- This episode has my favourite riding in Namibia so far! I am riding through a large part of the Namib desert and the scenery is simply breathtaking. The vastness of these landscapes is unlike any other place I have ever ridden. I also come across lots of Oryx that join me for a morning run!

If a legitimate award existed for best RUclips videos, Noraly’s work would without question be a frontrunner. Her ability to translate personal experiences into visual and audio feasts (every couple days, no less!) is beyond impressive. An adventurer and artist extraordinaire who clearly demonstrates the many advantages of independent and decentralized videography. Thank you Noraly!
Thank you Noraly. Without doubt Exceptional. This planet is a wondrous living entity and I through your senses and immense abilities do appreciate this opportunity. 🙏.
RUclips MUST honor this lady
Could not have said it better, simply spectacular!
Hear hear!!
Your videos are super. Top notch for sure. Very talented. 😘
As a Namibian woman I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your journey through my country! Thank you Noraly for showing the world this extraordinary beautiful place I call home! Greatly appreciate every detail of your tour, thank you!
Had a chance to stay in your country but finances too expensive but maybe I will go there my mates own a trucking company called Rolling thunder you truly come from a beautiful place Marty Australia
I’m an S-African - and from the few minuscule visits to Namibia I can only but agree: arguably the most magical place on earth. I can understand and relate to when someone says “I love this land”. You should be proud indeed!
I can't get enough of this episode, I have rewatched it several times already. Have not enough words to give it the praise it deserves :, the pure beauty of the desert, the music you chose, the feeling, a true out of this world experience. It moved me to tears. You have such a gift for capturing so much more than a ride, you are a Whisperer on Wheels. Thank you for this most magnificent experience...
Namibia is beautiful country and your reaction reflects its wonder.
Well said! ❤
Each time I say to myself, 'THIS is my favourite episode', you go and make a 'more' favourite.
The one thing this series does time and time again is show the grandeur and vastness of the world! Happy birthday and thanks for brightening my day one more time.
She certainly is a precious young lady and adventurer!
In Germany, it`s usual, if someone has his birthday, he gets birthday gifts from his friends.
Today, WE got another amazing present from you, your actual desert episode. Thank you so much, Noraly !!!
@@tee8839 Dude, don´t be rude.He just wanted to express that usualy it´s the birthday girl that gets presents from friends .And that we are all lucky bc its the other way around here with this beautiful video. No reason to mock s.o about not being a native speaker ... you totally understood that just fine.
Awesome drone footage! Where do you get the beautiful music from? Happy birthday!
Wat een geweldige plaats zeg! Mooie video, de omgeving is schitterend. En jouw verblijf ook. Veel veilige km’s!
Have you seen the Hawk comming for the drone at the end?? Many thanks for the beautyful videos!

What an amazing lodge to see out in isolation like that. For someone in the US it's unreal how far you can ride without even passing another vehicle. Your journey is taking adventure to another level and we are so lucky to be able to travel along with you.
Mark Owsley • I 💯% agree, I live in the U.S as well near The Great Lakes. I hope Noraly comes further North on her travels threw the United States 🇺🇸🤟
I've been watching Noraly since her trek in India, and every new season and episode I'm amazed by her. Noraly is truly living life to the fullest, and graciously allowing millions of people to join her. What a beautiful person she is inside and out. Her videos make me happy and moved after watching them.
Completely agree with you! She in an incredible and powerful woman!
Me too , and I agree her journey has been incredible , maks you want to be a close friend , but she never stays still long enough.
I want to see her get back to So America.
That just a lone young Dutch lady can put in all these miles and still put out such incredible content with such spectacular cinematic quality every few days, is amazing. I always look forward to these videos.
Just shows what you can do with drive, determination, and talent.

I agree Maikel. 👍
'young' is relative
That sunset drone shot is SPECTACULAR, really breathtaking! Probably one of the best shots in RUclips, thank you for regaling us with your traveling and experiences, we enjoy every second of it
This will always be one of your favorite videos for me.
What a stunning landscape, what colors, the deserted lodge and your amazing ride through deepest sand.
Thumbs up. That was incredible.
