Hi Jackie. I’m an Indian girl who has darker skin, and I’ve been receiving comments about it my whole life. Given the rampant colourism within the community, I was always really insecure about my hyperpigmentation and especially my two-tone lips. I’ve only recently started to appreciate the beauty in my skin and this video was really uplifting. Thanks for all you do for darker skinned POC
I'm the exact same and my own mother says horrible things about it and lists 25 million things I should do to fix it all. Just wanted you say you're not alone! Also, Auntie Jackie is all the positivity I never had but always needed ❤️
Same girl. When applying lipstick it looks like two different colours. I've come to love, looks like tried something cute lol. I hate that it is family that will be hating on these things.
You’ve empowered me and made me laugh. As a dark skinned Asian girl, I have DEFINITELY wanted to change some dark features that just comes with these genetics but you consistently teach me to love myself and others to embrace and share the uniqueness of what is M E L A N I N! You deserve the world! Thank you! :)
Goth girl here, can confirm. (Also, don't let NOBODY tell you black girls can't be goth; they're some of the most striking queens of the subculture out there!)
I think she is great, addictive energy, and beautiful, however I do not consider her skin as dark skin. some people like me, who actually have dark skin do not consider it beautiful, and cannot achieve those glowing effects. Consider her lucky. Not all black skin is beautiful. I hate the color of my skin and would do anything to lighten it so I don't look like tar.
"Being dark is lit" - Jackie Aina. Shout out to all the beautiful girls who get that extra love from the sun. This is the content the world needs. Thank you for all you do! The impact you are making is just wow. So excited to share this!
Ada Émile Wtf, when did I ever say Mexican was a race? It’s kinda bold of you to come at me like that. I’m a graduate student & study my culture & heritage, so I’m pretty sure I know that Mexican isn’t a race lmao, wow. I’m Mexican & I happen to be very dark skinned. That’s what my comment said...don’t bother replying pls.
N S I’ve always struggled with the color of my skin. I love my tan skin don’t get me wrong but I’ve always been one of the lightest of my family and my mom always teased me about needing to go get sun. I’m finally starting to except that I get pale during seasons and that when it comes to the summer my skin gets tan
As a brazilian, as a male, as a non-participant of a beauty community, I watch your videos because you give me a "I would be friends with that girl" vibe. This is the reason why I adore you: you are educated, informed and YOU CARE! Keep up with the great work JACKIEEEEEEE!
@@NickNugget123 Oh you stop it. lol. True: I know nothing about nor I cabe about make up but she has such a good and comforting vibe... Thank you RUclips for I dunno Y you suggested it to me but I am glad it did. PS: You are cutter. hi hi Jakieeeee Familyyyyyy
What are you talking about? Most people in the world have brown eyes so obviously they are the most common and are like. If you're saying people dont go OMG to brown eyes like blue or grey eyes its because it's more rare and our eyes are more common.
Hi Jackie, I'm filipino and I've been watching your videos for a long time now. No one taught me to accentuate my brown skin better than you did. There's also a heavy colorism problem in the Philippines, and us brown skin girls have always been told to whiten our skin, straighten our hair, bla bla. Basically telling us not be ourselves and conform to the white-skinned, long haired Asian look. When I was 10, I also wanted to have a lip surgery to cut my lips slimmer so I won't have the two-toned "big lips" that they always told me is ugly. When I started watching your videos, I learned how to accentuate my natural feautures and to love my brown skin! I hope you see this message because literally without you, I wouldn't have anyone who told me I'm beautiful just the way I am. Love you, and always take care! xx
I'm asian and have a wider nose and hardly any bridge. I feel the same way about not contouring my nose. I don't want to hide/whitewash my natural features. I appreciate you affirming that! Hope you and your fam are well and safe!!
