Thanks for sharing your childhood memories of your cultures food...everything looked delicious...have a great til Sat 👍...😊🤗
Yes! I'm glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching Jade. See you Saturday!
Wow 😮😮expensive? Rather have Korean bbq buffet
Exactly what I immediately thought
While I don't disagree and love my KBBQ, there's just some dishes you can't get and I really enjoyed them here. Thanks for watching!
$29.95 for spicy pork bulgogi, wow.
Best to order the combos for the BBQ. Thanks for watching!
Shin, what a treat to see you totally in your culinary element. Your expertise in the dishes and light in your eyes when you think of the times you enjoyed the dishes is heartening. I have noticed that Tonkatsu and cabbage is catching on in many restaurants. Thanks for this delightful review!
Yes! Been a while since I had Korean food so this was a delight. Thanks for watching!
Seafood pancake looked good. And the seafood combo sounded good.
Yes! The seafood pancake was really tasty! I liked it a lot. Thanks for watching!
We really LOVED eating at Mr Tofu. Just the 15 free sides were overwhelming and the appetizers and main dished we ordered were outstanding! It's a definite must try place. Thanks for your video, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nice! I'm glad you enjoyed Mr. Tofu as well! Yes, lots of banchan here and good food. Thanks for watching!
SO happy to see that Mr Tofu didn't disappoint!!! Those huge ribs! I'm not normally a fan of mixing gravy and cheese (I see you KFC) but I would make an exception for this!
Yes! The spicy cheese galbijim is still on my mind. It was so good. Definitely worth breaking some rules for trying it out. Thanks for watching!
I really want to try a Korean Restaurant now looks great and I love spicy food. Thanks Shin 🇳🇿👍
I highly recommend giving it a try! Thanks for watching!
Looking great Shin! Ty for another great restaurant review!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Clean, well lit with a comfortable feel. Dishes looked delicious. Always appreciate your efforts. Stay hungry for us!
Yes, I really liked it here! Thanks for watching!
That's in the same strip mall that has Ichiza Izakaya Original. You should review that one. I went there last year during Memorial Day weekend for a big pro-wrestling weekend that had several Japanese pro-wrestlers in town. When I showed up three of the Japanese wrestlers that were in town were having dinner there. Which leads me to believe that they're probably highly recommended within those circles.
I've actually been to Ichiza Izakaya. It's very good I agree. I have them on the list and I'll post them up eventually. Thanks for watching!
Wow, great to see the variety of Korean dishes. I haven’t had much, so it was good to see. My mom was Japanese and I grew up eating Tonkatsu but I noticed that it was called Donkatsu. Is that a Korean thing?
Might be. They might be putting in D's in place of some T's. I hadn't thought about that. Thanks for watching!
Oh yum!!! All of this looked so good!
When I lived in Vegas. I loved going to this place called BabyStacks . I lived about 20 mins from the strip. It's so delicious!
My son and I will be there in a couple weeks and we are excited to hit a buffet😋
I've driven by Baby Stacks several times but never went in. I'll have to try it out. I hope you and your son have a great time! Thanks for watching!
Aloha Shin! We have driven past Mr Tofu dozens of times. Gonna have to stop next time, that was looking pretty good! Last time we ate Korean in Vegas we went to Lee's on Sprimg Mountain. Mahalo for the big words and big bites! ❤
I'll have to try out Lee's. I've actually been meaning to. Mahalo! Thanks for watching!
i used to love going here after hours but they close around 10pm now so not so much anymore due to limited parking. went recently and food was still really good and they still give you tons of bon chon. prices seem to have gone up also. still worth going if you don't mind searching for parking or ubering over.
The parking lot here and across the street at Shanghai Plaza are pretty bad. But once you're in, you have so many great options. Thanks for watching!
I definitely want to try the Chef Special, looked so delicious
It's so good! I definitely recommend trying it. Thanks for watching Steph!
Food from your childhood just hits different.
I have had a few Korean dishes, and really liked them.
Yes! Nostalgia is the strongest spice in book. Thanks for watching!
