Your memes folder is unmatched! I died at the beginning 😂😂😂 Also ladies if you want to reuse your press-ons soak them in hot soapy water instead of acetone. They’ll also pop right off 😊

Wow I didn’t know that. How long do you have to soak them for?
@@rladii1536 soak in water for about 20/30 mins, depending on how much glue you've used and how long they've been on. I sell press ons so I have worn them and soaked them off in warm soapy water and olive oil quite a few times now. The trick is to be patient and not pry them off.
I like to wear nail guards underneath the glue for fast soak off or base coat like Jackie does as I think it protects the nails.
Another top tip is to buy a cheap efile to file off the excess glue residue from the press on before reapplying them. 🖤

Hello, I'm a licensed nail tech in NY. This is awesome advise for press-ons. When it comes to sizing, always go up a size if the nail doesn't fit completely from side to side. File the press-on on the sides to correct the size if the next size is slightly too big. If you go down in size and size and some of your nail is showing, it's too small and it will pop off much easier and much more often.

You can put them in warm water or blow dry them for a few minutes and gently squish them out so they'll fit.

Those people suck. Press ons nowadays look so real and they're way more affordable. Plus I dont have 2 hours to waste at a salon.

I would always recommend putting a bowl of hot water underneath the bowl of acetone (kind of like how you melt chocolate)! Coming from a nail tech's daughter, this speeds up the soak off! Also, use nail tabs- you can save the nails, to make them reusable. And they're WAYYYYY better for your nail beds.

I’ve personally found that when taking acrylics off and you’re soaking them in acetone, put the bowl of acetone in a bigger bowl with warm/hot water and it’ll help to melt the acrylic a little faster due to heating up the acetone.

i think its so funny how jackie has always championed for press on nails and people didn’t really care for it as much, but now with quarantine all the girlies are SCRAMBLING to buy press ons. i literally went to walmart the other day and all the press ons were sold out !!

Same! Everytime I went to the salon my nails would itch afterwards so I stopped going, got my own stuff and started doing it myself! I need to work on my acrylic application some and file for dear life but my nails comes out super cute and doesn't itch.
Same!! I want to try acrylic, but I also saw a girl use polygel in place of the acrylic and it came out well. That's the beautiful thing about doing your own nails though. So many options and so much fun.

@@kiabramlett7818 I started doing my own nails a few months ago, and I find polygel much easier to use than acrylic. Dual forms (I use the makartt ones, less than 15$ Canadian and they'll last you forever) also really help beginners like myself, because they give you that perfect curve/apex. I would advise a nail drill to get around the cuticle though, as it's tricky to get your hand file in there (not impossible though). Good luck :)

I know I am HELLA late to this, but I find that I can wiggle under my nails with a nail art brush dipped in acetone. Dip in acetone and slide it under and around the edges of the nail. They pop right off without pain and no need to clip or lift those edges!

I totally understand not going into a nail salon. I've been doing my own gel nails and extension since around December and I love it so much. taking time out of your day to care for yourself and listen to a podcast or music is so therapeutic 🥰

If you aren't ready yet you can get brush on nail glue and use it as a base coat. The polish will chip less. Downside is it will take a little longer to remove.
Press-ons really do grow your nails. Lately, I've been sticking to my natural nails due to Covid, but I use the press-on toe nails all the time.
I just recently bought some press on toe nails 😭 haven’t put them to use just yet though

Jackie- this is the best tutorial I have ever seen regarding press on nails. Not only do you show the way to do it, your education and experience taught me something. I tried acrylic nails for a year now. Some were good and some were bad. The person who did the good ones is no longer there. Then it was bad nails. I started looking at press on nails, I ordered the ones that *I* like (I envy you, I can't do too long of a nail). I have been prepping my nails for it since the press on should arrive today via Amazon. However, your point about nail spa really makes sense and having a nail hardener on also makes sense. I so appreciate it and I love your suggestion to keep the glue in your purse, I did not think of that. My biggest fear is the "popping out". Again, thank you so much. I am saving this video to refer back to it.

I absolutely love press ons videos. Started wearing them about 4 or 5 years ago and haven't looked back since. That color was super cute. I worked with this company a few years ago. What brands do you trust for press ons?
Another tip take a bowl of hot water (as hot as you can take it) put the acetone in a zip lock bag and a piece of paper towel to rub the nails against, put the zip lock in the bowl and it melts the nail off faster! It also works for SNS!!! Been wearing press ons for awhile now! And this helps with removal!
I’ve tried roughing up the inside of the press on before I glue the nail on and mine have lasted for about 2 and half weeks doing that without needing to reapply glue.

This is a great tip video for press-on nails. I've struggled with anxiety and biting my nails most of my life and discovering press-ons was a life-saver. Personally I like buying the cheaper, plain, clear salon press-ons and painting, decorating and shaping them myself because I just enjoy that part.

The brush on nail glue works really good as well! That’s the only one I use and my nails last more than two weeks. I put it on the nail and on my nail. Works wonders! 💕