"my scars mean I've survived something... it may have been self inflicted by the means of popping a pimple myself, which i shouldn't be doing" this hit so close to home
Same here. My depression has been punching me in the face like crazy today. I even went out to get food just to get out of the house to not spiral down even more. Jackie is such a good motivation to work towards being more positive
Growing up as the “darkest” person I know people always clowned on me for having darker features on my body etc elbows eyelids lips BUT today you’ve made me feel beautiful girl 🥺
Auntie Jackie, I just want to thank you for continuously educating me about the problems with the beauty industry (in terms of inclusiveness of all people and skin tones). As a young, white teenager, I have grown up in a severely segregated area of the Midwest where there aren't ANY POC in my school district. I literally only experience different cultures when I drive to the nearest city to my town. Having you as a resource has helped educate me about different cultures and struggles everybody has. I am forever grateful for your channel! You are a true inspiration and I aspire to be as outspoken as you to educate others. As I go into the beauty industry (I am going to esthetician school) I will use your tips and advice to help my future clients. Love you always 🥰😘 Edit: you have taught me basically everything I know about makeup and skincare so thank you for inspiring me to go into a career that I will be passionate about!
Love this!! You will go so far in your career bc you will cater to all types of people. I’m asking God to bless your journey and to give you abundant success💗
I look at you and I see myself. You have the exacttt same skin as me, discoloration and all! Thank you for educating about not matching foundation to my neck and about not getting this procedure. Sincerely, A dark skin girl who is learning to love her skin
i literally loooooovveee that my lips are slightly darker on the outside. I love the "2 toned" look of my lips because its kinda like a natural lip liner lol ❤️
I've always loved that, too! I actually clicked on this video thinking it was showing how to get that look, haha.. I've even googled how to darken my lips before smh lol
I loved ALL of this! When my daughter was little girl I took her to a mirror and pointed out everything she had naturally that people pay big money for. Naturally lined lips was one of those features. She is now 21, and she loves her lips and everything else! Unfortunately, not every brown girl has positive reinforcement in their home, so it’s important for influencers like yourself to take on that responsibility for those who need it. Thank you for yet another hilariously funny information filled video.😘
JACKIEEEE SISSSSSSS I’m lighter toned and my lips are brown not pink and people ask me if I smoke... it’s so embarrassing and it’s made me so insecure I refused to wear lip gloss because mattes seemed to cover my brown lips the best I needed. I’m more secure in it now but honestly Thank you for this video 💞
H B I completely understand girl. People used to ask me for a ‘smoke’ all the time, as if I had a cigarette on me. I knew it was because of my lips being dark around the edges. But my grandmother used to tell me that I had built in lip liner, and that it was beautiful. And when I smile big, it really does look like a liner! Only now have I learned to embrace it. ❤️
Girl you need to live for yourself, I know it’s hard but if you just keep “hiding” yourself, even in some basic things (for some people) u will never find full happiness and confidence about yourself because of some things that people say. You do you!! Apply that lip gloss and feel the fantasy!! Post it on ig and just say fuck you to them!! Hope that everything works out for you🥰🥰🥰
I don't know if it's just me, but when Jackie was pointing out her different pigmentation, scars, etc at the beginning - I realized that I don't really process that as "bad" or as pronounced anymore after watching her the past few months. Not in a negative way. Just that whether Jackie has no makeup or is in full glam...I just see her as gorgeous Jackie because of her personality if that makes sense at all. Like yeah, I see it but it's no longer something I pay attention to because I'm just focused on her as a person .
I wish the world was filled with people like that instead of people being like "you have this, this and that so you go into this category". May the world change soon :3
Wow!!! I’m totally living for this comment, I feel the same way and thank goodness for all the lovelies who don’t see anything other than the light that shines thru Jackie ♥️
I think this is the reverse Halo effect, the Halo effect is where you like someone very much so you don't see all there flaws as prominently. Say Jackie was a shitty person (she's not btw) but if she was her Halo would kinda fade Because you realize how bad a person is its easier for you to see there flaws what you're experiencing is the the Halo effect but in reverse. 🖤
I'm Indian and more of a medium-tan complexion and probably not the audience for this video. But so many of the things you said in this video are so true for me too! My chin area is darker than the rest of my face too, I know most south asian girls deal with this. I never really got with contouring either because it never really sat right with me lol (aka, let's make our face shapes look more european!!) . Round tip nose girls WYA!! I'm so glad these tips and tricks are being talked about more now on youtube by you and many black/south asian youtubers
CJ Green it’s mimicking/creating that slim nose/face that is usually typical of Europeans compared to the often rounder features found in Asian faces. It’s just more common unfortunate due to colorism there’s a desire to look more white/European but things are definitely changing for the better!