Great video Shin! I used to hate soon dubu growing up but I can't get enough of it now. Hope you can review a Korean-Chinese restaurants that serve jjajang myun and jjam ppong! Gunbae!
We actually went to jin jin twice last month. We like it very much.
I really only know of one of those places. I'll look around. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Just mute the music. LOL. - ruclips.net/user/shortsm3xsRyi-tiA?si=R6EbMmS4WMHBU7VS
Enjoyed the video Shin where you showed some of your childhood favorites! Thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed! I had a great time making this one. Thanks for watching!
I'd love to see you Try The Crash and Burn restaurant on Fremont
I'll add them to the list! Thanks for watching!
Hey Shin . Nice review! Never really had authentic Korean just Korean bbq joints which is I guess pretty run of the mill americanized some what like Chinese and such . Very interesting dishes . The looked wonderful. I would pass on the cold plate's, just not a fan in any culture . Might give it a try though kinda a little pricey . Do many locals frequent the place. For off the strip seems kinda pricey . Nice quality of the dishes I must say . See ya next vid ! ❤
Korean dishes seem to be one of the more expensive out of the popular Asian styles of cuisine. The place was about 80% full when I first arrived I'd say. I stayed passed closing when I took the b roll. Thanks for watching!
Yes! I want my soondubu to be spicy too. Thanks for the review.
Here's someone who knows! Gotta have it spicy!! Thanks for watching!
Lactose intolerant Korean guy here. Cheese on Galbi-jjim? WHY. Other than that, the food looked alright but a bit pricy.
Even though most of us Koreans end up lactose intolerant, we just love our cheese lol. Corn cheese, corn dogs with crazy cheese pull, etc. I certainly love it lol. Thanks for watching!
Love the Cold Noodle Soup and Places that serve Yukhoe
Not really into Their Tofu Soup/Stew, i find it a bit Salty
✌✌
Nice, yeah good stuff! Thanks for watching!
Korean American here! So excited to watch this, I really love 8 oz in Chinatown but always open to new spots here in town!
8oz is incredible. Really great there. But for staples, they got solid offerings here at Mr. Tofu. It was good! Thanks for watching!
It all looked so good to me . Thanks so much for another great job Shin ! Now I’m hungry again lol
Glad you liked it Kyle! Thanks for watching!
VWS: Excellent restaurant, love the diversity of food and the price/value was excellent. But $2.95 for a can of soda was a bit expensive. Overall great local choice. See you Saturday Peace ✌️ 😌 ☺️ 😊 🤗 ✨️ ✌️ 😌 ☺️ 😊 🤗 ✨️ ✌️
Very nice! Yes, I really liked this place. Thanks for watching and see you Saturday!
It’s quiet and has lunch special combos. I like it
I really liked it here as well! I'll have to see about the lunch combos. Thanks for watching!
Korean food is one of the few types of food I’ve seen where the pictures look exactly like the presented dish :) I’m Japanese but prefer Korean food lol.
One of my favourite comfort foods is budae jjiggae but I didn’t see it on the menu. Unfortunately I’m too lazy to rewind and search lol.
Another great review, Shin! Thanks for this!
Army stew is so good !! I don't recall seeing it on the menu here. I agree, pictures almost always look like the dish. It's so nice! Thanks for watching!
nice Korean spot, good food
Very good! I had a great time! Thanks for watching panjo!
Nice, I've seen that place before. I've eaten late night at Ichiza (which you could see upstairs in the intro shot before entering Mr Tofu) a couple of times. I'll have to give Mr Tofu a try as well.
I've also had Ichiza a few times as well. I like it there. I'll do a video from there sometime. Thanks for watching!
I love authentic korean food. They definitely hit on all the the staples... you can tell by just looking at it that koreans are running the place.
Yes! A majority Korean staff here and the staples were solid. I liked it a lot. Thanks for watching!
Not a restaurant but they have food, but the golden tiki rocks mainly for their drinks and atmosphere. But they do have food.
