Perfect video. I’m a builder and never done this type of toilet. Thanks
Very helpful! Thank you
Thanks for the video, we will be installing one in a week or so. BTW, M (Go Blue!).
Thanks
it's funny, I have exactly the same little bathroom: same size, same studs, same water line even the same electrical box and tiles on the floor
Where's the 2nd part in installing the actual toilet that you mentioned you were going to upload? I can't find it in your videos. Glad to find this video. I have 3 of them to install.
Sorry, I did not get to installing the toilet yet. Life got in the way and the bathroom is still waiting to be finished.
Ahh. Thought it was for a customer. Thanks anyway.
MegaSafetyFirst it’s been a year. Did you finish?
The project is finished, but my camera footage was no good. That’s why there no video unfortunately
My studs are 16" on center. Does this mean I have to cut out one of the studs just like you are showing in the video?
Yes, correct.
The carrier in the video is 19 3/4 inch wide and my walls are also 16 on center also.
It is a lot of extra work to do. But at least it gives you a great opportunity to create a sturdy frame around the carrier.
Good to known, thank you !!
What if the toilet it's in the second floor ?? 😢
Does it matter which side the water supply line comes from?
It does not matter. You can come in from both sides.
After installing the carrier at the height we though we wanted, now we decided we'd like the seat 1" higher. Must the entire assembly be removed and re-installed or is there an easier way?
I can't think of an easier way to do this other than removing the assembly.
No there is not a easier way
What the biggest size 💩 this type of toilet can flush? As some off mine block my current toilet.
So far I never managed to clogg this toilet. It probably helps that the bowl has some sort of special coating.
When it’s getting a lot I do tend to do an intermediate flush, just to make sure. Because I do believe it is prossible to block this toilet.
Booo...lame.
Americans and their matchboxes, I mean houses, lol
And all of Wood Construktion I have mounted at least 1000 or more of those Geberit Flush System but never in a Construktion of wood We use Geberit Metal Profile and for the Accustic after mounting Drywall depends two Leyer of Green Rigips or a Cement Drywall two leyers, after that puumping of Isolation of Rockwoll,or the new System for Acustic from Geberit .Its strange to belive that in the US somthing like this System People have never see???I mean in Europe is gonna be use for Decades.Swiss Engeniering 💪
I’ve wondered how these toilets were designed, now I know, but it seems like a lot of extra work to replace and existing regular toilet.
You're right, it is a lot of extra work.
It's probably just worth it if you are trying to gain some space in your bathroom.
The extra space it produces very, very easily pays for the whole process. You're freeing up at least 2 sqft. In my area, 2sqft of a house costs $250 so this saves $500 in increased usability of a house.
But ist worth here in Europe all new Buildings and Private House use this syatem, and Renovation to.There is also a Konstruktion System of Metal from Geberit
Where's the vent?
I don’t remember seeing a vent
Toilet drain vents And water line air chamber after people flush toilet hammering noise start inside wall
In the same place as on the original toilet
This doesn't seem that hard. The only challenging part look to be the water supply line.