MyNamed Name a narrow nose with a high bridge is a European trait which is what contouring highlights. The bridge or imagined bridge of your nose. Big or small are relative terms and every race has a range of nose width and size but there are specific traits that can't be denied. Like monolids for East Asians (this is not saying all East Asians have monolids or other races don't), curly/kinky hair for west Africans, narrow nose for Caucasians etc.
Isamar mercado/glam_by_isa_ I know I am Mexican and that makes me sad that people do that to other Latino women. 😔 it has happened since I was little.😔
@@avocado8137 same feelings about that. My mother is fair skinned, freckled, and bright red hair. My father is dark olive and black hair. Growing up, people loved pointing out how my mom’s genes weren’t dominant. As I grew up I always felt shamed. Fast forward 40 years I Married a white man who constantly reminds me how beautiful fair skinned women are. It’s a living nightmare. It’ll never end!
As someone who is a freelance artist THANK YOU!! This is so helpful for me to really match and correct deep skin tones and get educated on how I can improve on skin for clients to create that flawless finish! This video is literally so multi purpose so again go tf off miss Jackie 😻
They make me want to puke!!! Personally. . But , unfortunately you are probably correct. I feel like Hollywood has had it's day. People are waking up to the BS. Literally BS!! LOL
So, my heritage is Irish/German. Fair skin (usually 2nd/3rd lightest foundation shade in drugstores), freckles, blue eyes, Auburn hair. I started watching your videos because I’m an oily girl too, and you have the most helpful tips! I obvious don’t have the issues that you’re talking about in this video, but I watch everything you post because you’re entertaining and I have picked up at least one tip from every video I’ve watched. Thanks for teaching me while keeping me entertained!!
Same for me! I am a pale Slavic girl (NC15 level - which means that a few years back I fell out of the shade ranges at the other end of the spectrum, and how I usually pick the second lightest - if they have warm/olive undertones which are still rare in the paler shades). I started to watch Jackie for the oily skin tips, and stayed for Jackie herself. She's hilarious, and educative, and often has content that no one else has.
I thought she was talking more about nose contour. As someone who has been insecure about my nose spread, I love this! I'm def contouring my cheeks, though
Kelsey Bisset I am in the same boat I am so self conscious of my nose spread when I smile. I love that Jackie is challenging us to celebrate our features. Maybe less nose contour for me in the future ☺️.
I never even thought about the colour of my lips before. It's never occurred to me, never been something I had to stop and think about when buying lip products, never something that I was insecure about. This is why I love watching your videos, Jackie. Besides your sparkling personality and killer makeup skills, anyway. I learn about a privilege that I never even knew that I had. Thank you for continually opening my eyes and helping me to become a better ally.
I appreciate all of your kind words 🙌🏻 I feel like at least educating myself is the very least that I could do. It still never feels like enough but I hope it's something. I am deeply grateful to people like Jackie and other POC who are willing to help teach, even though I can only imagine how tiring it must be sometimes ❤️
I’ve seen your name everywhere “Auntie Jackie this, Jackie Aina that” but I never watched any of your videos. This is the second one today and I can definitely see why you’re so well known. You have a great personality and broad knowledge on what work for us melalinated beauties. Thank you! I wish I had half the talent you do.
This has to be one of the most positive make-up tutorials I've seen in a while. You have a really positive energy and I just want to say that it was great to watch. Thank you.
