I went one year in the fall, so the weather was cold and rainy off and on. It’s a nice walk up through the wooded area and the vendor selling a fresh donut like pastry hit the spot! I would like to go back and go inside, didn’t get to last time. I think winter would be wonderful (I’m from a pretty warm climate year round and I do enjoy some winter snow)
We have visited the Castle once. Tuely speaking, I would like to visit King Ludwig II creation again, the castle and surrounding area are breathtaking and also wonderful which cannot explain ., we have witness.
AmazingWorld I didnt buy any entrance tickets and saw the castle from all those angles. You need the ticket for seeing the interiors. Maybe for Marienbrucke, not sure.
@@stefanbendik26 thank you so much i an planning to visit central europe starting from Munich - Fussen - Munich - Prague - Krakow (Poland) - Vienna - Bratislava - Budapest - Ljubljana -Budapest Done ! 😁 Your Tutorials are awesome thanks for giving your time !
Thank you for this informative video. I’m going to this castle in a month’s time and has been debating whether to go on my own or follow a guided tour. Given I don’t speak German I was apprehensive about taking a bus etc but your video might have changed my mind!
I was there before and it is easy even if you don't speak German. I am taking my wife in late May as she has never been. Looking forward to seeing it again!
Thanks for the tips on your video. I really appreciated it. I will do this trip from Munich to Fussen following your comments. I have 2 questions: Did you buy the train ticket to go and to come back together? I will go alone next November. I am brazilian but I do speak english. Where do you pay for the 73 or 78 bus to the Castle?
Hello there -- thanks for this video. I'm going over Xmas and NYE this year, and I loved that you went during the winter, as well! Quick question: some of those photos/videos you got from a birds eye view of the castle...is that easily accessible? I'm assuming there's a path that goes around the castle or above the castle? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Flixbus has a direct service from munich central bus station to Neuschwanstein, Schwangau. isn't that right? seems cheaper than the train+bus combination ride and less time as well. what do you say?
TheGlobalDoc You are right. There is bus that goes straight to Neuschwanstein. Flix bus ticket is about £12 for one way and takes around 2 hours. Bayern Ticket covers both train and bus rides for the entire day. So in term of price and travel time, I would say they are indifferent.
Appreciated for the video. Hi all, I got a question. My case is I'm planning to depart from Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle around 7am, I was guided to buy the Bayern ticket, so I can save more money for 2 tickets. Is it safe to buy the ticket on the spot or it is better to book online in advance? Anyone can advise me? Thanks.
I've read that they are readily available and it shouldn't be a problem buying it on site but I have not been myself and will be going in September. Best of luck.
Try searching “Marienbrücke” in google map. I think the entrance to Marienbrücke will be barricaded during the winter months. Be careful as the trail will be slippery.
Hi there, Bayern Ticket will cover the bus ride. Please refer to www.bahn.com/en/offers/regional/regional-day-ticket-for-bavaria to find out which bus services are excluded.
But I heard mixed reviews of the Visit. Some say the Entry is not worth it. It is good to see the castle from the outside and return. What are your thoughts?
Personally, the main selling point of this attraction is its unique architecture style most of which are only observable from outside and afar. The view from the observation deck is more break taking than walking inside the castle. Having said that, if you have time and money to explore the interiors, I do not see why not. If time is of the essence, then see the castle from the outside and return - you are not missing anything much :D
May I know where you took the distance shot of the castle. it looks amazing. Does the normal route up the castle gets you to the location of the distance shot or it's somewhere else? Love your video by the way.
I took it near Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge). It’s accessible to the public except during the winter months. I kind of sneaked in with a friend. The view from there is mesmerizing through out the year anyway.

Thanks a lot, went today according to your instructions and it went smoothly (apart from a train that broke down)
How was it ?
Nice, caught a glimpse of the castle bathing in last sunrays of the day. Mission accomplished ✔️
@@stefanbendik26 ok Can we see the castle from points which are shown in the end of the videor without buying the ticket for 30min hike ?

Does the horse carriage operate in Saturday..?
What month did you shoot this video?
When did you go here? The snow makes it all the more beautiful
End of Feb or early March.
What time will I be back in Munich?
Very nicely explained and presented video. How much was the ticket cost to enter inside the castle
Thanks. It’s about €17.50. You can buy from the official website ->

@explorersdiary8461 thank you 😊
what time to get snow at FUSSEN?
we went there during christmas and there was snow
I am going there in a month, great guide video, which spot is 3:36 and 4:12? How can i get there?

Hi there ! Can we just see the castle from outside , or reach the point where your video was shot in last 30seconds ? Without buying tickets
Yes. I didn't purchase any ticket on this trip. You don't have to spend a dime to enjoy the view :D
Is the Mary’s bridge open during December
Hard to say as it depends on the weather. The Bridge will only be closed during heavy snowfall. Based on my experience, early December should be ok.
Explorer's Diary thanks
Only relied on luck then
Hi! How do we get tickets for the shuttle bus 73/78 to the ticket office? Or how do we pay for the ride? :)

Are you able to video inside?
Lailani Krystian sadly no

Explorer's Diary Thank you for your response. I think i will stick to the outside views. Moreover i heard the trip is only 30 minutes.
Thank you.
