Crono pursues Marle through a mysterious portal that appeared at the fair, finding himself in a new place and time entirely - 600 AD, the middle ages, four hundred years before his time. The people here know nothing of his fair (obviously), and are preoccupied with the war with the Fiendlord Magus.

It's actually a reference to the American "localization" of Pokémon. Those triangular rice snacks you always see? They were called jelly donuts for American audience but they didn't change any animation 😂
I don't know what 4Kids was thinking. Even as little kids, we knew what rice was and if they'd called them rice snacks it would have been understood immediately. It wouldn't have confused anyone... but no... instead they call them jelly donuts and that was actually more jarring. We know what a jelly donut is and those sure as snorlax were not jelly donuts.

That's right. I didn't really like the song in the game, but when I heard it here with the singing, I liked it.
I wanna cry, the soda pop joke was pure gold, the chorus' high notes were absolute perfection, the timing on the chorus as well is amazing, Crono's high note line at the end was beautiful, so were his low note lines. Moon did lovely in this song and I'm so very proud. Tom's debut as Toma was absolutely hilarious. Alex's lines as the second soldier was also pretty awesome! ALSO SCOTT IS HERE AAA SCOOT! Queen's line was really awesome too. I can hear the entire chorus clearly and I can even make out a few of the singers without looking into the description for them. I was honestly hoping for a Toma song line, and although there wasn't one, the soda pop joke was even better than that. This song exceeded my expectations, and it's my favorite of the OST, and as of right now, the entire musical.
Also you can make a Tom/Toma pun with how Crono says "Toma". "Tom-a" boi

600 ÷ 21 ≈ 29, which is a reasonable number of years per generation, so perhaps the year 1 (as we do not have a year 0 in the Gregorian calendar) marks the first year of the reign of the first Guardia monarch.

I'm glad you added lyrics to "Yearnings of the Wind." I didn't really like the song in the game, but when I heard you singing it, I liked it. I like how the lyrics hint at the making of Leene's Bell with "a bell soon may chime."
Even if I didn't know this was being done by the same people who did the Undertale Musical, there's no mistaking what your chorus sounds like.

This is FANTASTIC! Why am I just now finding this? The lyrics on the timestamps I listed could be used in the novelization (possible film script) I'm working on. (I only leave out Crono's verse because the novel doesn't take the form of a musical.) The idea I have is that this song is written by Queen Leene to motivate the troops in the war's darkest days, and she intends to sing it herself at the Span of Zenan shortly before battle breaks out on the bridge, but because Leene is secretly pregnant by this time she gives the song to Marle to sing in her stead (posing as Leene). The soldiers then start singing it with her, and the melody starts spreading throughout the army. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about how this scene will play out.

another amazing song and with alittle exposition in there to boot I just love the chorus in here they are amazing they really portray that "war torn" country vibe it's amazing. oh and the amazing art I just love it whoever made it really sold that "time traveler's" look of shock when he realizes he is in another time and his country is in a state of war with Magus's army. Plus I love the fact that the lines regarding alcohol are censored and replaced with soda so funny it really makes you think your in a professional musical and since kids are most likely in or gonna be in the audience they had to portray a kid Friendly vibe absolutely amazing I can't wait to see what comes out next week is it gato's theme, Magus's theme, schala's theme or maybe something with Masa and mune or maybe Dalton who knows(MOTI knows) but whatever it is will add to the greatness that is chrono trigger the musical

I'm so freaking mad this only has only this many views and only like 300 likes. I am not over exaggerating, being dramatic, or fangirling when I say this because it is simply a straight up fact: This is the most amazing, beautiful music I have heard in weeks, months maybe. Actually I wouldn't even say it's music. It's even higher than that.
A few weeks ago I played some songs in a band of like 100 people in front of like 800 people. The music we played was epic and just filled me with good vibes whenever I heard it or when we all played it.
Listening to this song makes me feel just like I did then. That's how good it is. This song deserves the world's attention.