I know that a trademark of my father’s tribe is that they have very pink bottom lips and are dark skinned, while my mother’s are very brown ‘yet’ they are a lighter skinned people. I take after my fathers tribe, and since I don’t know that much about my heritage, it feels good to know I have a feature that ties me back to home.
I have the same trait. My dad is darkskin with a pink bottom lip and my mom is very lightskinned and has somewhat dark lips and I got my dad's features BUT MY TOP LIP THO. i'm proud to represent my dad's side too! And I completely agree with Auntie Jackie, as a medium brown skin girl, and my lips are dark but its awesome
I just love how Jackie makes us chocolate girls feel bomb af. One thing that I’m self conscious about is the darkness that I have around my mouth,it’s not extremely noticeable but I don’t feel as confident when Im bare faced at times, however, I still love my skin
i'm Brazilian, and when you mentioned the colorism and discrimination there i SCREAMED. so true. black people don't see themselves as black and it's insane to me
My mother works as an officer in a police station in Rio Grande do Sul. Something that happens everytime is people going there to do an occurrence and describes a black people like “oh so the robber was like...you know...a little brunette...”. Other sad thing is sometimes depending of the occurrence officers have to put your ethnicity in the papers and when they ask black people how they identify they often answer “I’m white”.
I love how this is focused on features, and texture (natural hair) Jackie you are far beyond a “beauty guru” thank you for doing makeup that represents the excellence that come with dark skin and our features 🔥🔥🔥🥰🥰😍😍😍👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💖💖
I would like to see their personalities equally yoked. Like when you're at a family function and your favorite cousin shows up. That would be so fun to watch.😁
I'm so happy you mentioned the colorism in Brazil!!! It's such a major part of our culture, that I'm mixed and I've been congratulated on being a lightskined by my own family, it's completely disgusting just how naturalized it is.
Okay, so I'm certainly not black. But as a medium-ish olive skin Latina, I spent a lot of my teen years hating my complexion. I have discoloration around my mouth and my eyes and my lips are darker and two toned. You loving your skin and uplifting dark skin women reaches far beyond the black community and I just want to say thank you.
I’ve always been self conscious of my two toned lips ever since someone close told me “if I didn’t know you I would’ve thought you were a smoker because of your lips” this was years n years ago but those words stick. Learning to love every bit of my body atm!
I used to think that having a dark top lip and a pink lower lip was weird and I almost tried to make my lips look more pink. But these days I love it bc I look cute regardless
I used to work in a makeup store. White people used to ask me for my natural dark lip line with pink in the middle. They thought it was makeup! Lol and they loved it. So did my bf. Now I’m on accutane and it is getting rid of my brown lip line and brown top lip and turning them light pink. I don’t look like myself anymore and I feel so ugly. LOVE YOUR LIPS THE WAY THEY ARE!
You're so right! People always want to "fix" something that was never a flaw. Just because your figures are different from the majority does not mean you're unattractive. I just shows how more beauty & unique you are!!
I’m a light skin Latina and I love how darker skin girls have like that natural ombré lip if I had that I would just use lip liner and gloss it looks so bomb 😎💋
I'm very white... so I don't know if I should even say anything. However, I completely adore the ombre effect on darker skin girls lips! I am finding them extremely attractive! Embrace your heritage girls! To put it in contrast my lips have no pigment whatsoever and without lipstick my lips are grey.
Thank you for videos like this. I’m a young professional makeup artist and I love learning how to properly accentuate dark skin. I struggle with it because I simply don’t have the access/ability to practice on dark complexions. I need education & knowledge of how to work on dark skin and do it justice because it truly is gorgeous and deserves to be just as beautiful and accepted as any other skin tone. Videos like this help me feel more confident in working on dark skin tones! And they help me know what products are the best!
