@@dailymotivation4y0 thank you, do you think I should fill it or just leave it as is. @@user-oy6uf6pr9i If you are concerned about it, you can turn the valve on and fill the tank and then you can use the bucket to catch the water and push with your finger to flush
I appreciate you posting this video as we are getting ready to remodel a bathroom and are looking at a wall hung toilet. When you put the supply and drain lines in the connections inside the wall, are there seals inside that connection? I didn’t see you use any type of plastic cement. Also how is the whole system holding up with the tank and bowl? Would you change anything?
Easy to install, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.
We just installed this toilet, but unfortunately we cut the two pipes 15/16" shorter because we followed the written instructions included with the toilet. This caused the toilet to dump water all over our brand new bathroom, through the wall, downstairs and into our basement. I will contact the company and hopefully they will send two new pipes, but I am not holding my breath. We should have watched your video first! I cannot even say how aggravated I am with their poorly written instructions. Hopefully we can get it to work with some new pipes.
Did you get this resolved with Swiss Madison? I'm about to install four of these toilets, and I couldn't figure out why I should cut an extra 15/16" off as instructed by the manufacturer. For the supply tube, that would have left ~1/2" behind the bowl and not nearly enough to engage with the inlet pipe. I searched online and really only found this video which confirmed my intuition: ignore the instructions from Swiss Madison.
I wish the chrome caps that go over the seat bolts and lay flush with the top of the bowl had some form of washer or gasket inside them that prevented "fluids" from getting in under them and collecting...
Im about to purchase one of these toilets, how has it held up over the last 2 years? I'm very skeptical of this design and the potential for hidden water leaks. I'm also nervous about how they hold up over time in terms of staying snug to the wall with weight/torque forces leveraging the toilet away from the wall
Thank you for this video! Sooo much easier than reading the instructions myself lol Have you installed one of these on drywall? I have a little flex in mine and wonder if that’s normal
I called swiss Madison and they told me to screw in the “Silver bullets” on the end of the threaded rods coming out of the wall a little bit closer to the wall than the measurement that should be equal to the hole in the side of the toilet to the back wall of the toilet. This pretty much the flex in mine.
Do you what the two pipes are called that need to be cut? I cut mine too short and I’m trying to find it on amazon but having no success. Can you send me a link please? Thanks.
My contractor installed a swiss Madison Plaisir wall toilet for me in my bathroom but the toilet slightly moves when you sit on it... He reinforced it by adding a piece of metal underneath sticking out of the wall but I'm suspicious that he did something wrong and then just compensated for his error. Is it normal to have a little give when you sit on the toilet???
@@dailymotivation4y0 wood?? Ah Americans and their obsession woth building homes and everything in them out of WOOD 3rd world countries don't use wood for goodness sake!!!
I noticed you didn’t use plumbers grease like the instructions suggested. I take it that it’s suggested mostly for lubricant and not sealing. I was wondering if I could skip that step. Thanks!
@@dailymotivation4y0 huh? you're saying that 2 of these types of toilets have already failed and are leaking? Are they leaking inside of the wall (meaning you have to rip the wall and tile down?!?!)

Hey man my wife recently ordered one of these for our bathroom remodel, and I got everything installed per the manual, pretty easy and it’s a pretty cool fancy system I’m curious does it seem to be normal to have to hold the flush actuator buttons down for it to fully flush? Or am I missing some kind of adjustment somewhere that allows me to just push the button like a typical flush valve and walk away?
@@erikvaldez1076 sorry for the late reply - personally, I'd absolutely recommend. My only issues is the fact that I have two boys. Doesn't matter how many times I explain, yell or anything - they're too lazy to hold the damn button 😑 but my wife and I both absolutely love this toilet. I finished the remodel almost two years ago now, and haven't had a single issue since. One piece of advice if you do decide to orde this, definitely beef up the in-wall mounting. I double studded everything and I'm glad I did, especially with porcelain tile surrounding everything. Itll probably be fine regardless, but that's the only thing I've been concerned about since installing
you shouldn't have to hold the button though, there has to be a way to increase the amount of water flushed or the length of the sticks that're behind the flush buttons. i have a Geberit model which works the same, but looks a little different and they require the button to be pressed fully down for like half a second, if you do it faster than it might stop fully flushing due to the water not able to get momentum.@@kylevernon9625
The only down side to this is, the control panel made of all plastic, will eventually break internally (no biggie) - BUT the manufacturer will at some point, discontinue making parts for this, leaving the owner stranded. It's the only thing stopping ME from pulling the trigger on this model. I love the look of this thing, but know that the plastic mechanism will absolutely break at some point in the future leaving me without the ability to get parts. I don't want to have to completely replace the entire thing with something completely different in ten years because I can't get parts.
The Geberit wall systems have been sold for five decades with millions of installations. They guarantee current parts are made for 25 year minimum. It’s a proven design.
