Two things I'd like to add about mortgages - if you can, put your money in an offset account. The money you've saved and placed in this will lessen the interest you're paying on the loan as it completely offsets it for the dollar amount you put in it. For example, if you have $20,000 in savings and a $30,000 offset, you're only paying interest on the additional $10,000.
Another thing you can do is put all of your monthly spending on a credit card (to keep more in the offset longer) and then pay it off completely at the end of the month. If you get a credit card with rewards, you'll get to take advantage of them just for doing your normal, every day spending!

Likewise, if you ask ‘how much for cash?’ at Harvey Norman you’ll get a better price.

I don’t think it being cash actually makes the difference, Harvey Norman and JB HiFi are meant to negotiate slightly regardless

My local BP service station sells the small slushies for $1.50. A great treat during a stinking hot Queensland summer.

I have seven 11 app and use it a lot ,, BUT the max save is 25 cents a litre .. not the 40 cents you suggested

I just looked that up, is that a new rule they’ve put in? If not, I’ve thought I’ve been getting a better discount than I have 😂 25 cents is still pretty good though. The bigger price differences tend to be when the prices suddenly shoot up xx

Good morning 😊. I'm in NZ 😢 and use Woolworths Everyday rewards. Every week we get boosts and Gold card for pensioners. We only started this process in January this year. I have literally saved hundreds of dollars and received so many $15 vouchers. I think its about six now 😊. I buy only specials and boosts. The boosts this week are phenomenal. 10xpoints when spend $15 or more on health and beauty. 200 points on spend $10 or more on fruit and vegetables.❤Boom🎉. Another $15 dollar voucher thanks. That's two in my kitty for next petrol day. I love my everday rewards 😅❤😅. I make all my own bread and baked goods. Grow and preserve most of my fruit and vegetables. The bottling side of it all I am just in the process of learning 😊. This has saved me so much already 😊. Thanks for all your tips. Have a great week 😊.