One of my favorite things is that she doesn't have a theme song, she just hypes herself up at the beginning of every video and it is wonderful and the level of self love I wish to someday achieve
I really love this video for two reasons: 1) because I love how in-depth she is about different UNDERTONES of darker skinned women and Jackie shows you how to accentuate instead of hiding your beautiful features 2) I have what most people would call a “baby face” that when I acted in high school the lady who did my makeup wouldn’t do “stage makeup” or wouldn’t put too much makeup on me because my face wasn’t having it lol. So I’m always trying to look for something that is subtle and will just enhance my features and this video is PERFECT 👌🏾
I want you to know you've had a big impact on me. I've never followed black makeup RUclipsrs because as a super white girl I didn't think it would be helpful, but I stumbled upon your channel recently and have learned so many random bits I wasn't getting from other RUclipsrs. What I also love about you is you know how to communicate in a school-appropriate way without feeling like you are sacrificing your personality or culture, which a lot of my black students struggle with and I feel like I never quite know how to reach them where they are at, so I feel like watching your videos also helps be me a more culturally responsive teacher.
I’m a deep tan Asian girl and I went to a Macy’s when I was younger and wanted bronzer and she was like, why do you need bronzer you’re too dark, so I never got it. I don’t really know how to do makeup but I like how u used it on your eyes! :) now I know I can use bronzer lol
Girl I-.. unbelievable! Everyone can use ANYTHING! You just have to find your shade and suiting product. I am shocked. Please buy yourself a bronzer and SLAY IT, QUEEN!
I’m BARELY lighter than Jackie and I love using a bronzer or slightly orange blush as bronzer in the winter to make me look like I’m a summer tanned goddess lol dark skin glows, shame on that ignorant colorist bitch 🤬
MiVidaBellisima I just realized how harmful that small interaction was and I think it can rly mess up someone’s perception on beauty,. I rly believed her and I didn’t think she was trying to be mean. But I know now she must have been very misinformed, or something. Thank you sm I can’t wait to look at bronzers :)
You don’t seem full of yourself. You have the confidence everyone show aim to have. I’m dark with really light pink lips and I would feel self conscious but then I realised I look unique and different. Lips stick looks amazing on me
The colorism and racism in Brazil is such a real thing. Thanks Jackie for saying that. Direct descendants of African being guilty of that too. I saw so much of that growing up there. Preach auntie for the people in the back!!
@@vl3525 Light skin brazilians are cute, pretty etc and dark skinned with black features aren't. Because of colorism and racism many girls, like me, grow up knowing that lighter skin is way prettier than darker ones. At adulthood many women try to get rid of their wide noses, dark lips, dark knuckles, dark croochie and their curly hair.. I was one of these girls. Ashamed of my medium-dark skin, my curly hair, curvy body and I'm still trying to accept myself just like i am...tbh, it's hard when no one support you.
I was raised as caucasian until I heard my great grandfather was black and married a white woman (huge scandal back then). Only then I realized I was mixed race. I heard I should “marry white to purify the race”. Ew. Keep in mind I’m 15% Nigerian 10% Native American according to my DNA test And Brazilian hair straightening is basically a way of disguising “cabelo ruim”, bad hair The list goes on and on
@@formulanostalgiachannel4361 the worst thing is that the parents and grand parents are the ones telling their son/daughter to "purify the race" :/ Eu não sei se vc soube mas tem uma moça pretinha que tinha a pele bem escura que foi escolhida pra promover o carnaval e ai ela samba na publicidade da globo. Teve uma controversia por ela ser "muito escura" porque a globo so pegava mulatas e depois tiraram ela e escolheram uma mulher com pele mais Clara.
after so many years of being insecure about my melanin "flaws", this video managed to make me feel better about it and how to wear it proud. this is important.
Exactly, Jackie!! Telling Whole Truth!! I love having the darker top lip and the pink bottom lip tho.. I never ever saw that as needing to be corrected..
I used to be very insecure about my lips when I was younger. I didn’t understand why my top lip was darker than my bottom lip. Some of the melanin challenged girls used to point them out. When I started wearing makeup, I started to love my lips and say it’s my perfect ombré nude color lol.
