black sleeve with one string, and into a cardboard delivery box, that's it. No carrying bag, no documentation or guarantee (they take the production date stamped on the bow as reference for guarantee purposes; they barely provide information), no spare string (even if you ask for it for its price), no colorful decorative sleeve whatsoever. Obviously they are just doing a misrepresentation through your channel and review videos. The bows are the best I have tried so far though, thats for sure.

      @@ArminHirmer Thank you Armin. I wish it was that simple. The Grozer site has a ‘stock’ button, but no ‘order’ button.. The stock button takes you to ‘Nomad Bows’ but there is no stock of Biocomposite at all. There is also the site ‘Grozer retail Program’ but you need to buy min 5 Bows.. There is another site ‘Classic-Bow.Com’ which has some Grozer Bows.. But on many there is no option to choose weight? And they sell in $ so I presume based in USA. I am wondering if you just got in touch direct with Csaba and ordered that way?

Incidentally this bow is extremely accurate in terms of its design features compared with historic examples so there’s another five points!!

    Hello Armin, I absolutely love watching your videos the format etcetera, I am Native american.
    I build horse bows pyramid n flat as well as long paddle n short paddle bows. I’m running out of true native american designs I know there is more.
    THIS QUESTION IS HUGE!! I know tha i can not only be the one that have a hard time telling things apart. My very first bow was a grozer turkish bow ten 12 years ago. I see Turkish bows with string bridges as well.
    The question is, what are some of the differences to look for as bows fall under assyrian, manchu, n lots of the bows that i review. N the difference between how that is used by the bow. Does my question make sense.
    In the end most have a similar shape except the yumi which i have to own one day black striped even though i didn’t warn them, o have earned a lot of eagle feathers which are given in acts of bravery n honor. English long bows were recorded at over two meters, crazee

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  2 года назад

      I think every region developed their own bow design and they tried to maximize the performance depending on the application. Major difference of asiatic bows is that some have a string bridge (contact siyah) some not

    Hi, hätte eine kleine Frage, kannst du mal ein Ranking aller türkischen Bögen machen oder nach der asiatischen Art...
    Oder welche sind deine 3 Favoriten, weil hast viele türkische Bögen in deinen Videos... Und gibs da eine klare Nummer 1??
    Will mir unbedingt einen kaufen demnächst und habe nun die Qual der Wahl und deine Expertenmeinung kann mir paar Richtungen andeuten...
    Ich kaufe erst einen günstigen Bogen um die Zugkraft zu trainieren und dann den türkischen Bogen, so viel habe ich schon gelernt dank dir ; )
    Bleib gesund und danke für die Videos!!

      @@ArminHirmer danke vielmals... Preis ist kein Problem,da ich ja so 4 bis 6 Monate sparen kann, ich Miete mir morgen einen Bogen wo ich jeden Monat die Stärke erhöhen kann... Bis ich meine ungefähre maximal gesteigerte Zugkraft kenne und dann bestelle ich mir einen aus dem Internet..
      Auch am besten mit Muster...
      Bin auch am überlegen, ob ich nicht in der Türkei einen anfertigen lasse...
      Darf man damit auf Turnieren schießen?? Hättest du auch eine Empfehlung für mich, welcher andere Bogen sich für Turniere eignet?? Will aber nicht mit Stabilisator schießen usw... Pfeilauflage wäre okay, aber mehr Hilfsmittel möchte ich nicht ; )
      Hast du eine Shopseite?? Brauche ja noch anderen Utensilien... Würde dann bei dir ein Packet kaufen ; )
