- The Short Sipahi+ by Simsek Bows (38 lbs/ 28”)
Recently Simsek Bows has contacted me and offered to participate the upcoming Turkish Bow Comparison video with the Short Sipahi Plus.
I thought, that this is very good idea, indeed! The Turkish bows in this comparison will be all of various technologies but same or similar strength.
Hence, the Simsek family has built and sent a 38 lbs Short Sipahi+ to me, which is awesome!
For the time being the bow is handed over free of charge, but we will align later how we progress.
The draw feels snappy and straight the same time, the sound at release is a little higher tone due to its size I suppose! ☺️
The shooting feels very good and there is very little vibration after the shot, which is minor ☺️
The handle is a little too small for me and I will wrap a leather stripe around the handle where I grab.
The speed is good (170fps with 315gn arrow at 38lbs/28“).
It‘s been a pleasure to shoot this bow and after enlarging the handle it will be excellent!
As always I have marked the chapters for your time management 😁

Thank you so much, dear Simsek family!

Excellent review I love hearing the details. and I think you shoot it very well. it is a bow for precision shooting. Well! it is my opinion. it is very good bow. And it's one of my favorites. Enjoy the weekend dear Sister Agama. 🙏☕️
Thank you so much, dear Bro! 😁🙏🙏
Indeed, this narrow arrow pass supports accuracy! The bow shoots really nice and it‘s great to have the Short Sipahi+ in the comparison video! 😁👍
Best wishes to you and your family and keep up the fun! ☺️🏹🔆
It is a great looking little bow I hope to have one in my collection someday, great review
My friend. You shoot that bow very well. Take care and God bless.
Thank you so much, dear Sig Man! ☺️🙏🙏
It’s an awesome little bow, that provides a lot of fun! 😁
Best wishes and keep up the fun! ☺️🏹🔆
I love the all black version and AWESOME VIDEO. man the details you give of the bow is absolutely amazing. Great video. I’m sharing this one.
😃☺️ Thank you so much, dear Mack!
That’s awesome! ☺️🙏🙏
Another fabulous video:) I'm looking forward to your comparison project. Best wishes and happy shooting😊
Thank you so much, dear Brian! 😁🙏🙏
Me, too! I’m planning to take the video on 18th Jun, which is a bank holiday here 😄
Best wishes and keep up the fun! 🏹🔆
@@agamagreen 🙂I’m just getting going again with my learning and sharing now that my courses teaching kids archery have concluded for this academic year. It feels good focusing on personal growth again. It’s relaxing and centering. Happy filming😊
@@ambidextrousarchery Awesome!!! I bet you and your students have had lots of fun! 😃
Enjoy the privacy!
I have prepared everything I need for tomorrow ☺️ This time quite some stuff is required 😄
Fingers crossed!
Happy evening! 🏹🔆
Hello from devoted archers, dear adoration of ours. Keep shooting arrows and nice videos with lovely bowreviews! This Turkish miracle seems to draw smoothly. Nice drawing curve. Thanx for showing us these important details. The bowdesiggn looks robust and it resists humidity, which is perfect. Pricewise, what is the range of expenses to expect?
☺️ Thank you so much, dear Vitaliy! 😁🙏🙏
The homepage tells me that the price for this Short Sipahi + starts at 400€ - with painting it’s up to 150€ more
simsekbow.com/simsek-ottoman-short-sipahi-plus
I have been told later, that the Simsek Turkish bows shall be shot between 8-9gpp arrow weight. ☺️👍
There are longer Sipahis (just in case you need a longer draw).
The drawing of this bow is very convincing- you don’t think, that this bow is made of resin and glass fibres 😁
Awesome!
And 38 pounds at 28 is perfect weight for shooting. And it does look just like the museum bows don’t they.
Yes, it’s just a very comfortable draw weight 😃
The Turkish bows in the museum’s are very colorful and indeed, customers can order the bow with painting (3 versions selectable) ☺️
But black is also nice… it’s like a assassins bow 😜😃😁
Can't wait for the Turkish bow comparison. When do you think that'll be? In few weeks?
Thank you so much, dear Fasal! ☺️🙏🙏
Yes, next weekend I‘ll be most likely not be able to take a video, hopefully the week after there would be time for the remaining Turkish bow.
Depending on the weather another 2 weeks after that would be ideal for the Big Comparison ☺️
Sound got a little off, but no problem still a great review, I purchased a bow very similar in 12# so
i can begin practicing again to strengthen my arm back to normal , so far
i can only draw it 6"" butt getting stronger every day. Again thank you for the great review , i wish you could review a bow every day👍🍸🎯
Awww… Thank you so much, dear Kenny! ☺️🙏🙏
I’m not sure, but it can be, that I have overseen to raise the sound level to 300% at the speed test section… I’m very sorry!
But I’m very happy, that you have started with archery again! That’s awesome!!! 👏👏👏☺️
Welcome back!
I hope, you start easy - the poundage is very good for a re-start! 👍
(I had limited my exercises to 30 shots per day only to prevent me from overdoing practicing ☺️)
Keep enjoying and get strong soon! 😁🏹🔆
PS: if weather allows the next review will be taken next weekend- it’s about the Monolith Turkish bow by Lukasz Nawalny (in preparation for the Big Turkish Bow Comparison) ☺️ In addition I have taken the chance on a 36lbs Biocomposite Turkish bow, that was missing in the line-up so far! The bow will be painted with arts and depending on the delivery I can take the Big Comparison video 20th May or 2 weeks later (in between I am participating a Korean Archery event).
Furthermore, a TD SiCai bow by AF will come from Malaysia and a Kaya Black Cat will be sent soon! Yeah! ✌️😁
@@agamagreen COOL, THANK YOU "i WILL BE ON LINE TO WATCH ALL OF YOUR GREAT VIDEOS AND REVIEWS, I LOOK FOREWARD TO ALLWAYS VIEW YOU. YOU ALWAYS MAKE MY DAY, THANK YOU MY DEAR. YOU ARE BLESSED!!!!
@@kennethhollenbeck7107 It’s my pleasure, dear friend! 🤗☺️