HolisticSituations perfect lips for a Gloss & Go type of day!!! People always thought I had lipliner on cuz I am lighter but nope just blessed💁🏽♀️ buhahaha😈
Oh my god same. I tried pulling dead skin off my top lip to make it match my bottom lip when I was younger. One day, I looked in the mirror and realized that it didn't look bad. I realize what I was doing was wrong and I stopped. I now embrace my lips and the melanin in it.
I had such a bad day and I felt like I couldn’t get my mind off the negatives. Watching this was like having my sister cheer me up. Jackie always reminds me I‘m blessed and beautiful. I feel like I can take on the day tomorrow
Ooh! What is it on? I did MSc and MPM back to back, so I know about procrastination 😂 😂. I am REALLY interested and would love to read! I’m such a geek.
I’m Latino and have always had big lips and my top lip is dark halfway and my bottom has a darker outer area & I was always told it was “unattractive” & it was one of the many things that I was made fun of for... especially bc back in the day my lip size wasn’t desirable anyways. And learning to embrace darker lips / the Natural colors god gives you’re lips is soooo important. ❣️
@Your thoughts Not mine Race is a construct of north western european men hundreds of years back. Race doesnt exist. Ethnicity, culture and geographical areas do, although country borders arr mostly also created by those same pale men, so they don't exist either (lilke literally with a ruler and pencil during the1836 Berlin conference regarding Afrikan borders). For example Afrikan, South American and Asian people have skin tones rangimg from the lightest imaginable to the richest darkest imaginable, with hair the same and hair texture from stick straight to the tightest curl. So within so called people of color every imaginable skin and hair tone and texture exists, and in every conceivable combination. The same with eye colours. Besides all that when people say other people looked mixed race they most often mean so called POC mixed with white. Thats just one combination of mixing. Yall know so called POC also mix, and that is also mixed, not only white mixed with so called POC is a mixed baby. Yall keep placing white as the centre of standards. Its bullshit. White is the minority. Yes theyre a minority who created most chaos, but they remain a minority. Lastly aint noooobody can tell on aaanybody what mix or no mix they are.
One of the perks I appreciate about being as dark as I am is the fact that I'm pretty much the same tone all over. I don't really have any discoloration. Loved this, the end result is beautiful!!
I’ve always loved when girls with dark skin and dark lips just wear gloss, I think it’s so beautiful. I didn’t even realise it was something some people are insecure about :(
I'm highly melinated and I had no idea this was an insecurity lol. It's weird to me. Like, if someone said they didn't like their earlobe or something.

You’re a delight. Watching and listening lifted my spirits today. I love your look. So dewy and glowing. A lot of different steps, but you look amazing. What are you talking about? Most people in the world have brown eyes so obviously they are the most common and are like. If you're saying people dont go OMG to brown eyes like blue or grey eyes its because it's more rare and our eyes are more common.
Absolutely! Brown eyes are so warm and welcoming and sweet. My bf's brown eyes are one of my fave features of his.
Excellent

Love you, and always take care! xx

Love you always 🥰😘
Edit: you have taught me basically everything I know about makeup and skincare so thank you for inspiring me to go into a career that I will be passionate about!

Su D wow I love that!!!!

May the world change soon :3
honestly same. i never even noticed anything, she really is so gorgeous
Hi Joy, please see my Russian videos
I'm Indian and more of a medium-tan complexion and probably not the audience for this video. But so many of the things you said in this video are so true for me too! My chin area is darker than the rest of my face too, I know most south asian girls deal with this. I never really got with contouring either because it never really sat right with me lol (aka, let's make our face shapes look more european!!) . Round tip nose girls WYA!! I'm so glad these tips and tricks are being talked about more now on youtube by you and many black/south asian youtubers
Anathema Device how does contouring your face make it more European lol
CJ Green it’s mimicking/creating that slim nose/face that is usually typical of Europeans compared to the often rounder features found in Asian faces.
It’s just more common unfortunate due to colorism there’s a desire to look more white/European but things are definitely changing for the better!
Relatable as a Latina!