Happy Birthday Noraly! Love all the the adventures you share. Stay safe, keep well, and happy trails!
Your evening drone footage is the icing on an adventurous days travel cake.
I agree, simply amazing!!
Spent nearly a month in Namibia... It surely was one of the countries that left the best memories. Thank you for taking me back.
As a Namibian I am so proud to hear these kind words from you. Your are so right, even so the desert is dry, it reflects so many colors and panoramic views, it’s just incredible.
As we would say, the desert is alive.
The last image says it all:
"The true lone rider".
Keep riding safely Noraly.
Namibië die mooiste land in die wêreld!♥️🇿🇦
Geluk met jou verjaarsdag. 🥂
I love the Easter egg that Noralys gives those viewers that hang around for the end. A bird chases the drone, at 21:44, and is positively Disney-esque. What a treat!
Love the music, it goes with the visuals of an ancient timeless land.
Love it as well. Reminds me of the song Caravans by Mike Bat.
I get very emotional watching the drone footage, especially with the music you play along side it. I lost my dear wife two years ago and I just know how much she would have loved and followed you Noraly. Happy Birthday and stay safe young lady.
Regards, Terry.
Condolences Terry. I watch her travels wishing my deceased dear husband could be watching with me. Emotional...yes. 😪
Happy birthday, Noraly, and a million miles of adventures yet to come!
Thanks Thomas!! 🥳😊
@@ItchyBoots Feliz Cumpleaños Noraly desde Argentina
Noraly happy Birthday 🎉🎂 ,God bless
This was one of my most favorite vids of your travels in S. Africa and Namibia to date. Also, the episode with you and the security team at the diamond mine was great. Totally opposite in context, this episode features you literally alone in nature, while diamond mine episode shows you in interaction with total strangers in a foreign land! Many of the other vids in this series showed awesome features, but these two showed you and your relationship in different circumstances!
@itchyboots One of the things I really love about these videos is the attention to detail in editing. Like at 12:17 when you make the extra effort to fade out the sound of the air pump as the drone flies off. Those little things are the things that make these videos next-level good.
Hello Noraly, for me as middle european it is unbeleavable how vast this area of our good earth is. Your dronage shows it as well what a great scenery it is because how tiny tiny you are on your bike. I am speechless i have to admit and thankfull to see this beautyness thru your camera eyes. Stay save and healthy and as always keep the rubber to the road, greetings from Germany.
My goodness! What an awesome job of showing how beautiful 'nothing' is.
Thats everything.
Very well conveyed sir!
She is beautiful
yes the country I live in is beautiful very beautiful love my country
Less is truly more…
The videography and especially the drone footage is superb. You are getting better and better at this. The beautiful light in Namibia helps of course.
How incredibly beautiful is Namibia 🇳🇦
A very happy birthday to you Noraly! Thank you for taking us to so many places along with you! :-)
Generally what media shows about nature is greenary and snow capes of Europe and other asian countries but while watching your African series made me amazed how beautiful these deserts and mountains. Especially those drone shots in this video 😍😍😍
I have always been fascinated by Namibia. This episode definitely reinforces my conviction to visit it some day. Thanks, Noraly, for showing us around. The Namibian tourist board owes you ;-)
Happy birthday Noraly, thank you for showing us a unique part of the world.
That lodge looks like someone has built a house on the moon.
Wow, wow, wow! What an outstanding episode. Once again, the drone shots capture the vastness and colour that you just can’t appreciate from ground level. Thank you for taking the time to take these aerial shots. I have to agree with you, there is something special about being in such a remote and beautiful place.
Noraly: You really outdid yourself on this episode! The drone scenes starting at minute 5 are unbelieveable. I never knew that a desert could be so beautiful!
Happy Birthday Noraly, we love you, take care and keep riding ❤❤❤❤
This brings so many memories for me that spend my childhood years in Namibia. Thank you very much and best wishes. Hope to show my wife Namibia soon. K
It's only when the drone goes up you realise how small we really are.
Her drone footage are amazing..for sure….
Truly insignificant…
Yeah, I could live there. No neighbors and no grass to cut. Just an occasional visitor every few years. As others have said, the drone footage is great.
Absolutely!!
Same here!
