All great advice , after all my travelling i would suggest that you absolutely need travel insurance , this is blindly obvious but I have a freind who literally had to mortgage her home to pay for an operation she needed on a cruise in America because she was too cheap to pay $150 for insurance ,also as a frequent vacationer I would suggest that once you've packed for the trip (and not at the last minute) you pull out two thirds of the clothes youve packed and leave them at home , nobody you meet will know how often you wear something ,and if they are Aussies they couldn't give a rat's anyway. This leaves lots more room for unnecessary cheesy Chinese made souvenirs to take home for the rel's. Anyway all you need for a holiday in Australia is a hat,a t shirt a pair of shorts a pair of thongs and your budgies and you'll be right . Though if your planning a sophisticated night out you might want to bring an extra t shirt and a pair of jeans ,oh I almost forgot buy a cheap pack of 7 pairs of grundies that way you can chuck them away after a couple of wears, not only does it cut down on luggage weight it saves you time at at the laundry .Please feel free to put these travel tested tips in your next E book no recompense or recognition is required

I was half watching this video while doing some other things and looked up to see someone very familiar walking along the path behind you. It was me, and I didn't even notice you guys on the day.🙂 Small world!

Love your videos! Following from London. We’ve started the visa process 3 months ago. Can’t wait to be down under! We’re yet to decide where to move to but at the moment we are looking at Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast.
Thank you for sharing all those helpful content. 🤗😘

Yes after arriving in London for the first time after 22 hours in the air some friends of my parents picked me up from the airport . I asked if I could have a quick rest before tea and woke up 12 hours later ..jet-lag is something that you definitely need to take into account ..Australia is a LONG way from England!

Just. One across your channel. We are coming out to Australia at the end of October through to the 2nd January. In the middle of planning and booking. Will be hiring a car from Melbourne and driving up to Port Douglas for Xmas. Can’t wait, just deciding how long to stay in each place, things have gone up so much from the last time we had booked back in early 2020, before having to cancel everything, especially car hire. I am definitely researching on places to see as I love waterfalls, scenery, beaches etc. roll on October. Need to avoid that ghetto you stayed at 😂

Unless you get a flat bed in Business Class (v expensive) break the journey for a day in Asia - Singapore is very safe and organised, Bangkok is great and cheaper but can be a bit more intimidating. Hong Kong worth looking at. Middle East for me is too near to break as only 7 hours from UK but Emirates, Qatar have good reputations as airlines. All airlines have their moments - good and bad - but as someone who has gone to Europe at least twice a year for 20 years never had real issues with Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific. Qantas won a consumer magazine "shonkies award" this year and their budget off shoot Jetstar has also had some issues though you would need to connect to them in Asia. Found BA a bit cramped. Low cost Scoot is cheap but you probably have to connect to it in Asia (ie get Turkish to Singapore then Scoot to Australia) - also Scoot has no inflight entertainment screens. Airfares lot cheaper if you buy them in Europe. But that is just my experience - others may have found the reverse