Having a small nose is not a European trait
MyNamed Name a narrow nose with a high bridge is a European trait which is what contouring highlights. The bridge or imagined bridge of your nose. Big or small are relative terms and every race has a range of nose width and size but there are specific traits that can't be denied. Like monolids for East Asians (this is not saying all East Asians have monolids or other races don't), curly/kinky hair for west Africans, narrow nose for Caucasians etc.

This entire video was a vibe that made me feel so much more proud to have dark skin. Thank you.
I really love this video for two reasons:
1) because I love how in-depth she is about different UNDERTONES of darker skinned women and Jackie shows you how to accentuate instead of hiding your beautiful features
2) I have what most people would call a “baby face” that when I acted in high school the lady who did my makeup wouldn’t do “stage makeup” or wouldn’t put too much makeup on me because my face wasn’t having it lol. So I’m always trying to look for something that is subtle and will just enhance my features and this video is PERFECT 👌🏾
Im not even a dark skin girl.... and I love your channel and appreciate what you bring to the beauty community. Xo keep doing your thing girl

"being dark is lit" amen sis
No joke, I’m supposed to be working on my PhD thesis right now but it’s aunt Jackie. How could I not watch this?
crazyadolescent16 girl, same here 😅
I mean. Have to basically build a spreadsheet for a meeting and haven’t started but I’ve magically found 33 minutes to dedicate to Jackie 🤣
Ooh! What is it on? I did MSc and MPM back to back, so I know about procrastination 😂 😂. I am REALLY interested and would love to read! I’m such a geek.
“This is how scholarships are acquired.” SISSSS😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Melanated skin has to be treated differently, not washed away! Periodt 👏👏
“You’re loud, oh my God” society when a black woman says literally anything
I’m Latino and have always had big lips and my top lip is dark halfway and my bottom has a darker outer area & I was always told it was “unattractive” & it was one of the many things that I was made fun of for... especially bc back in the day my lip size wasn’t desirable anyways. And learning to embrace darker lips / the Natural colors god gives you’re lips is soooo important. ❣️
Your thoughts Not mine and?
Your thoughts Not mine ohhmyyyy🙄🙄
@@ts4686 Can you PLEASE comment this EVERYWHERE?!!!
@@matheuslanerre2895 Thank you.
Its so simple. Wish everybody would understand this.
I sing your Jackie song to my pup (his name is Jack) AND HE LOVES IT. He is like "OMG IM JACKIE IM JACKIE OMG IT ME". 😂❤️
One of the perks I appreciate about being as dark as I am is the fact that I'm pretty much the same tone all over. I don't really have any discoloration. Loved this, the end result is beautiful!!
i think thats just an individual perk, cause im dark and my skin tone is not even at all.
I am an olive skin complication Mexican girl. I lalalalaloveeee watching Jackie. She educates me to the fullest.
You accept our Dark skin. And yaassss I need to start color correcting around my lips I’m tired of the bearded look I be getting 🤣🤣
OHEMAA BONSU I love you and your videos!!
🤣🤣🤣not the bearded look! Love you!
You don't have a bearded look. You have one of the most amazing skins I know.
It looks like my lips a lined automatically lol I love it. I didn't know ppl my complexion and darker were insecure about it either. 🥺
Automatically or naturally? Lol that made me laugh girl!
Same!!! My lips are naturally so pale that you can't even see them unless I use a lip pencil (an absolute must for me every day). I would give ANYTHING to have a nice dark juicy lips like you darker ladies out there :)
i’m a lil insecure because my lips are so dark but this made me feel better 🥺
I am very lucky to not have to think about my skin color, so I love seeing these videos so when my friends speak to me about this subject, I am educated enough to listen to them. I love this women encouraging women to accept themselves. Love you jackie, you always have my support! ❤️
You’re a delight. Watching and listening lifted my spirits today. I love your look. So dewy and glowing. A lot of different steps, but you look amazing. You are so affirming about accentuating black features, and it’s never bad to get those positive reminders to love your natural features. Also, your no-makeup face looks great too. But at the end of the video you’re so glam. Thanks for sharing this today.