Plenty of places just as remote.
@@selrahc2061 don’t be a Pratt and just enjoy beautiful Namibia. It is a stunning country. I have been there many times.
I invite you to embrace Islam, and be safe in this world and the Hereafter. If you refuse, the fire of Hell is prepared by Allah for the unbelievers !
Some superb drone footage, absolutely stunning scenery and that lodge at the end was unbelievable. It's hard to imagine anywhere so far removed from civilisation, the ultimate getaway.
I was thinking same and amazed to see
In the middle of the definition of "nowhere", next to a pile of rocks, there's a lodge... unreal, amazing... no better way of getting close to nature. I was in Namibia a few years back, re-visiting old memories from the war... what a magical place... "Itchy Boots", you have a unique way to bring a human back to it's roots! fantastic channel! Well done!
Namibia is a beautiful country and your route is painting a masterpiece of light and colour. I'm so enjoying reliving places and emotions, none more so that the incredible drone footage (and the beautiful accompanying music) Happy (belated) birthday and I can imagine a nicer place to celebrate it in.
ps I think the grasshopper thought the same.... "How did she get in here.... She is massive...."
Happy birthday Noraly! Glad those oryx (Gemsbok) could greet you on your special day.
12:30 Now that's what I call 'multitasking'. Reflating your tyres and flying the drone at the same time. Great footage yet again Noraly.
I wondered about the same
So clever to self-produce a scene like that. I let out a "Niiiiice" for that one.
thought the same ahah
THE SOUNDTRACK IS SO EXCITING,, I LOVE IT 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad to hear that you are loved our beautiful country, you are welcome to stay here 🌹💯❤️🇳🇦👍👌
The drone footage took my breath away at the conclusion. The desert is ominous, I don't always see what your trained eye sees, and often wonder how you manage to find the most modern, safe place to stay in the middle of absolutely no where! A swimming pool ~ !! What an oasis!
It seems a bizarre place for a lodge, I wonder how many people get there to stay, but glad it was there anyway.
@@thetessellater9163 Namibia is a very popular tourist destination mainly for people from Europe and is well known and promoted. I expect the pandemic is keeping people away at this time. That swimming pool looks inviting but I know that in winter the temperature can fall well below freezing.
@@thetessellater9163 one of the best lodges on this route. Due to Covid numbers has dwindled unfortunately.
Thanks for opening my eyes to Namibia !
I was aware of it's existence before but didn't know much about it other than it was country in a desert.
Your drone shots are just outstanding Noraly !
I’ve gone back and re-watched this. The Namib desert is a treasure. Thank you so much for taking us on this wonderful journey.
😲 wow that last lodge...just magnificent!!!
I have introduced my 80 yo dad to your channel. I am now bored of telling him, "Yes, she is on her own" and "No, she does not have a camera crew with her." Great videography. Keep up the great work. Inspirational in so many ways.
Speechless. I've used "epic" before. "Epic" was just the opening take. What can I say. The drone shots - perfect. Now I have to recover from the smile on my face of over 23 minutes. Wow.
It never ceases to amaze me that there is a modern, beautiful lodge in what looks like the middle of nowhere. And how does she find these places. It was fun to see the little bird in front of the drone near the end of the episode. Be safe please.
Stunning video, thanks! Sociable veawer bird nests is the name! My beautiful Namibia. You've shown me some incredible places that haven't seen before! Thanks again! 🙏❤️💐
I get goosebumps from watching this. Traveling like this is just a dream.
Noraly, please stop playing with our hearts. These drone shots are out of this world!
who is filming them?
@@mreverly I think she did it very clever in this case. Her back is facing the camera, so she's probably holding the remote controller between her and the bike, so it looks like she's still messing with the tire pressure, but meanwhile she's actually flying the drone. The other drone shots of her riding is probably the drone autopilot. I'm not sure what drone she uses, but I've flown a DJI Phantom a few years back, and it had an auto-tracking mode. So you would just point at an object on the screen, and it would follow that object, and keep it in frame very smoothly. I can imagine the technology of newer drones only got better.
@@Moranah she use DJI Mavic Air
That's what you call space!