😁☺️🙏🙏☺️🏹🔆
Every time I see a video about a Simsek bow I need to go shoot mine :D. I have to know -- where did you get your quiver from and how do you like it? I've been looking for a good Ottoman / Crimean style quiver. Is it an Olle Craft?
👊😁 Excellent!
The quiver has been made by Erixc Left and is a Turkish design ☺️
Best wishes and enjoy shooting! 🏹🔆
I never shot turkish bow with that belly pointing outwards. I am a bit afraid of getting one cuz im not sure if i will like it lol. They look cool though. Love your backyard btw 😁
Thank you so much, dear Thomas! ☺️🙏🙏
Usually, the Turkish bow looks like this (the standard is a bit larger). The belly pointing outwards feels very good! It’s a great shape for using the bow and holding arrows in the bow hand (check Charlie Greenberg’s videos- he has practiced this a lot ☺️).
Maybe you have the opportunity to test a Turkish bow of a fellow archer on a 3D parcours or so 😀
Thank you for the compliments regarding the garden! ☺️🙏
Best wishes and a great weekend!
@Agama Green I only watch Armin's and your channel since there is not many out there so that's awesome i will check his videos out! Thank You! 😊
@@TheTomciesielski Thank you, dear Thomas! ☺️🙏🙏 You are very welcome!
If you want to watch a precision shooter, look for Miguel Vera and ‚Journey with arrows‘ also does bow reviews (just to offer more variety 😁).
Keep up the fun! 🏹🔆
Sound is messed up during the speed test chapter. Otherwise great! Just in case you did not notice...
Thank you so much, dear Maxx! ☺️🙏🙏
Strangely, the sound was all fine during editing and exporting… so I have no idea where this is coming from. 😔
I guess there is been a mistake with the information about the sipahi short plus, when I bought mine from şimşek last year I got told that the bows with string bridges are the newer generation. Also Armin made a comparison about the old generation without string bridges and the newer ones with string bridges. Anyway nice video!
Thank you so much, dear Özhan! ☺️🙏🙏
I think, your information was correct - last year! As far as I have understood, the 4th generation is relatively new (I don’t know, when the first 4th gen. Short Sipahi+ bow was build).
The 3rd generation had string bridges, as the Sinsek family has informed me ☺️👍
Best wishes! 🏹🔆
@@agamagreen Hmmm gotta check on that and ask them again, cause the informations from Şimşek are a bit misleading! Great work and keep going in!
I want this bow 😂😂
😁 Thank you so much, dear Kevin! ☺️🙏
That’s the best comment! 😄🙏
Bow looks awesome, i'd get the black, it has that "Ninja" look to it, plus it's cheaper lol
And a Question which has nothing to do with the subject just came into my head; would the Medieval archers be using Slingshots with Darts if they had discovered rubber bands earlier? or would they still stick to the bows? i truly wonder 🤔
😁 Thank you so much, dear David! ☺️🙏🙏
I‘m pretty sure, that medival hunters would have used all weapons that are accessible to make the hunt easier! They would have used a gun, if it would have been available at this time…
Most humans love the easy way 😁
As well archers would have loved to use the bow, even if there are easier ways to hunt.
Using slingshots would have been a nice option as well (cheaper as bow or gun and very effective). 😀
Hi what type of thumb ring is that one you are using
Hi Nabeel! It’s the thumbring made by Bamboo Archery (Ronald) ☺️
After a short learning phase with this ring I enjoy using this ring! I have a summer and a winter version (due to cold and warm weather)