I've thought about doing a video at Golden Tiki but the sound comes out pretty rough. I'll give it some more thought. Thanks for watching!
Will try the resturant! Always thought you are Chinese, now I know you are Korean. Great!
Yes, Korean-American here! Thanks for watching!
Good stuff really like watching your videos. Have done a video at Good Pie?
I'm glad you enjoyed! I haven't done a video at Good Pie yet. I'll be starting an arts district series here pretty soon and maybe I'll include them then. Thanks for watching!
Do you have a suggestion for Korean dishes that someone who doesn't like spicy food can eat?
Korean BBQ, the non-spicy galbijjim, and the appetizers could serve as entrees as well. There's also fried whole fish that's a staple. That's a couple of suggestions. Thanks for watching!
excited to try out all the delicious recommendations!
That galbijjim was magic. So good! Thanks for watching!
Have you eaten at Jin Jin korean/chinese on the 2nd level of where Sushi Neko is?
I have not tried them but I do have them on the list! I'll check it out eventually. Thanks for watching!
When I go for Korean, I always go for BBQ...we never order these dishes...I'm going to ensure I try them whether in Vegas or Toronto. Esp your fav tofu stew. Thank you John!!
Yes, I typically find myself at KBBQ restaurants when I'm eating Korean food so a lot of these dishes were a treat for me this video. Definitely worth giving a try. Thanks for watching!
Hey Shin! Good looking food! I enjoy your reviews.
Glad you like them! Great food here. Thanks for watching!
Dying to try this restaurant. Would you recommend the Bibimbap? I’ll be in Vegas this weekend. Thanks Shin for another great review!😊
Yes absolutely recommend the bulgogi bibimbap. It was so good. I hope you enjoy your trip this weekend! Thanks for watching Diane!
the prices are ridiculous
Korean cuisine outside of all you can eat BBQ is pretty pricey agreed. Thanks for watching!
If you like vietnamese food, pho and beyond is good!!!
I'll add them to the list to check out! Thanks for watching!
I don't how many times I pass by here when I go to Korean Gardens KBBQ on the 2nd floor of that plaza. I always wanted to check this place and would like to try more Korean food that isn't a kbbq place.
It's a solid place. KBBQ is just the most cost effective way to have Korean food but I definitely suggest trying more. Thanks for watching Jerry! Maybe I'll see you at LVL UP Expo this weekend!
@@VegaswithShin I hope to see you at Lvlup as well. I might be cosplaying during Lvlup but I'll keep and eye out for you

Hi Shin,
I’m a long time Subscriber and Thumbs up on all your videos.I’m a local also. I was hoping you could help me out ? I have company coming to town and they are BIG on Sushi !
Would you mind recommending your best sushi restaurant in the Spring Mountain area or off strip area ? Let’s say your top 3 places that come to mind.
Price doesn’t matter, ambience doesn’t matter, just good quality sushi. I trust your reviews and your opinion. I have no idea where to start so you’d be a huge HELP !
Thank You,
David.
Kaiseki Yuzu and Kaiseki Sanga would be my recommendations to fit your needs. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Shin,
Thank you so much my friend. Writing these down and your HUGE help.
Looking forward too and liking your future content ! And just for fun I really like watching your facial expressions when the uh-oh this might not be so good of a bite….LOL.
Thanks Agian 👍,
David.
Hi Shin, nice vid. Beautiful food and enjoyed your commentary as always, because it is your native cuisine. Karla in Cali. More please!
Thanks Karla! I really enjoyed making this one. Thanks for watching
The Chef’s Specials seem outrageously priced at $86. Have you tried Tratorria Nakamura? Have hard good things about it but haven’t had the chance to make it out there yet.
I have not been to Ttratorria Nakamura. I'll add them to the list!! Thanks for watching!
I have only tried Korean-style food twice. I honestly can not remember what I had, but I do remember it being somewhat bitter. I can not stand bitter. So is what I got typical of Korean food, or was mine just bitter? I know; how the hell would you know, haha. But I guess what I am wondering is whether Korean food is naturally on the bitter side. What you had looked good.