Noraly my name is james and I have been following your journey for some time. I have to say I agree with you whole heartedly about the views Crossing the Namib Desert Eps -45 they where absolutly spectecular. I know I'm year behind but those views do not age, like a lot of the comments if it hasn't already happened you deserve an award of some sort for your photograhy it is magnifencent one clip of the place you stayed in with the Red Granite back drop beggers beleaf. Love your work & your journey and I understand your want for solitude . Some yrs ago we owned a small 5 ac place 45 mn out of the city, we made the mastake of moving back. that was 20 yr ago I can still hear the back ground noise of traffic & people. Take care stay safe my friend .⚘❤👍jf
Wow!... Spectacular scenery and excellent footage. Thank you so much 👍
Noraly, I Have been with you sense season 1 Esp 5 this is one of the most epic videos yet. I never like to repeat what 40 other people have already said but time I must. I have a special place in my hart for you mainly because my wife is Dutch and you inspired me to get back into riding after a near fatal motorcycle accident .
Yes Jim, she is such an inspiration, wonderful to know you are riding again....may you have safe journeys.
"Run Forrest!" 😂😂😂
No other people and surrounded by nature... absolutely agree with you. Awesome...
I said it before and I will say it again. WONDERESS, scenery with the sound track fits like a glove. This lady should get her own "channel" and just ride. I would invest.
This is her own channel
The golden African sun is doing it's magic on our queen. Happy birthday Noraly! Keep traveling 😍😍
I would’ve never thought there would be a lodge out in the Desert like that. I’m assuming it may be a hunting lodge. A truly beautiful area to relax the body and soul. I’ve followed you since India and you have taken me to some amazing places. Africa has really been a treat. Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸
Wow. Bring back memories as a child. Region I was born raised and now a adult. I appreciate you for appreciating my vast open dry but beautiful country and showing it to the world.
How anyone (in their right mind) could give a "thumbs down" is beyond me.
Its called Jellousy.
Jellousy is the reason..

Just beautiful scenery, especially when you were putting air in your tires. The place you were staying looks awesome. Everyone hit the thumbs up button…thanks for the ride.
So many wallpapers can come out of those stunning landscape drone shots! And you are glowing Noraly!
Every episode seems to get better and better....the scenery, the geological lessons, the music, the lessons on motorcycling. Being a photographer, I pay attention to the composition, colors and light as well as the editing and music. Simply amazing. Now I am looking for a new episode everyday..... but do rest some Noraly. I received my t-shirt and tube scarf. I love them both. I got the same for a friend and he says that they are his favorites. I wanted to get this surprise for him because he turned me on to these amazing videos. It's like going to school and on vacation at the same time. Thank you Noraly.
Wow wow wow absolutely breathtaking experience. Your way of expressing what you see & feel is truly an inspiration. Always a spark runs thru watching each episodes🙂👍👍👍👍.
Itchy - It is amazing that you make the most desolate places on earth interesting and beautiful!
one of the best so far. a desolate but magnificent road with stunning landscape, just the way noraly likes it :)
Staggering , staggering, staggering episode with incredible Drone footage, accompanied by the perfect sound track. Like something out of a big budget movie. This woman deserves her own series on Discovery Chanel. Should at least be nominated for some kind of movie award.
The young oryx was thinking: "I'm going to be on Noraly's channel!" and had to run with you for a while.
Aaaaaaaaa
Wow yet another video full of incredible footage the drone shots at the end are fantastic. Be honest how many wanted to see Noraly jump into the swimming pool at the end. This should be a national television series. Stay safe Noraly xxx
I echo all the sentiments expressed.
This country is absolutely gorgeous! And to think some are spending millions to establish a colony on Mars! What a waste! Prachtig werk Noraly! Hartelijk gefeliciteerd met jou verjaardag! God bless you!
@@markmark2080 Agreed. Why not use those billions of dollars to make areas here on Earth (more) liveable?

EXCELLENT choice of music for this one!!
My fix for today. Travelling with Noraly, seeing amazing things.🌿I'm old now, but this young woman lets me live my dreams by proxy. An amazing human being and have you noticed how good she is with pple in difficult situations? Amazing! I sort of fell into this channel with season Patagonia to Alaska and now I'm watching all seasons. Thank you Noraly💞
Completely alone in the desert. With a fantastic accommodation for yourself. And a mountain with incredible boulders of various minerals just behind. Congratulations! You deserve it 🙏🥰💪🏼
Really, really, REALLY, appreciate your taking the time and effort to setup and record your drone shots (05:03, 05:31, 10:16, 10:45, etc.). They are absolutely breathtaking and you are majorly AWESOME!
Rojer any idea about the title of those music
Your response to the nature reflects your blue eyes depth ...
welcome to the land of the brave Noraly ,feel free and save ,very much proud of you
Noraly, this is definitly one of the most beautiful videos you have made so far ! The images and the music are perfect ! It is very moving! Stay safe and thanks again for sharing these world wonders with us all
A David Attenborough without the expensive crew and vast equipment and travelling mostly on a very environmentally friendly machine instead of flying everywhere then criticising everyone else about global warming/climate change - Norally, for me, is doing a far better job in making the world and it's people, it's flora & fauna a beautiful place without being hypocritical, sanctimonious and duplicitous - there's another word but my brain is frazzled from the beautiful content I've just thoroughly enjoyed.
Happy Birthday Norally
I tell anyone who'll listen - Nam is the most photogenic place ever. After this video, I still think that way.
This clip just redefines “epic” to be EPIC. Fantastic.
For info, a Boomslang (translated as tree snake) is an extremely venomous snake that specialises in hunting small creatures. They do not fall from a tree, rather they drop down out of a tree to surprise their prey. Saving grace for adult humans is that this snake has a fairly small mouth and would struggle bite anything other than a finger.
Another fabulous introduction to a new area. Enjoy!!
One of your best videos so far, I enjoyed everything about it - especially the shots from the drone.
One of the most impressive videos, mixed with epic music and also with your gentle personality and smile, kept us stuck in the armchair. Thanks for sharing
Noraly, why is it, that no matter what is going on in my life, every time that I watch your videos, it makes me happy! Keep on riding N !!!!
This is so true, especially when I am stressed. When I have had a difficult day, my hubby always says " Go and watch Itchy Boots. You will feel better". Thank you to Noraly for all her beautiful videos and music.
Magnificent! It must be incredible to be alone in this vastness. Your final drone footage was so beautiful! As a South African, I have always wanted to visit this beautiful country, so thank you :)
The drone shots really emphasis how insignificant we are in the vast landscape of earth. Beautiful. You find the most amazing places to stay.
We get the Drone , footage view but you get the best view most of the time as I see you fly , some sort of a glider.
I can only imagine what it would be like to star gaze out there in the middle of nowhere in total darkness. WOW !!!
I can confirm it’s awesome
Noraly, always so positive, you fill your life with so much knowledge as you go to these extreme parts of the world, stay safe.
Simply breathtaking! The vastness and solitude of the Namibian desert is like something from another planet! Just WOW, before your journey through Africa I had no idea just how wonderful Africa could be. Thank you Noraly. Let's go!
This video was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. What an amazing place. Noraly you and what you do is such an amazing Gift.
It's amazing that there's A lodge in the middle of the vast Namib desert! Wow! Never cease to discover new things on your channel.
Would be great if you could share the location of these accommodations as well in your description, in case one day some of us wants to come visit, following the itchy trails 😊.
Anyways, Happy Birthday Noraly.
Oh, we loving the cinematic ending on these last 2 videos!
In the video are enough hints to find these accommodations with a little help of google maps. I found Gästefarm Tiras in 2 min. Greenfire Desert Lodge took me half an hour because there are 2 locations where the C27 and D826 meet . The prices that pop up are the prices German tourists have to pay. Usually 1 million tourists a year , now a handfull. When you give them call 1 or 2 days in advance you can get a mindblowing deal. Searching for this is a learning adventure by itself. Next time it's up to you.
Super super super like the starting frames, the very cute tyre pressure air pump sounds composed together with Namib music.👍
The drone footage of the sun setting at the end was EPIC!
All by yourself with nature is indeed a very special feeling. Namibia seem to offer a lot of that. I"ll put in on my bucket list.