I would say Korean flavors lean more tangy or spicy. But certainly some bitter dishes as well. Thanks for watching!
The tofu soup from Tang Together is definitely worth trying! Great banchan and friendly service too!
I'll add them to the list! Thanks for the suggestion!
I'm sure others have said it. The new hairstyle was need 😆. Looks great bud.
I'm glad you like it lol. It wasn't a style choice before. I was growing it to donate it. Thanks for watching!
I love how the stew is boiling. It just looks so good and fresh. Everything looked delish.
Everything was made to order so it can take a little time but it just tastes so good when it's piping hot like that. Thanks for watching Potato!
Enjoyed the video.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
Thank you Shin! That all looked so amazing! I can't wait to try it!
Yes! I'm glad it looked good! I hope you like it when you try it. Thanks for watching Ruth!
👍🤠
Thanks for watching Vickie!
Who has the best Soondubu in Vegas? I loooooove it!
Believe it or not, this is only the 2nd place I've had it at that wasn't part of a KBBQ location so I can't say with good authority. I'll have to try some more. Thanks for watching!
@VegaswithShin I've only had it in vegas at the foodcout in Greenland. It was actually pretty good there but I need to find some other spots here in Vegas
Love the Galbi and Bulgogi!
Yes! It was so tasty! Thanks for watching!
I love Korean food I must try there.
Yes! I hope you like it if you go! Thanks for watching!
The food must bring you memories .
It really did. Lots of great memories
Great review. Question about the tofu dish served in a savory broth- soon dubu- is the broth made with beef, chicken or pork stock? Also, did the restaurant impose a 20-25% tip, so many restaurants in the China Town Plaza have started doing that hoping customers wouldn't complain.
I couldn't say for Mr. Tofu for certain, but I want to say it was just water. I wasn't aware of any kind of pre-tip, but I'm also too lazy to go check the receipt at the end. Thanks for watching!
Shin! Thank you for sharing the food of your people!!! ❤ is there a reason why the word “soon” is used with tofu?
It translates to "soft tofu" from it boiling. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin ah! Learned something new!!! Thank you!!!
👑♥️🤘
Whooooooooooooaaaa ❤delish!!!!
Really good here! Thanks for watching David!
Yqw, have a great day til Sat* just seen what I typed ( sry ) 🤦🤣
you should do kbbq and hot pot
I got a few good places on the list. I'll probably try a good hot pot place here soon. Thanks for watching!
Do you see the old school Kim Chee Soup available anymore in any Korean restaurant, not the thicker soup/stew with mostly tofu?
Like a standard kimchee jiggae? I'm pretty sure Mr. Tofu has it.
@@VegaswithShin Yes, the Kim Chee Jjigae. It has disappeared from the K restaurants here in SF, at least all ones I've been to the last 15 years. Here, regardless whether the restaurant calls it Soup or Stew, it always comes out as Soon Dubu.
I will be sure to try to find it at Mr Tofu when I next visit Vegas. Thanks. It will be great if you keep it lookout for it in your future videos and hopefully order it review.
When I was a teenager, I had a fight with my stepfather and ran away from home. I was in the streets during cold rainy season and got really sick. I went over the my friends house in the middle of the night with a 103 degree fever. His mom made the Jjigae extra super spicy, insisted I drink down every drop of the fiery red hot liquid, then rolled me up in a blanket like a burrito and sang to me in Korean until I fell asleep. Next morning I woke up feeling like I was King of the World. Ever since that eyent, every time I feel something coming on, I went to a K restaurant and ordered it at the highest heat level they dared and it always worked like a charm, until suddenly, the normal restaurant I went to changed ownership and the new cook suddenly made that same menu item into a Soon Dubu which had very little liquid, just a bit of minced Kim Chee and pork, hardly spicy at all, and almost nothing but tofu.
SERVICE IS TERRIBLE HERE!!!!
Really? I had no issues the night I went. Thanks for watching!
All the Best Sushi restaurants are on Spring Mountain Rd.
So much good food on Spring Mountain. Thanks for watching!
